12 old me thinking i have the best guitar tone of all time
You probably did!
Bro i confirm
14 years old dont even having electric guitar
16 yo me doesn't having enough money on guitar
This is so relatable
The "no gain" sounded A LOT like the current Metallica tone they've had since Death Magnetic! 😭
Less gain = more metal in this age I guess 😢
clean tones >>>>>
@@WoockerSocket2 It actually equals a much tighter sound. More gain can sound cool but if it's poorly mixed it just sounds like a mess, now Metallica can get away with this since James is so tight with his playing but clearly he prefers the low gain sound especially in multitracking. I honestly agree with it too, it's a lot easier to layer up a low gain mix than hi gain and goes much better with the low end of a bass guitar.

0:13 this is exactly how my guitar sounds like playing that solo😂😂😂
It also sounds like the demo version so don't feel too bad
Lmfao same
Not only does the demo sounded like that but pretty much all Metallica’s LIVE gigs before the Justice tour. Even makes my ears bleed sometimes, not sure if it’s James or Kirk playing out of tune. And it’s suppose to by their prime
wait is max mids, high treble, bass at like 6-ish, and tone all the way up a bad tone? i love how it sounds (this is coming from a massive nirvana fan)

Max treble on Seek and Destroy honestly would make for a good "intro" tone, if it transitioned back into a more full and heavy sound, in a Blood and Thunder kinda way!
Outro when
I can imagine that working pretty well too, if that tone was done using some parameter automation that they could dial off when the rest of the track fully dropped.
...I am 22 years old and still use high gain and bass. I don't care loved it at 16, love it now, definitely use it tastefully, definitely not insecure rn

Long time ago me and my brother Kyle here,
We was hitchhiking down a long and lonesome road.
All of a sudden,
There shined a shiny demon,
In the middle of the road,
And he said!
Play the best song in the world, or I'll eat your souls...
Well me and Kyle,

Not gonna lie. Max bass was awesome. Sometimes you don’t have a bass player. Do what you gotta do.

All jokes aside, you have really impressive accuracy.
This gives me flash backs to when I got that exact player kit from epiphone. My first electric guitar and amp lol

Lmao, me too, except the amp was a reverb amp without a knob to adjust it. It was terrible
I remember when this video first came out I had no idea what any of the songs were other than Master of Puppets and now I know all of them lol
It all means nothing if you still don't know any vyper syren songs 😪
The Max tone is the one that my cheap amp do 😭
literally, it called me out.
Max mids is just your average punk tone
I'm not average
we got the same guitar, its an epiphone special II right?
Yup
The lack of reverb really seals it
as soon as i got an amp my settings were as follow
gain: immediately at MAX ,i hadn't even heard the sound yet
bass: 3 oclock
mids: 9 oclock
treble: MAX
reverb: MAX
it made me happy AF anyway and that's what matters
Those are Buddy Guy's favorite bassman settings.
Dude the memories of when I was literally 14 - 30 years ago 😂😂
So accurate - liked, subbed, commented my man
That's the way to go! Appreciate it!
Had that exact same guitar once. What makes it even funnier is that this guitar is part of a packaged deal with epiphone that come with an amp and chord. Generally they're not the best, and this makes it more genuine as it's like the 12 year old is just starting out. Attention to detail.
Which song is Max bass???
Mad.max main theme
Stop attacking my guitar tone from when i was growing up. Hahaha very accurate especially the treble at max. I think my worst sound was max bass max treble max tone 0 mids on my 15 watt starter amp. To fix my sound my grandparents got me a DanElectro Fab Tone for this super biting trebly distortion, but it was a lifesaver to actually get decent overdrive as a teenager. This was in the days before RUclips so there were no guides on how to get a great tone or what were the best pedals to buy. Different times. Thanks for your video for the fun trip down memory lane.
Even with all the info nowadays people still have " bad tone " , or is it just the keyboard warriors? 🤣
My tone was really bad back then, now it's slightly better , still don't really know what I'm doing either 😋

Today I have 3 sets on my Zoom G1Xon plus my 1x10 Onner Twenty,Dual Rectifier : Drive around 50-70, Bass 20-30, Middle 30-40, Treble 60-80 and Presence 40-100,with compression, tube screamer, delay to leads and pitch shifter in the copies of this
Bogner Ecstasy is probably the same,if not the Bass is around 40 to 60 and I use a eq before to boost the mids
Mark III bass, middle, treble and presence is basically the same, but I dont use tube screamer or compression because I have two parametric eqs on rhythm, and one for lead, just to emulate a little bit the graph eq of Mark series
My clean tones: Bogner have a lot of ambience,so pitch shifter (Eb to Bb) eq,delay, particle reverb and compression,no amp btw, and for Mark III,Pitch Shifter (in E I use to emulate a 12 strings and Eb to A in the copies),Acoustic sim (full effect),chorus, delay and reverb
Is very John Petrucci inspired, except for Bogner I was inspired by Juninho Afram (Brazillian guitarist) and Steve Vai to build this set
That's pretty much it,and my amp is just a cabinet for me,clean channel, the eq is always flat,I just adust the gain and volume and sounds beautiful hihihi
The first one honestly sounds like iron maiden on their debut album

more gain makes you sound grander, but if aren't playing by yourself then turn that down a bit. I also realize now how horrible I sounded because I cranked it up almost to the max. Now it sits about at 6.5/10 for my amp.

0:17 is almost a legitimate dialing of the Kill 'Em tone. Just a bit more boosting, gain and bass. lml
And if the tone for Blackened was a bit more engineered (Not even using IR's, but there's the Flemming Rasmussen notes on both MOP and AJFA, and copying the exact same settings in similar gear, both VST's and analog, will lead you extremely close to the Justice tone, which i take the risk of saying it is the best engineered guitar tone to have ever existed, not kidding.
