Because we are nearing the end of the One Piece series, there is just so many battles that we have yet to see in such little amount of time involving Sabo, Dragon, Akainu, Gorosei, Imu, Blackbeard, Shanks, Mihawk, Zoro, Xebec, and possibly Joyboy and Ryuma. Either some of these battles has to be fought off script with a determined victor or a lot of these characters have to team up and unify against a common enemy (Sabo/Dragon vs Akainu/Gorosei or Luffy/Blackbeard/ vs Imu) as examples.

I think Roger pirates didn’t get to see what is one piece. They just saw some instructions they need to fulfill. And that's they are doing from the beginning of the story. Like Roger didn’t need to die. But he submitted himself to the marines. And got executed just so the next generation can be more inspired. They probably saw their own stories and instructions what to do next. That's why they laughed. They worked so hard but fortune wasn’t in their favour. And the treasure they found wasn’t for them. I have a theory that the celestial dragons descended from another planet and that's why they were originally considered gods, with Imu possibly being a high up in their ranks already back before they came to the OP earth. The cds wear astronaut like suits which I think may hint this as well. Im thinking that the old CDs were conquerors in space with a similar mindset to their current. There could be a backstory where Imu faced countless wars before descending on OP planet, where it's explained how all that he values is freedom through force - because he grew up in a world in constant war where stability and freedom was only ever achieved by destroying those who threaten you. Would parallell him with Luffy in how both wants peace and freedom but in completely different ways.

This kind of reminds me of Naruto lore with Asura and indra. One took their path slowly, helping people along the way. Building strength and discipline through the bonds they made. The other just skipped all that tender care , and went straight for power. Luffy went to sky island, he went to all these other places instead of straight rushing to power and taking shortcuts. Blackbeard didn’t help anyone in his crew. He just got his devil fruit and started assembling a crew of people he has no attachment to, just wants them for their strength. As far as we know. This is great team up but what i don't like is maybe that we have seen this in Naruto where Naruto and Sasuke fight kaguya together and then went on to fight each other . It'll feel almost same if luffy and BB team up .

I think if Imu embodies cowardice then they’ll actually try to fight with weapons as much as possible. We know they probably fight via the gorosei as proxies anyway and even tho Imu can attack with that arrow / devil tail, that was vs a crippled dying Cobra. And once again to Sabo but only when he turned around to run away. Whereas Luffy is one of the only characters to not use a weapon, in fact actually preferring straight hands. Didn’t even wanna use haki until he was absolutely forced to, much like his grandpa. I could see Imu dragging out the fight or avoiding direct close quarters combat against luffy for as long as possible
I think Luffy will do most of the fighting against Akainu. Too much animosity built up for that not to happen. But either Akainu will see the error of his ways through the fight or if not, I see Dragon finishing him off while Luffy heads deeper into Marie Joise
The reason I think Imu is a woman is based off something Oda said, he writes fathers to be strong but has said the strongest people are mothers, that’s is the only reason. Of course I wouldn’t be mad if I was wrong
I’m not mad at this theory at all since the “D” clan good or bad is an enemy of IMU. So I wouldn’t be surprised if luffy and Blackbeard teamed up since the members of the “D” clan are fated to work together. But if this team up doesn’t happen I can see ODA going the classic route of just having IMU merge or corrupt Blackbeard to his bidding since their powers of darkness seems to be similar and luffy basically has to fight a IMU/Blackbeard final villain.
If this did happen and I am not so sure, Blackbeard would just turn on Luffy after they won the fight and now Luffy would have to whoop on Blackbeard to finish the story so we are back to square one and your theory does not change a thing.

Aokiji knows them well ins and outs cause admirals work directly under them that’s why Garp didn’t fold for that role. Aokiji’s master/trainer and Shiryu being an invincible man has to help with heist activity. Not to mention Lafeet or the magic guy on his crew who snuck into the meeting easily way way back. Who was tryna tell them to put BB as a warlord when Luffy was getting them warlords replaced cause they was losing to him.
Joyboy is said to be the user of the ancient weapons, if luffy is joyboy and has Franky, shirohoshi, vivi he has control of most of them. If Imu has control over one what if Imu was to be persuaded by joyboy and his ability to attract others to support him to help against Blackbeard in a final saga
Something that doesn’t make sense, is why the imu didn’t send stronger enemies from the WG to actually kill luffy, only until he fought kaido did they have a cp0 member sacrifice himself to get luffy killed, on top of that luffy dying was the thing that awakened him to nika form so things are a little weird. Either they didn’t know he would transform after death or they did and it is all part of the plan. I believe they want joy boy to return in the modern era because they have everything set up to actually kill joy boy this time around once and for all.

