Talking Cruise My first cruise was from Port Canaveral. It was a bit messy getting from MCO to the hotel since so many flights were delayed, and then the bus wasn’t on time to go from the hotel to the pier. The post-cruise pier to MCO leg was a breeze though.
I have cruised from Port Canaveral several times, but I live in south Florida so I just had to hop in my car on the morning of the cruise & drove to the port! I do know that it is a longer drive from the airport to the port than most people realize!! Usually lots of traffic!! GoPortCanaveral sounds like an excellent option!
We used Fly Snooze and Cruise. This was the best. I had 26 people with me. We were picked up at the airport stayed at the Hampton Inn Orlando Airport Gateway Village Queen. Ate breakfast that morning and the bus was there promptly to take us to the port. We returned and the bus was there to take us back to the airport. The trip was awesome.
Hi Jozetta, thanks for watching. Glad to hear of your positive experience. I spent two days with Go Port Canaveral staff filming their operation at the Orlando airport, hotel, parking facility and Port Canaveral. They are extremely customer focused and offer a fantastic value.
Hi TigerMotionPictures, thanks for watching. I guess it being cheaper could depend on the specific hotel and dates, but I think many people (especially first timers) would prefer to get everything bundled.
Although it would suit some, we are flying in five days before Cruise, from the UK, hiring a car at MCO, staying in the International Drive Area, Hire Car to the Cruise port to drop off. Sounds simply? Lets hope so.
Hi Thanks for this I can't find one way options as we are staying in the orlando area after goport hotel and ship transfer seems to automatically include return to airport, which I definitely don't want to do. I want to pick up a car at the port to continue my vacation.
What if you are driving to the port from Miami? I’m a newbie at going to a different port. I know....I’ve been spoiled. We just take an Uber or Lyft from our house to the port.
Hi Dee, thanks for watching. Port Canaveral is unique among Florida cruise ports in that the distance from the cruise port to the closet airports is quite substantial. For Port Miami, there are of course the options of parking at the pier, off-site parking, shuttle services and a new option is to take the Brightline train service that runs from West Palm Beach to Downtown Miami. They offer packages that include Lyft service from station to ship and back.
Are there packages for early stay at the Disney hotel properties? What is the number of buses for early return to the MCO airport? Using a rental car what is the address for the new Terminal 3 for the Carnival Mardi Gras? and. rate for parking a vehicle at the Port Carnival..
Hi Garland, thanks for watching. Go Port Canaveral does not offer packages that include onsite Disney properties. Buses back to Orlando Airport are quire frequent, in fact you'll see more than one picking up guests at the port at one time. Still plenty of time before Terminal 3 is finished construction, so it may be a little early to know the address.
If you are coming to Orlando and going to Port Canaveral but taking amtrak not flying, would it still be possible to do a snooze cruise. I could get myself to the hotel but I would need transportation to the port the next day.
Hi Michelle, thanks for watching. You could get the Snooze & Cruise package but the return transportation after the cruise will be to the airport. You could then l then take your own transportation to the Amtrak station which is around 13 miles.
Thank you so much for this video. We will be cruising Jun 2022 and this is the service we were looking for. There were more lower cost options to stay near the airport for the snooze 1 day prior to sailing than staying near the cruise port. I'll vlog my experience and let you know how it went. New sub from our channel to yours. Cheers!
Hi TIFF & DRE TV, thanks for watching. There are definitely several companies in the cruise passenger transportation business in Port Canaveral. I have to say that after spending several days with GoPort, experiencing the services they provide and interacting with their employees in their local offices as well as on the ground at the airport and cruise port, GoPort is a top notch, well run company.
Hi Midnight Ninja, thanks for watching. That must have included a hotel stay, because their round trip Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral is around $50 pp.
Thank you for this video is very helpful. My husband and I are flying out the day before and are using GoPort. We are staying at a hotel near the airport . Our scheduled pickup time the day of cruise is 10:30am. Do they pick up other cruisers? I believe it takes about an hour to get to the port. They should get us there in plenty of time? It’s our first cruise so lots to learn. Thank you 🌴☀️😀
Hi Michelle, thanks for watching. Yes, the GoPort shuttle will make stops at other area hotels (unless yours is the last pickup location), before proceeding to Port Canaveral. Not sure which cruise line you are using, but if you received a designated port arrival time from them, it's best to coordinate that with GoPort so you arrival within your window.
@@TalkingCruise thank you so much for your response. We will be sailing on the Carnival Mardi Gras. I’m going to contact GoPort and see if they can give me estimate time of arrival to port. This helps a lot thank you very much have a blessed day
Hi julieb7882, thanks for watching. I've tried the alternatives, and it's not just about the price, the service and overall experience is also much better with Go Port.
So for my cruise in March, Royal Caribbean booked me on a red-eye flight from the West Coast to Florida, with about 5 hours or so between landing and boarding the ship. Upon arrival by air, I'm supposed to meet a RC representative who will take me to a shuttle which will take me to the ship that day. In your video, you recommend flying in the day before and booking a hotel. Do you foresee a problem? Admittedly, I booked my cruise less than 3 months prior to disembarkation, so my options were limited. Plus I've never done a cruise before. Anyway, I guess I will find out when I get there. Hopefully I will have enough time to make it to the ship.
Hi Scott, while the schedule may be tight, the good news is that since you purchased your air through Royal Caribbean, they would likely hold the ship for you in case of minor delays. That's a benefit of booking air with the cruise line, the downside is they tend to have some of the worst air schedules even if you booked way in advance.
@@TalkingCruise Thanks for the input. I will make sure to keep a close watch on the flight itinerary in the days before takeoff, and then be in contact with RC if the flight schedule changes. Hopefully it will be fine. But it's good advice for when I book my next cruise. Next time I will plan further in advance.
Speaking of food, I've been checking out videos on here that show what Royal Caribbean's Windjammer buffet has to offer. Looks like common cafeteria fare, which is incredibly disappointing. I know they have specialty dining options, but I don't want to eat at a formal sit-down restaurant every evening, nor do I want burgers and fries. Surely they can do better than this. I'm a big seafood fanatic, and it doesn't look like they offer any seafood at all, unless you eat at one of their specialty restaurants. I'm guessing they want to keep most people out of the buffet?
IT'S A FREAKING JOKE!!! How come no other public transportation is available to take you to the port? They claim to be 2nd largest cruise port in the world. We are family of 6. This guy is telling me to spend $180 (6x$30) for 40 mins ride!! We have booked the cruise and pp it comes to $250. And I have to spend 3/4 of that amount on getting to the cruise. What a load of trash!!
Hi Sam, thanks for watching. There really isn't easy or inexpensive public transportation from Orlando to Port Canaveral. I think if you look at alternatives like cruise line transfers, other shuttle services or parking at the port, you'll find what GoPort offers is reasonable.
Hi Vicki, thanks for watching. I appreciate your comments, please know that I have also used the services of our sponsor. If they weren't good, I would not promote the on my channel. I've received sponsorship requests from several companies that I've turned down.
Sorry, but waiting for a bus to load load 45 people and then circling the terminals while dropping is NOT the best way to the cruise terminals. Then more waiting on the return. This is purely a commercial for one company.
Hi GentlemanJim, thanks for watching. I spent two days with Go Port Canaveral and I never saw too much waiting. In fact, I was amazed how many busses they had running between Orlando and Port Canaveral and between terminals.
If you choose to rent a car at Orlando airport, please pre-pay for gas. That's because the closest gas stations price gouge like nothing you have seen before. I can't say how I really feel about them because I would be banned from RUclips.
Have you cruised from Port Canaveral? Tell us in the comments.

