If your car has power steering, don't hold the wheel at full lock while doing a donut. You could over pressurize the hydraulic components and cause them to blow which will make you have a bad time.
shane marz I mean his face is right there it’s very noticeable? Am I supposed to just look to the side of my computer and avoid eye contact? I don’t even think it’s considered “eye contact” over looking at someone’s single eyeball in a VIDEO. Why are you talking ? YIU ARE A VIRGIN THAT IS SCARED OF ME.
Wow. I have been watchig your videos for a while now, but this is an OG how to video lol. The audio, your enthusiasm, and obviously your cars are so much better now. Cool to see how you have grown
When being in 1st gear when you donut is not good for your gear box (not that it is good anyways). To do a donut the proper way so you don't ruin your gear box is to: First, put it in 1st gear. Then start to drive. Second, put it in 2nd gear. Then third, dump your clutch (if you don't have 400hp). btw: love your vids! And keep up the good teaching stuff!
Finally gonna be doin the driving portion of Drivers Ed and am greatly considering spinning a donut I either pass like a normal person or fail and go down a legend, and that second option is very tempting 🤭
that violent vibration at 1:07 is a result of you turning in too much and causing the tires to under-steer, if you want to do a proper donut and not just give it gas and spin out, get going to like 20kmh while in second then slowly turn in while increasing throttle just enough to start the over-steer then counter-steer and feather the throttle to maintain. No idea why you called this video how to do a donut (drift) because thats exactly what this isnt.
Please if you can do show also how the movement of the vehicle from the outside in your videos otherwise thumbs up guys really love how informative your videos are. 👍
Is there much of a difference between an open diff and an lsd when it comes to donuts? I got a '97 528i standard trans, but when I tried it, it feels like a lot of under-steer.
Tyler Claytor Fill your tank, check your fluids, check your tire pressure, look over your car. Take your ass to a big open parking lot (preferably away from normal police routes) and spend the day getting to know your car's handling capabilities. If you lose control, there's no way you can fuck up. Start off slow and work your way up. I'm not saying push your car to it's limits, because then you can be spending money buying tires, brakes, or worse, engines and transmissions. But if you don't have a piece of shit, chances are, it can take a bit of abuse. Instinct along with knowledge of your car will help you in actual cases regarding losing control. Don't be scared, be aware.
I'm sorry but you forgot to mention that many cars don't have LSD so they need to start driving while steering wheel is pointed STRAIGHT, then spin it a bit to the opposite one side then fully to the other side. Simply, it looks like this: (clockwise donut)- slowly accelerate, when about 30km/h jack a BIT steering wheel to the LEFT, then fully to the RIGHT with full throttle. By doing this, car will loose rear grip fully and you won't get "one spinning wheel"
If no lsd u should put it in reverse reverse it for few feet then smash it in first gear both wheel should lock spins correct me if I'm wrong, this is for rwd with no lsd doin donut.
Very helpful and timely video! My papa is going to get a new car next week! And since he’s out of the country he instructed me to get it out of the shop for him before he returns back home. Now I can try it out on a brand new car! I’m excited. I have my own car but it’s an old model which was my papa’s old car given to me. 14 years old. I do not wish to doughnut in it since I am very careful pushing my OWN car too hard. But in a new car it’s ok due to it’s durability as a new car. Please do not tell papa.Haha.😁👍 ( he got too mad at me once before when I did a burnout with his car tires he nearly “ killed “ me! ) 😆
Hi I am thinking of getting a M5 e39 in Sweden. What should i look out for? (heard something about vanos, and that 99 models drink oil and so on) So should i get one from 00 and up or what do you suggest? Would appreciate all info that can help me before getting an M5. So i can have some knowledge. Awesome channel by the way, i love your m5 videos, makes me smile every time you upload one! /Irre :)
+Siby Samuel when your ass end starts to come out, you want to turn your front wheels to where they would normally be while driving. practice in a wet empty parking lot. NEVER try it on the road.
I have an automatic car with semi manual transmission, should I use the handle brake to drift? or just put the car in first gear and turn the steering wheel and it will work?
If it is a pre-2013 Escape, DO NOT do it. If it is a 2013 or higher Escape, it's most likely safe. I only say that because of the body change of the Escape in 2013.
Pro-tip: if you're an absolute beginner, do this on a nice open snow covered parking lot for maximum ease. Even better, try it in someone else's car. 😜
Wish my driver's ed instructor would teach us this!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣right....uhhh no mayb not im actually glad lots of us krazy people dont know how to donut
Lmao it's illegal but ya me too

Wish i red this yesterday ...
Today i broke hydraulic pump on clk 350.. so be cearful guys
Ouch... That must be a costly repair for a merc.
yeah my first time doing a donut was on my 2012 camaro locked the wheel in place and had to replace my p.s. pumpaviator158
Melodyman you deserve it then. helps to know your car first.