I like the idea, but I really don’t see Oda ending the series by Luffy working with this guy who had a hand in Ace’s death to take down the king of the world. It already to me seems to me like it’d be a HUGE letdown if Luffy didn’t take down the final villain on his own. To this point he’s won every fight with little external help so having the final battle be a team up just doesn’t make sense. Not to mention it wouldn’t feel like Luffy won if he was beat Imu while working with someone else. I respect the idea but it doesn’t feel like a way Oda would end a series all about overcoming your own limits to reach your dreams.
I don’t want Blackbeard to be redeemed. But in the end luffy and blackbeard are foils and both pirates. I just think he could be the final villain even after Imu
@@MARSHALLDPREACH I honestly doubt it. One lesson I learned from shanks is to never trust Blackbeard. Blackbeard was created to be the greatest obstical in luffys journey to BECOME pirate king. Even the strawhats each have specific walls to overcome in the form of the Blackbeard pirates. IMU and the WG aren’t even THAT strong at the end of the day, they just got numbers. If you follow the pattern from Skypeia and dressrosa, the final arc is already been explained. 1 gorosei is going to be taken out early, one gorosei is going to be a traitor. That leaves us with 3 gorosei. Zoro takes on one Gorosei, the resistance leader takes out another(dragon), the 3rd can be taken out by anyone tbh. That allows Luffy to take a straight B Line to IMU, of course he will be accompanied, but luffy always fights 1v1s. The only time I can see there being an exception is Luffy teaming up with Koby to take out Blackbeard himself, mirroring God Valley. Edit: before you mention anything about kaido… keep in mind there was 2 yonko on that roof. It was a Group battle from the start. Sure ppl stepped in and protected luffy when he was hurt, but for the most part they just let luffy 1v1 kiado whenever he was able to stand. Even Yamato mentioned that luffy likes to fight on his own.
5 Admirals, 5 elders, 7 Seraphims, holy knighs plus all armory of Marines and WG, plus IMU is not a joke at all !! I really believe if the 5 admirals together go all out with holding back they are super difficult to deal !!!

I do think Imu is a woman, and the Gorosri are her children. All having the Enternal Youth surgery performed on them. I think Imu fell in love with Joyboy, but Joyboy was either interested in another, or put duty (the world) over her. And so this is all a story of a lovers spite. If Imu can't have Joyboy because of the world, then she will take the world away from Joyboy.
I have a personal theory Blackbeard is the final boss. Since him & luffy have history. But after they defeat Im, the two have one last battle on top of the ruins of the old world government
No. Blackbeard & Luffy will never team up. Given Blackbeard’s duplicitous nature & penchant for planning ahead, aside from his ambition; it is more likely that he teams up with Imu to wipe out the pirates that are against the World Government, then betrays & kills Imu to take over the World Government thus setting the stage for a final showdown with Luffy. That would be a more logical & in-character path for someone like Blackbeard.
Luffy is the new world rising Imu is the establishment resisting They are both order: the new and the old. Blackbeard is absolute chaos, the absence of order. I would enjoy BB showing up at the end, after Luffy has defeated IMU, to claim control of the world as he has inherited Rocks D. Xebes' will.
Luffy and Blackbeard both want to be the Pirate King. Just that while the "King" part is the most important for BB its the "Pirate" part that means more to Luffy.
I think imu is some kind of devil or eaten devil devil fruit model lucifer or something like that. I mean he/she could be devil king and 5 elders can be minions. I am saying this because manga writers love to show fight between gods and devils. Luffy ate human human fruit model god. And devil or demons are the most probable opponent against both human and god. And on the other hand we saw various types of fictional races in one piece. Even in early episode there was a filler arc showing dragon. We have seen giants, oni, fishman, angles(people of skypea), various demihuman(smile fruit). But we haven’t seen any devils yet. And as the protagonist is a god. I think as a antagonist Imu most probably will be a devil. And he/she will be the final piece of the devil fruit puzzle.
I agree with Blackbeard taking Imu's DF and taking the Celestial Dragons as hostages. But i am thinking of the flow of the story from now. What match ups other characters in fighting. There are 3 Admirals, 9 Holy Knights, 5 Elders and Imu. There are 10 captains in BB Pirates, 9 Strawhats so far. 3 main fighters in Cross Guild. 10 Red hair pirates. 7 revolutionary army. BB can also fight Red Hair Pirates, they match the number of fighters. But I want Shanks to battle Figarland so they are fighting the Holy Knights. Cross Guild seems don't want to fight but i think defending themselves against the Admirals will be a good match up. Finally, Revolutionaries will fight 5 elders and Imu (7vs6, Imu vs Dragon and Sabo). And, Blackbeard vs Strawhats for the finale. With this match ups, i think of plots to make this happen. Lets reverse engineer: BB vs SH, they might fight due to Dragon or Sabo hurt or being hostage. While the great war might break due to some extent of Imu's plan damaging the world, so the Red Hair Pirates and Revolutionary Army might attack Marijoise. Before that, Imu might order the Marines to attack Cross Guild (maybe they realized something against the Marines or may have caused a havoc due to their Marine Hunting - of course that will just flee, Buggy can't fight. During fleeing, they continued their journey to Laugh Tale and might be the first to get there.

