At first I thought it was really bonkers putting them together, and like Hollyoaks just had to make almost all the gays date each other at some point, and because they had hated each other so much in the past and been involved in cheating( John Paul cheated on James with Ste and Ste on Harry, and Harry cheated on Ste with James) and they are a lot different, but that just shows how much they could forgive, also with the far right group Ste was involved with. They have things in common like ex partners, rough childhoods, and done some bad things, even though most people in the series have. And now it seems to work, even though I still have to get used to it somehow.

Ste didn’t leave JP for Harry., Ste left JP for Sinead, then Ste left Sinead for Harry. JP and Ste had a pact to give their relationship another go in Dec and Ste agreed, to try again ,but JP did the right thing and broke it off before it started so Ste could be with Harry.

Then, later on Ste began a relationship with Sinead and then cheated on her with Harry. Ste and John Paul had a pact that there could be a chance that they could start again if at that moment in time they would both be under the arch etc. Which wasn't going to happen because Ste was with Harry and John Paul was engaged to James. Then on the night of their official divorce they slept together. At that point John Paul asked Ste to leave Harry and be with him. Amy made Ste realize that Harry was amazing with his kids and that he was always there for him and that their love was real etc. etc. so he proposed to him choosing him over John Paul. John Paul, now alone without Ste and without James left.
Do Owen Warner and Greg Finnegan have a beef between them because they never share scenes together. It’s weird they litterally are father and son but never in the same room. James is either with Juliet, John Paul or Ste and Romeo with the McQueens.
