A lavish military parade was held on October 1, 2019, in Beijing to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and Communist Party rule. A parade of troops, tanks and missiles - many seen publicly for the first time - crossed Tiananmen Square and paraded along the capital’s Chang’an Avenue.

It's just humbling to see one of the poorest countries become one of the richest (in terms of GDP) in less than a century.
In these couple years,
They've stopped the advancement of the Gobi Desert by planting thousands of hectares of trees.
They've raised millions of people out of poverty from I infrastructure and education projects.
They've become of the the leaders in the world in technology, particularly 5G.
And recently, they have stopped being known for cheap goods and more about quality, design and volume.
There's alot of flack because they're communist but that's not an issue anymore. They have as many capitalist companies as America if not more. People say its not secure because the government can tell companies to do things but as we recently saw, even Google needs to bend to the will of Trump.
And their political process is simply upgrades. From suburban, regional, state etc etc management. And this will prevent unqualified people from becoming the president.

Watched the parade in its entirety over 3 hours last night. It was absolutely majestic and beautiful. China has come a long way against all odds. So happy to see our brethrens be proud of their motherland and filled with optimism toward the future. HKers should stop the violence and learn to be pragmatic again. 中華兒女團結 祖國萬歲!