I think Roger pirates didn’t get to see what is one piece. They just saw some instructions they need to fulfill. And that's they are doing from the beginning of the story. Like Roger didn’t need to die. But he submitted himself to the marines. And got executed just so the next generation can be more inspired. They probably saw their own stories and instructions what to do next. That's why they laughed. They worked so hard but fortune wasn’t in their favour. And the treasure they found wasn’t for them. They probably wasn’t able to know what that was. That's why Roger said they were too early.

I have a theory that the celestial dragons descended from another planet and that's why they were originally considered gods, with Imu possibly being a high up in their ranks already back before they came to the OP earth. The cds wear astronaut like suits which I think may hint this as well. Im thinking that the old CDs were conquerors in space with a similar mindset to their current. There could be a backstory where Imu faced countless wars before descending on OP planet, where it's explained how all that he values is freedom through force - because he grew up in a world in constant war where stability and freedom was only ever achieved by destroying those who threaten you. Would parallell him with Luffy in how both wants peace and freedom but in completely different ways.
Well, when clover shows robin the world as it is, there's actually 7 moons around the planet, but we actually see just one, but thinking now, Oda's never said the other 6 where moons, maybe they where planets, there's a theory of jormungund, and the fish that dorry and broggy cutted, it was an fish that could eat a whole island, and then they said "the only thing Giants can't cut is the snake that circles the world", clear reference to jormungund, so it's not wrong to think maybe is possible that the other moons where actually planets, and jormungund ate them, so they took refuge on earth, also probably, earth was only water therefore - all blue, where the merman species lived.
This kind of reminds me of Naruto lore with Asura and indra. One took their path slowly, helping people along the way. Building strength and discipline through the bonds they made. The other just skipped all that tender care , and went straight for power.

I think if Imu embodies cowardice then they’ll actually try to fight with weapons as much as possible. We know they probably fight via the gorosei as proxies anyway and even tho Imu can attack with that arrow / devil tail, that was vs a crippled dying Cobra. And once again to Sabo but only when he turned around to run away. Whereas Luffy is one of the only characters to not use a weapon, in fact actually preferring straight hands. Didn’t even wanna use haki until he was absolutely forced to, much like his grandpa. I could see Imu dragging out the fight or avoiding direct close quarters combat against luffy for as long as possible

I think Luffy will do most of the fighting against Akainu. Too much animosity built up for that not to happen. But either Akainu will see the error of his ways through the fight or if not, I see Dragon finishing him off while Luffy heads deeper into Marie Joise

I’m not mad at this theory at all since the “D” clan good or bad is an enemy of IMU. So I wouldn’t be surprised if luffy and Blackbeard teamed up since the members of the “D” clan are fated to work together. But if this team up doesn’t happen I can see ODA going the classic route of just having IMU merge or corrupt Blackbeard to his bidding since their powers of darkness seems to be similar and luffy basically has to fight a IMU/Blackbeard final villain.
If this did happen and I am not so sure, Blackbeard would just turn on Luffy after they won the fight and now Luffy would have to whoop on Blackbeard to finish the story so we are back to square one and your theory does not change a thing.

Something that doesn’t make sense, is why the imu didn’t send stronger enemies from the WG to actually kill luffy, only until he fought kaido did they have a cp0 member sacrifice himself to get luffy killed, on top of that luffy dying was the thing that awakened him to nika form so things are a little weird. Either they didn’t know he would transform after death or they did and it is all part of the plan. I believe they want joy boy to return in the modern era because they have everything set up to actually kill joy boy this time around once and for all.

