Very nice and it's in Paris. The underfloor storage is very Japanese but they should have gone the next step and had an opening in the floor with a table over it and seating all around.
Kristen! you should go to Taiwan, seems like there are also lots amazing small space design. I love love all your videos, and i certainly love love how you tell stories.!
The first thing I thought about the bench-mattress in the ground was what happens when someone falls asleep and the plank falls down. That would leave a mark. I think the use and flow of space for the size is effective. It might not be pretty but it is highly functional. Thanks for the video! Another slice of a calm tranquil space in the busy and bustling streets of Paris.
If they had reversed the opening of the floor hatch in front of the mattress, they could have had a sofa where their legs could hang down. Also, the hatch opening away from the sofa space could allow for a flat TV screen to be mounted on the hatch backing, which could be unveiled when brought up, ideal if they needed a bigger monitor to work from or just want some time out in front of the tube. Still I liked the idea, a nice use of otherwise underused space.
All in all, nice conversion. Foam bed in floor seems to block whiteboard, so a wall flip down bed , or pop up bed might be better for sitting. OSB is garbage - real plywood is better. I suggest bamboo flooring over that pressed camel dung. Good job on desk and bookshelf and raised floor. Very honest clean space, except the wood floor. Maybe a carpet. So much space under - maybe hydraulic pop up unit with storage rather than diving into holes. Sex dungeon below with whips and chains, just for variety. Or at least sleeping sub loft.
6:53 if I am not mistaken that is a lead sheathed roof, not that uncommon in European cities. Lead was actually considered the best roofing material in terms of work-ability and waterproofing for centuries, however today its known negative aspects have removed it from the building materials list. Neat little conversion, especially the raised floor.
The should have installed the trapdoors in front of the couch to open the opposite way, so that they can put their legs inside the hole under the trapdoor when they sit there.
I love the exterior rooftop courtyard/garden and location of the office but as for the actual office itself I think the chip board flooring is ugly and the space is rather bland.
I was bothered by the the amount of "actually" in this video as well. It's actually 17 actuallys in only 7 minutes of video peaking at 6 apm (actuallys per minute) 0:27 1:05 1:21 1:28 1:39 2:09 2:20 2:27 2:37 2:43 3:14 3:32 3:51 3:57 4:03 5:53 6:05
2:04 pretty girl...I lived in Istres France for a few months. Driving through town on my way home from work I would always see some of the most beautiful women. I really loved being there and would return at a moments notice if the opportunity arose.
Too close area what happens when someone fart ahhhhh evacuation all kingdom have been lost grab only your papers men , why ? smells like someone will neeeeeeeed it lol
Kirsten you're funny. Is that you huffing and puffing @ 1:22. Haha! Love your ALL of your videos!
That's pretty cool man. Nice space... functional.
I "actually," enjoyed this video, and actually like their ideas, and use of space. i think the OSB is safe actually, once sealed with oil.
Very nice and it's in Paris.

That is super efficient! I really enjoy your videos. I'm always adding to my master plan haha.

@John Fenman.
Lmao 👍😀
floor couch is cool I think some padding on the back would have been dope but hey to each there own.
I love your videos!
Love the space. Great idea
How very resourceful and creative. (Critics everywhere huh.)
That's a really great use of space.
1:41 The subtitler misspelled metre. "meter" is the act of measuring. "metre" is the unit of measurement.
That is very cool, and chip board
If you buy indoor, has no chemical
Additives. love that outdoor ability.

Intern wins best seating location.
Nice working space during summer, but I wonder what the winters are like. How do they heat?
Seems small enough for a space heater...and big comfy sweaters.
If they padded the inside of the sofa lid, they,d have had a padded backrest, too.
I bet they could make it two stories. It's obvious that space isn't too much of a concern so two 7 foot floors could be even better.
It looks pretty efficient. I would be concerned with the roof though.
I love this!

What do they design, vases?
that's awesome!
why isn't anybody using cork as a material?
Cork tiles are expensive.
You should have called that one rub a dub dub three men in a tub.:-) great video.
It's awesome! Is a great idea! ;)

nice but i think they could have used the concrete floor and stairs more creatively
the window was there for when doing repairs and maintenance i should imagine
Mini bureau sur les toits de paris
hmmmm would expect designers to do a bit better job regarding aesthetics its functional yes but not very inspiring...
Nice concept, but decor could be a little better.
Gooooood !!!!!!

If he said "actually" one more time...
I imagine all his sentences in French start with "En fait".
The floor is terrible, and as an addition to it all, i would install solar panels on the roof for the lighting and keeping laptops charged
heavy breathing walking up those stairs.......you gotta do some more cardio
She is carrying a very large camera in a upright position. Not easy.
@@irisireneful Excuses, excuses... ;)
I am sorry that design was horrible. The flooring material was ugly and will just have a dirty look to it. No design concept was used here.
Great idea for 5 guys, but had to chuckle when I thought about it being 5 women. That would 'never' work! ;)
