I'm 16 and I completely agree. I mostly listen to old songs and feel like an outcast among my so called friends. But do I care? Absolutely no! If someone is missing out, it's them.
I remember growing up with Ricky Nelson music and television shows in the 1950"s. I always loved his songs presented in such a professional manor where you could understand the lyrics and music very clearly. I remember hearing the news of his death in a plane cash while I was entertaining in Prairie du Chien Wisconsin, located by the Mississippi River. He will live forever in the groves of his records, and in the heart's of his fans across the world!.
I was born in 1951 and have enjoyed music all my life! It seemed like wherever we went there was a radio or jukebox or stereo playing. Now I'm a RUclips fan and have found so many older songs and some new music as well, or at least new to me. I don't remember this version of I Will Follow Him, but I love it. The other version my girlfriends in grade school use to sing on our walks around the school during our lunch hour! Nowadays instead of my transistor radio, I take my tablet with me to listen to - technology of today!
I remember hearing and watching him on their tv show and was enthralled at a very young age. He had such suave way about him that I think pulled in the girls. Cute starting with those blue eyes, right down to the smooth sound, no matter what song he sang. So, yup I think I can say he was my very first musical crush~ Thank you for your write up on him.

Late 50s and early 60s when music was truly beautiful, not like the garbage the past couple decades. From Ray to the Mama and Papas, so forth. Those were the great years of modern music where you could understand the lyrics, sing along cry and truly be in love.
Hey, James! You are no better than a horse's ass! When music means something to someone, man Hope you never loose someone! You won't give a shit! Sorry, but your comment was uncalled for!
Old folks are forgotten actors who, with no new role anymore, now reminisce and sigh. James (the boy) cussing profanities at them may simply be cussing at himself: forever young, he’s not!

What a melodious velvety voice…. No overriding music … no shouting… no monkey-jumping on the stage…. BUT..
pure grace and elegance … from lyrics to music to singing and demeanor… What a gem 💎
Oh my, his voice is dreamy! I've never heard this version of this song. Beautiful!
Que maravilha de vídeo! Traz um imenso bem estar ouvir a voz do Ricky...
I'm 14 and I grew up listening to this guy! amazing that my generation doesn't care about an artist as great as Rick Nelson
I'm 15 and I agree
I agree, I'm happy to see people of my generation listening to Ricky Nelson
it's not bad 🤔
You grew up listening to talent ( the renaissance of music) rather than manufactured shite or head banging so called music today. Good for you 👍
I'm 16 and I completely agree.
Yes, He was stoned and flying the plane. Good work Ricky! You killed others as well.
Unbelievably good looking and much talent. What more could one want?
50s 60s music will never die, rock and roll aswell here to stay.
Another French song, just like "My Way" (Sinatra) and "Can't stop falling in Love" (Presley)...

Maravillosa canción 👏👏👏👏
Ricky is still my "TEENAGE IDOL".He is irreplaceable.
In the late 1950s, I had his pictures all over my side of the room. My sister had Elvis on her side. I LOVED Ricky Nelson! Natural handsomeness.

I remember Ricky Nelson so well! I was in high school when his music was popular and so was 'The Nelsons' TV show. I even have some of Ricky's old 45 rpm records. What a great voice!

Felicitaciones.

That gorgeous face, that smooth, mellow voice! When I was a young girl (about eleven so twelve), I was in love with him. Fifty-seven years later he still makes me swoon. What a shame he passed so young. His twin boys did well for a while. I wonder what they’re up to now.❤️🦘

Met Ricky after one of his concerts. What I admired about his music is that he didn't just depend on his prior hits, but continued to evolve as an artist. He seemed like a humble man who played down his talent. Unfortunately, we lost him way to soon.

Late 50s and early 60s when music was truly beautiful, not like the garbage the past couple decades. From Ray to the Mama and Papas, so forth. Those were the great years of modern music where you could understand the lyrics, sing along cry and truly be in love.
asshole, stop living in the past, the past is past, get a goddamn life
So true. Back then there were lyrics with pure meanings and emotions and no slangs.
I agree 100% late 50's and 60's the best music ever made! Back then you had to be able to sing or you would not make it
Can’t forget anticipating the closing moments of their tv show …a thrill to watch beautiful Ricky and his rather slight imitation of sullen Elvis …but hear that smooth voice come out of the slightest smile….he was a dream!
Such a handsome, talented singer!