I like the idea, but I really don’t see Oda ending the series by Luffy working with this guy who had a hand in Ace’s death to take down the king of the world. It already to me seems to me like it’d be a HUGE letdown if Luffy didn’t take down the final villain on his own. To this point he’s won every fight with little external help so having the final battle be a team up just doesn’t make sense. Not to mention it wouldn’t feel like Luffy won if he was beat Imu while working with someone else. I respect the idea but it doesn’t feel like a way Oda would end a series all about overcoming your own limits to reach your dreams.

@@MARSHALLDPREACH I honestly doubt it. One lesson I learned from shanks is to never trust Blackbeard. Blackbeard was created to be the greatest obstical in luffys journey to BECOME pirate king. Even the strawhats each have specific walls to overcome in the form of the Blackbeard pirates. IMU and the WG aren’t even THAT strong at the end of the day, they just got numbers. If you follow the pattern from Skypeia and dressrosa, the final arc is already been explained. 1 gorosei is going to be taken out early, one gorosei is going to be a traitor. That leaves us with 3 gorosei. Zoro takes on one Gorosei, the resistance leader takes out another(dragon), the 3rd can be taken out by anyone tbh. That allows Luffy to take a straight B Line to IMU, of course he will be accompanied, but luffy always fights 1v1s. The only time I can see there being an exception is Luffy teaming up with Koby to take out Blackbeard himself, mirroring God Valley.
Edit: before you mention anything about kaido… keep in mind there was 2 yonko on that roof. It was a Group battle from the start. Sure ppl stepped in and protected luffy when he was hurt, but for the most part they just let luffy 1v1 kiado whenever he was able to stand. Even Yamato mentioned that luffy likes to fight on his own.
5 Admirals, 5 elders, 7 Seraphims, holy knighs plus all armory of Marines and WG, plus IMU is not a joke at all !!

I do think Imu is a woman, and the Gorosri are her children. All having the Enternal Youth surgery performed on them. I think Imu fell in love with Joyboy, but Joyboy was either interested in another, or put duty (the world) over her. And so this is all a story of a lovers spite. If Imu can't have Joyboy because of the world, then she will take the world away from Joyboy.

Blackbeard is the final boss. Since him & luffy have history. But after they defeat Im, the two have one last battle on top of the ruins of the old world government
No. Blackbeard & Luffy will never team up. Given Blackbeard’s duplicitous nature & penchant for planning ahead, aside from his ambition; it is more likely that he teams up with Imu to wipe out the pirates that are against the World Government, then betrays & kills Imu to take over the World Government thus setting the stage for a final showdown with Luffy. That would be a more logical & in-character path for someone like Blackbeard.

I think imu is some kind of devil or eaten devil devil fruit model lucifer or something like that. I mean he/she could be devil king and 5 elders can be minions. I am saying this because manga writers love to show fight between gods and devils. Luffy ate human human fruit model god. And devil or demons are the most probable opponent against both human and god. And on the other hand we saw various types of fictional races in one piece. Even in early episode there was a filler arc showing dragon. We have seen giants, oni, fishman, angles(people of skypea), various demihuman(smile fruit). But we haven’t seen any devils yet. And as the protagonist is a god. I think as a antagonist Imu most probably will be a devil. And he/she will be the final piece of the devil fruit puzzle.

I agree with Blackbeard taking Imu's DF and taking the Celestial Dragons as hostages. But i am thinking of the flow of the story from now. What match ups other characters in fighting. There are 3 Admirals, 9 Holy Knights, 5 Elders and Imu. There are 10 captains in BB Pirates, 9 Strawhats so far. 3 main fighters in Cross Guild. 10 Red hair pirates. 7 revolutionary army.
BB can also fight Red Hair Pirates, they match the number of fighters. But I want Shanks to battle Figarland so they are fighting the Holy Knights. Cross Guild seems don't want to fight but i think defending themselves against the Admirals will be a good match up. Finally, Revolutionaries will fight 5 elders and Imu (7vs6, Imu vs Dragon and Sabo). And, Blackbeard vs Strawhats for the finale.
With this match ups, i think of plots to make this happen. Lets reverse engineer: BB vs SH, they might fight due to Dragon or Sabo hurt or being hostage. While the great war might break due to some extent of Imu's plan damaging the world, so the Red Hair Pirates and Revolutionary Army might attack Marijoise. Before that, Imu might order the Marines to attack Cross Guild (maybe they realized something against the Marines or may have caused a havoc due to their Marine Hunting - of course that will just flee, Buggy can't fight. During fleeing, they continued their journey to Laugh Tale and might be the first to get there.
