    From Sam’s we do monthly
    1 10lb of ground beef
    4-5 rotisserie chickens
    1 8-10 pork tenderloin ( 1/2 for pork chops we cut it ourselves, other half for pulled pork).
    The sausage that you use with you green beans, potatoes crock pot recipe I can’t remember the name. There’s 3 in a package.
    Over time this will help stock your freezer. 💜

      That’s a great idea with Pork tenderloin saw a great price on ur at our local HEB but never thought of cutting it for pork chops 🤔I really thought I don’t know how to cook one so I didn’t buy it. Now after ur ideas wish I would have 🤦🏻‍♀️

    When I was raising my kids we had breakfast once week like French toast, Pancakes, another night we had a meatless dinner such as maybe soup or pasta with no meat. I know things are very expensive but I hardly ever had any kinds of snack except maybe chips or popcorn. Yes that ground beef and chicken are good so many kinds of different ways to use both.

    You can make bone broth in your slow cooker from the chicken bones and use it in your stews. Adds so much flavor and it’s so good and easy to make

      I took a large pot and actually put the entire chicken carcass in the pot and covered it with water. I had some onion skins and wilted celery. I was going to trash. Made a really flavorful broth. Simmered for a couple of hours. I left in the pot and let it cool and strained the broth. I poured in freezer containers. You can also pour in ice cube trays and freeze. Then, place the frozen cubes in freezer bags.

    About those chickens! Put the skin and bones in a crockpot. Fill with water and cook on low for about 8 hours. Makes the BEST bone broth.
    I did 2 chickens and got about 2 gallons of bone broth off of them😊

    After the holidays, grab as many turkeys and spiral hams etc. They will be cheap. And you can really make them stretch for meals once cooked. I did one huge spiral ham for a dinner, then left overs for dinner, and then I did a homemade ham and bean soup that last like 3-4 days. Amazing. A week's worth just from one ham

    Thanks for sharing... we also do 1x a month Sam's haul and budget accordingly. We actually try to rotate thru bulk items on a 3-4 month basis. We generally buy our meat every 3 months from a local butcher that only uses local farmers, but follow him for "special sales." Otherwise, we try to locally shop for fresh produce and dairy from local groceries that run weekly sales. ❤

    Hey! I heard you say you buy cat litter, saving tip is to use horse pine pellets for litter instead of actual cat litter! Can get a 40lb bag for like $7 at your local farm and fleet store, use a little in there and when you’re ready to change just throw it away! I was super skeptical at first but now I wouldn’t go back, we’ve been doing that for about 6 months now and love it! Not to mention it has saved us so much money, and no more scooping! Win-win!

    You are doing a great job budgeting and making things stretch. I enjoy all your videos and tips you share. We buy our meats in bulk at Sam's Club and freeze individually also. It is also nice for household items too, once you build up a stock, which takes a while. Then i wait for the sales rotation and buy enough to last until the next sale, if i can afford it. Thank you so much for sharing today 😊❤

    very good we use Sams for gas and some things to buy bulk items. I found other stores were better for the 2 of us for meats but eh $5.00 chicken hack I will do next time. I have 6 months of meats and cheeses in my deep freezer now so all I have to do is keep the dog and cat fed with the usual eggs milk creamers

    We have a Costco and a sams club and sams is still cheaper for us on basics. Like for example breakfast sausage is like 2.00 less and with more meat in the pack. Than Costco. But Costco has more packaged “healthy” brands. But it’s hard to know how much cheaper unless you already shop like super expensive brands like that. Like primal kitchen. Sams doesn’t have those brands. Idk if that helps but I don’t think your missing out on Costco.

      Cause I was about to stop buying them at Sams n call them ask them to make sure they don’t take out to soon cause not fully cooked or I would get sidetracked n forget to call them to let them know. But love the convenience of buying them.

    I do have a question. Isn’t it a waste of money paying the pick up fee and the other prices that you’re charged for somebody shopping for you? I’ve been looking into this for myself that’s why I asking.

    • @Angelaml222
      @Angelaml222 9 месяцев назад +3

      Walmart does not charge a pick up fee. My local grocery store does - therefore I do not use it unless I have a promotional coupon to make it worth it. I live in the North - no where near Texas. I am cheap and won’t pay a pick up fee or delivery fee. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I also don’t have little kids - so it’s all what it’s worth to you I guess.

    • @cookjr71
      @cookjr71 9 месяцев назад +2

      Sam’s doesn’t charge pickup either. I think Aldi does but when you have small kids it’s worth it. It’s also worth it to keep you out of the store from spending extra money from stuff you see. So to me it balances out. Sometimes your time is worth saving too with small kids as well.

    • @PsychoSusieHomemaker729
      @PsychoSusieHomemaker729 9 месяцев назад +3

      For Sam's club... if she got the plus membership (around $100 a yr) she gets free pick up and earns cash back on purchases. If she got a regular membership ($45 a year unless it went up since i got it) she would pay $4 fee for pick up. Before prices skyrocketed i was able to spend enough at Sam's club each year to pay for my plus membership with the cash back rewards and save money on what i bought compared to regular stores. Also, when trying to stay in a strict budget paying a pickup fee may save her money with not buying other things, which is always my downfall (lol especially if my husband goes with me, which usually turns a $100 trip into a $200-300 trip).
