I had a couple dream mics until I checked out the brand new Requisite Audio L7. If you need a do-it-all mic then this is the go-to mic. They even took out the need for those bulky mic-preamps, to help free up your work environment with their state of the art technology. Alison Krauss tracked with in on her new album "Windy City". The RA L7 is currently at the special low price of only $18k :) It's the most affordable solution hobbyists and even novice home studio engineers who want to take their craft to the next level.... Fantastic video ! These videos are awesome because they really gives us all some exposure and information on great products that we may not know about. Thank you so much ! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I have recorded on the Neuman M149 in the studio I record at for some years now and love the quality. I would love to have this one for my own personal studio. Thanks Sweetwater for this opportunity.
I guess the Lauten Audio Eden didn't quite make the cut. Waiting for microphones manufacturer to advance in their capsule making process. Would really be cool to see a mic with a curve diaphragm for much larger surface area.
Something is telling me the Townsend Labs Sphere is kicking so much butt that they had to make a video reminding you of the higher-priced mics that the Sphere emulates.
I guess you need to pick your favourites and keep the list down to just 11 mics, but I thought I'd see the U67 reissue, Sony C-800, C12, and the newer Earthworks SV33 on the list. Still, the list in the video really is a dream locker :-)
Won’t knock any of these mics but it’s actually a good advertisement for Sphere L22. Even if you think you want one of these and can afford one the sphere will confirm and educate you about the differences 95%. It’s probably all you need unless you’re doing 5-6 figure projects.
Any list of "top" vocal recording microphones that doesn't include the Neumann M49 or the FleA M49 is incomplete . It's not something that is up for debate, it's just a fact.
Out of the ones mentioned I really think only one of those should barely skim the list being the OC818. but the ones on sweetwaters list are stoops above.