Yes I was on the Disney Dream and Magic, and next in March 30, I'm going on the Carnival Breeze

Glad to hear you had a great experience with us Jozetta! We love hearing from happy cruisers like you. 😁
We are here now it's cheaper to book your own airport hotel with shuttle. Go back to airport then have go port take you to and from the port.
Hi TigerMotionPictures, thanks for watching. I guess it being cheaper could depend on the specific hotel and dates, but I think many people (especially first timers) would prefer to get everything bundled.
This is a great video! Please make more like this good work!
Hi Kesha, thanks for watching. Appreciate the comments.

Hi Paul, thanks for watching. Yes, it's not too difficult, but the packages from Go Port Canaveral may cost less and provide you with more benefits.
They were paid to say it was the best. I would like an unpaid opinion, that's why I clicked on this.
Hi Thanks for this I can't find one way options as we are staying in the orlando area after goport hotel and ship transfer seems to automatically include return to airport, which I definitely don't want to do. I want to pick up a car at the port to continue my vacation.
Hi sherrjo, thanks for watching. Reach out to Go Port, they may be able to offer an alternative solution for you.
great video...can you do similar videos for the other Florida cruise ports please?
Hi mcfirebug, thanks for watching. We plan to do these videos for other ports.

Did you book with go port canaveral Fernando??
Thanks Chris!! Great info!

Go port is also expensive. $199 roundtrip while Uber was$70
Hi Midnight Ninja, thanks for watching. That must have included a hotel stay, because their round trip Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral is around $50 pp.
@@TalkingCruise ok so they also charge per person.

We're choosing complicated. The price is about the same with 4 in our group.
Hi julieb7882, thanks for watching. I've tried the alternatives, and it's not just about the price, the service and overall experience is also much better with Go Port.
Yes if all we want to do is check into an airport hotel and be chauffeured to the port. We want to do some exploring.