Dude sick car

I'm curious as well, how'd it go?
Here's the donuts you promised your GF in a 68 GT CS! ruclips.net/video/2mXZfj5iEUA/видео.html

Donuts are not good for the car anyway and it dosent matter if you do it in 1st or 3rd gear...
unless the driving surface is slippery, most street cars will NOT be able to do a rolling burnout in third gear. no way
***** is your car obscenely high-powered? Lol
that explains it ;)
learning how to do donuts and realizing your at my high school.
👍🏽
Missed the most important part, the car spec needed for donuts. Rear wheel driver is essential.
Your ride is an E39 M5 correct? Sick ride and good video!
Correct and thank you!

the only person I trust for things like this.
whenever I do a donut or I drift, I do it on a wet surface, so I don't damage my wheels too much
That was badass bro. I saw how you were holding that big smile.
Please if you can do show also how the movement of the vehicle from the outside in your videos otherwise thumbs up guys really love how informative your videos are. 👍
instructions not clear enough, i bought an automatic
Cristian Moura you guys are killing me😂
Your poor sad person. Your best bet for a donut is a visit to a bakery.
hahaha XD
E brake
Just turn all the way. And slam the gas. Continue to counter steer to keep going
"today im gonna teach you how to do a donut
-takes out dough and starts baking" lol
Lmao yooo! I was thinking “yo where do I know this guy from” then I realize you made the vid that helped me learn how to drive.

I absolutely found this video useful
North Campus FTW. Best place to drive fast without getting in trouble.
Parker use to be so skinny
Yeah...Doesn't work with a FWD...
Are you serious? You really can't drift in a FWD, I only ask if you are serious because people say this seriously.
well, you kinda can with macdonalds trays under your back tires.
Yeah...I didn't do that. I just turned the wheel and floored it.
That One Petrol Head
well then you understeer
It's a FWD.
Would like to see you do a video on the Mercedes-Benz W208 CLK55 AMG.

i like your profile pic

Nice video! You should do a video on a reverse 180 turn.
The worst feeling is not having control of your vehicle. This is why I'm scared to do any of these things

1st gear pedal to the metal and has anyone ever heard of redline in cars? at what rpm should one let of because I'm not about to blow up my engine.
Try a quick shift into 2 gear and then you can drive it from the back wheels.
ommg loll😂😂😂 i think the cop already eat the donut before we get to see it
You should review The Ram 1500 2013 or 14

Sounds like you needed lsd service your driver side tire seemed like it hoped quite a bit before it engaged?
Thanks bro, really helpful

am i learning how to donut a car with alexander gould?
You forgot clutch kicking and hand brake checks
Ouch. What was that noise at 1:06 when you did the donut?
Don Hicham oops my bad. I meant 1:06
Edgar Mendez understear
I got a 1990 Chevy c1500 454 with 7.4 liters🤤I can’t wait to do this in side shows👺
This is so great and educational😂😂
Nice T shirt and pretty eyebrows. Come back when you can do a figure 8
Do you leave it in 1st gear the whole time?
You look like Alexander Gould in season 7 of weeds.
My Hyundai Coupe siii is a front wheel with no ESP button :/ I don't think I can do this. Someone please tell me different...
Err... no B-roll of car from outside of car?How do I know this worked from just one perspective inside the care?
It would have been good to add that you need to counter steer. I can see you doing it but others might not know.
How much do u counter steer and when ? Will I know when ?
I actually learned how to do a doughnut in real life from gran turismo 6
I did this in Mercedes and I messed up my bumper, I think it was because the ground was on a very uneven level almost like a hill I guess
Wait, manuals have traction control? Sorry, I'm used to driving older vehicles.
I'm in the process of going to buy a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo you think you can review this vehicle
You should review the Lamborghini veno
Watch the video with no sound, but with subtitles.
So funny what it ends up saying!
And having back wheel drive is also a good thing.
What cars are good at making donuts and burnouts? Something less than $5k ?
Can you make another video showing the gear stick, clutch and gas?
Just high rev then let go of clutch
Yessss!! Please do an Acura MDX please
Please learn to quick shift to second, you can lay rubber all day. My e36 m3 lays rubber through second every time and it's n/a and has 275 wheels.
Again kid you forgot to mention on your video an important thing:
You need a RWD car.
slabiciune how about awd?
Outing a seat belt on is the first thin you do when you get in a car lol
why not clutch kick? it looks more sick when you do it
Instructions:
1. Turn wheel all the way
2. Floor it
Is that Shane? From weeds?
Skyline high school parking lot home of massive amounts of tire marks lol
While drifting, when do you know to turn the wheel back?
+Siby Samuel practice.

Still possible in an auto if you have the sport shift mode. Better in a manual though!
Instructions not clear enough i flipped my car over. Not really but it can happen.
Just one question. Is this only good to do with cars instead of lets say a ford escape xlt? Is it possible to roll your car?
If it is a pre-2013 Escape, DO NOT do it. If it is a 2013 or higher Escape, it's most likely safe. I only say that because of the body change of the Escape in 2013.
Ah ok thanks for saving my life 😂 it's a 2007 model
How do you do a donut on a Hyundai Tucson All wheel drive and or front wheel drive vehicle?
Can you do a review on a Chevy Camaro pls
this might be a dumb question, but like RPM wise am i going to be redlining it? if i am do i go to 2nd?
Instructions not clear enough. I ended up over the ditch
What about an all wheel drive Honda CR-V?
Good Video Bruv!
The only donuts l know are the ones that I eat.
I tried doing a doughnut but i realized im under age... yup.
Why don't you just buy a donut 🍩.
Nice sound quality
