That being said, I have mentioned on various European channels supporting UA which I follow that it is important in 2025 to bring more of the pure US Mil channels on YT to interviews with channels such as yours. The reason being that in the US, there are many channels which are mainly followed by "guys who like military stuff" and may not be fully aware of the situation in Ukraine. Glad you had Jake on the show. Been following him since the war began and watched every video he's done (first thing i do with my coffee in the morning). Jake has integrity and i havn't seen him lower his commitment to helping ukraine once. He has done a couple very succesful fundraises and always gives a very good analysis of what is going on. He instills us all with a realitycheck, day in and day out, so that we never forget what is at stake! Would love to see him back again soon, as he has a ton of opinions of what is happening in the conflict.

I try to apply my knowledge and experience as a retired professor of anthropology for the better, and in particular I think that I have something valuable to offer when it comes to improving understanding about nuclear weapons. Two essays I've written on the topic: "What are Nuclear Weapons Good for?" and "Revisiting Fears of Putin's Nukes," both available for free on my Substack.
If the issue is about maintaining democracy and the separation of powers, you should have voted from across the aisle, assuming your normally a Republican. Somethings are more important than day to day politics. Folk who don’t vote shouldn’t paise or critique Government, because having knowingly abandoned the democratic process.

Every one needs to stop using the term, “meat grinder”, “cannon fodder”,”meat assault “…….etc. use correct terminology not euphemisms. Forced one way assault. In WW2 the soviets would give every third man a rifle, the other got a clip of ammunition. Instruction: when the guy with rifle goes down, pick it up load it and fire. I know EXACTLY what Ukraine fights for. In 1980 I traveled to what was then West Berlin, cut in half by communism. To get there I chose to drive through what was then East Germany, a communist-controlled satellite state, much as Pooty is trying with Ukraine. We were driving from Belgium and it had been a very enjoyable trip to that point. NOW PLEASE PAY ATTENTION. As soon as we crossed Checkpoint Bravo and entered East Germany a black cloud filled the sky, blocking all sunshine and warmth, with a faint cold breeze like a groaning moan. Nothing had actually physically changed mind you; the sun still shone, a gentle breeze blew the grain in the fields with farms in the distance. But.... Mentally.....emotionally... If 'oppression' were tangible, like water, we found ourselves immersed in oppressiveness, like the deep end of a pool. I looked at my wife and quietly asked her, "Do you feel that?" She was staring straight ahead. Slowly she turned and whispered, "Yes." The rest of the drive was silent. As soon as we crossed Checkpoint Charlie and entered West Berlin it disappeared. I know EXACTLY what Ukraine fights for. Before this happened, the idea of being in Europe 'defending freedom' was a concept. A good concept, but a concept none the less. Afterwards, it was REAL. If my being in Belgium stopped that oppressiveness from my home.....IT WAS WORTH IT. I know EXACTLY what Ukraine fights for.
The world doesn't need Russia. If Russia disintegrates the oil and agriculture will actually become available. The regions will want to become part of the international community, just like they did in 1991.
I'm pretty sure Putin's past the point of no return with his people, so it's a lost cause to try and negotiate for a good outcome for Ukraine. He will want to keep much of the territory he's already taken. If there's going to be any negotiating, it will have to be with the Ukrainian Government to see if they are up to losing any territory. Putin is in a corner. I hope Ukraine stands strong with the full backing of NATO. He would just regroup his forces and effort capabilities.

You have no idea how intentionally easy it is to circumvent sanctions if you are a US company. Unless you fall under ITAR, it's as easy as having someone separate from your company, establish a new import/export company, and be the middleman. If that person is caught, it doesn't impact the source company because they, all the paperwork looked good. They checked all the boxes on the form. Not our fault, not our liability! And it happens and not just in sanctions but other areas as well. A Swift executive was busted for having a company of drivers all running off of a single shared CDL. Swift itself was found to have no liability despite being the only customer for this company ran by one of their own executives. I think this was about 12 years ago. Regulatory frameworks in this country deliberately permit legal liability to be borne solely by a separate entity. It takes something like designating a foreign country as a state sponsor of terrorism for US sanctions to really be effective. But our rules allow the US to much more easily punish companies from other countries who violate our sanctions.
If Russia’s economy slips future, Putin might need to send bots and propagandists to the front. Facing a missile or weaponised drone is more scary than facing a keyboard.

I know EXACTLY what Ukraine fights for. In 1980 I traveled to what was then West Berlin, cut in half by communism. To get there I chose to drive through what was then East Germany, a communist-controlled satellite state, much as Pooty is trying with Ukraine. We were driving from Belgium and it had been a very enjoyable trip to that point. NOW PLEASE PAY ATTENTION.
As soon as we crossed Checkpoint Bravo and entered East Germany a black cloud filled the sky, blocking all sunshine and warmth, with a faint cold breeze like a groaning moan. She was staring straight ahead. Slowly she turned and whispered, "Yes." The rest of the drive was silent.

I'm pretty sure Putin's past the point of no return with his people, so it's a lost cause to try and negotiate for a good outcome for Ukraine. He will want to keep much of the territory he's already taken. If there's going to be any negotiating, it will have to be with the Ukrainian Government to see if they are up to losing any territory. Putin is in a corner. I hope Ukraine stands strong with the full backing of NATO. He would just regroup his forces and effort capabilities.

You have no idea how intentionally easy it is to circumvent sanctions if you are a US company. Unless you fall under ITAR, it's as easy as having someone separate from your company, establish a new import/export company, and be the middleman. If that person is caught, it doesn't impact the source company because they, all the paperwork looked good. They checked all the boxes on the form. Not our fault, not our liability! And it happens and not just in sanctions but other areas as well. A Swift executive was busted for having a company of drivers all running off of a single shared CDL. Swift itself was found to have no liability despite being the only customer for this company ran by one of their own executives. I think this was about 12 years ago. Regulatory frameworks in this country deliberately permit legal liability to be borne solely by a separate entity. It takes something like designating a foreign country as a state sponsor of terrorism for US sanctions to really be effective. But our rules allow the US to much more easily punish companies from other countries who violate our sanctions.
