This is why he's the GOAT, its not about slams number's or who's the longest #1 in ranking, he did 2 things Rafa and Novak couldn't he put tennis on a world wide map, and innovated tennis to his own style that people love to watch.

In all these years I've never seen the last shot, full grip spin to get topspin and the angle on the backhand. Outrageous. Magic man. We so easily forget just how special and uniquely talented Roger was. Thanks always Raz!

That last shop was so cheeky. Very deceptive as he was holding a continental grip and then right as he hit it he pronated his wrist underneath the ball. Incredible improvisation.

2:10 notice how roger doesn't immediately focus on the lobbed ball but rather, at his opponent's movement direction first, only then turning back and making an incredible passing tweener shot

Yes, the only player that needs subtitles to fully appreciate and understand the outstanding level. Forever goat.
The last shot belongs to Lucifer, out of this world. Thank for the subtitles, didn't notice before.
Against Roddick: Slam to slam after bounce was another Lucifer moment. There wasn't even a room in this compilation! I think that was level 4
For me the third Lucifer moment is against Andre Agassi lob while running back. I don't have a definition for that because I still cannot figure out how a human wrist could do that. I cannot even tell what happened there... Maybe Level 6 or off the charts.
And every expert knows that the Neo-Federer was unstoppable with even an improved backhand! I mean how can you improve a divine thing??? Yes, even the ball machines couldn't stop him. And the only thing that could stop him made him a human being: the knees.
Roger isn't only the ultimate player but a tennis warping genius, the one and only goat

I'd never seen that last one before (amazing, as were all of them), but for me, the craziest one was the half volley drop shot at 1:09. That is a shot where there is movement from him coming in, the opponent was threatening, the ball was short and dipping, there was incoming spin, and as if it wasnt enough to hit the drop shot, he ALSO controlled the racket face to deliver spin AND fade to the side at the same time. I know there were a LOT of great shots here, bit this one was just mastery for me.

If you listed all the weird and wonderful shots that have ever been played in tennis, then compiled the video of the best example of each one, I swear at least half the video would be Federer. There's at least 2-3 he'd win by default as I don't think anyone else has ever hit them.

Those shots while great did not make of Federer what he was. Shots like those we see time and time from other players.
But Federer was what he was because he played great in other “not so great” plays too.
