The Kite Runner was so amazing and sad and just a book that will touch your soul. You should read As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow. You will love it, I gave it 5 stars! I’m going to start the Cassandra Clare series in January and will hsve to do some research as where to start. I agree with One Day, it was a struggle for me to finish. I need to watch the movie or tv show soon. Love this tag!
You couldnt be more correct about The House Across the Lake. It was super easy to read and flowed so well, a pretty popular youtuber recommended it so when THAT was the plot twist… i felt so betrayed.
Yesss, the part where you mentioned not setting reading goals is so real, I also don't want to do that or else reading would feel like a chore and I don't want my escapism to feel that way at all
I personally dislike Happy Place and Beach Read by Emily Henry, too. And I know I’m in the minority here, but look give her a last chance and read ‘Funny Story’. I adored it. 😁
Starting strong with the hot takes 😂 It’s funny because I was thinking that Powerless was one of my disappointing books of the year, and I think Love and Other Words is overhyped as well… Not surprised by Cassandra Clare being featured here!! Totally agree about Beartown, it just hits you at different moments 💔 Yesss Piranesi 😍 I keep thinking I want to re-read Divine Rivals which is funny because I wasn’t 100% obsessed with it when I first read it but I keep wanting to read it again for some reason, haha. And yes you do need to read Crooked Kingdom!! Fun tag! ❤️
Ohhh roman and iris were definitely one of my favorite couples I read about this year too!! I really want to give Emily Henry a try because so many people love her books, but knowing you don't connect with her writing makes me scared I won't either. The things you don't like in books are usually things I dislike as well so now I'm worried 😭
Sarah bestie I filmed this tag too (haven't uploaded it yet) and the way we gave the EXACT same answer for the author that didn't work for us this year 😂 and now I'm thinking that I should have chosen piranesi too for most unique concept 🙈 great video beautiful bestie ❤
Yayy bestie posted!!! Edit: my fav therapy is to watch you yap about books for hours n hours♥️ it's no surprise our girl Cassie gets a shout out hahaa, I agree bae,I too don't vibe with contemporary romances😢.. I want to read Piranesi so bad cuz of you😭oh and I'm yet to read the LAST HOURS!! I'll get to it after my exams which won't be over until Feb😭 I'm not reading Kite runner this month 🥲won't be able to handle the infuriating emotions haha.. Thanks for posting Sarah
I agree with you on Emily Henry, however I decided one more time with Funny Story and i gave it 4.5 stars, I’m surprised I liked it that much. Maybe if you feel like giving one more chance try that one!
Have you read any book by Tahereh mafi ??? Her writing style is great I read This woven kingdom series by her and also shatter me series which is amazing 😭🔥 How about sword catcher by Cassandra clare ??? (You know I'm a big Cassandra clare fan 😅😎) And also Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer ??? I mean it's also a great series which is kinda sci-fi and fantasy And the The Inheritance Games ... What about The fine print book i don't read it yet but It looks nice This is some book suggestion from me 😁☺️
i've been trying to get into emily henry too, so i'm reading her books in release order, i was also not impressed by beach read and then people we meet on vacation was also a let down, i will give her one more chance, if i don't like book lovers then i won't bother with her books anymore
I want to read the Clare books so badly but I despise love triangles so I can't bring myself to pick them up. 😭 And it's so refreshing to not be the only person that doesn't like Emily Henry lol
i could listen to you talking about books for HOURS😭💞 loved the video sarah!!
STOP IT!!🥹🥹❤️❤️ thank you so much!! That makes me so happy!! Thank you for listening to my yapping!!

Omg you opened a new mindset why make life harder? Very valid and great point!
RIGHT??! Like why add all that extra pressure 🥲🥲

Yay for Magnolia and BJ 🎉🎉🎉 ,you really get to love and understand them in their second book ‘the long way home ‘
Yesss, the part where you mentioned not setting reading goals is so real, I also don't want to do that or else reading would feel like a chore and I don't want my escapism to feel that way at all
EXACTLY!!! Reading is meant to be pleasurable!! Making it a chore/challenge takes that away 🥲❤️
I personally dislike Happy Place and Beach Read by Emily Henry, too. And I know I’m in the minority here, but look give her a last chance and read ‘Funny Story’. I adored it. 😁
I’ve heard a lot of people say that!! FINEEEE maybe one more Emily Henry book🤣🤣❤️❤️

You should read “As long as the lemon tree grow” by Zoulfa Katou. Pretty devastating book it is.
Love your video ❤ I also don’t make a book reading goal. I read just for fun.
I'm so so sad you didn't love a novel love story !! 😢 I loved this book. ❤️ but I dnf reckless. Didn't really care for Powerless too....

Everyone has different opinions and taste
