Hello there my friends! Currently I find myself in pretty remote location, with very little internet access (in fact, it took me nearly 4 hours to upload this video!). Therefore, sorry for unanswered comments! All of your questions will be covered in upcoming Q and A video; if you are curious about anything, don't hesitate to ask! You can drop your questions either in English, Spanish or my native Lithuanian and each will be answered it that language (with English subtitles, when needed). If you really (I mean REALLY) like this content, please consider following me on my Patreon; special members will receive additional content each and every month. Or, if you want to help out some forever broke gringo from some faraway land in North Eastern Europe, you can always buy me a coffee :) Both links are in the description :) By the way, I just noticed that there are some of you supporting me on each platform already and it completely blew my mind. I mean, for the first time in my life I managed to generate some income doing something that I genuinely love to do and that is one amazing feeling :) Thank you for your support! Greetings from the Amazon!

Yes, this is the best channel on RUclips. Period. (Edit: OK, I realized I had to amend this comment; this is tied for first with another channel: the original "Primitive Technology" channel is a great one also.)
Thank you so much! I mean, I really work pretty hard to make these videos last few months (occasional lack of electricity + humidity affecting the gear does not help...), therefore it is really rewarding to see that I'm finding the right audience! Thanks! :)
@@ichthyosapiens940in my little opinion the reward isn't money or subscriptions,,it his journey in life..many of us have squandered our time and now we're old..
Hey Don. Yuca/Madioca/Macaxeira/Aipin This root has several names, all depends where you are in Brasil. The flower is very good to make diferents products. Included the Pao de queijo ( cheese bread ) is made with that flower. Tapioca also very popular in Br. is made with the Yuca flower. and its original from the Amazonia. The native indigenous people make alcoholic drink with too. I enjoying you videos very much. Tks
Thank you so much! Yeah, ain't gonna lie, I'm really putting some work to get these videos going these days... 😅Therefore, thanks for support! Greetings from Brazil
Very interesting video with some insight into the socio-cultural dimension of the area. Challenging dynamics it seems in the local communities around indigenous identity, interfacing with government, development and local leadership.
Wow, that's some description right there! Really push myself pretty hard to make some decent upload these days, very happy to see some people digging this stuff :) Greetings from the Amazon! :)
Cheers from Mendoza, Argentina! A friend of mine from here is living in Ceu do Mapiá, a religious (Daime) ayahuasca drinking community living in the middle of the Amazon.. might be interesting..
Hey there! I've been to Mendoza about 4 years ago :) Beautiful city, gorgeous surrounding areas. Regarding the community: later I'll check where it is :) However, there are many ayahuasca communities throughout the region; me myself I did it in Bolivia some years ago, looking forward to repeat it in some time. Greetings from Brazil :)
Another great video. Liked the info about producing mandioca. Well, I didn't know it was mandioca, until you explained cassava was yuca, which my wife grew up calling mandioca in Sao Paulo. But I guess there are a lot of different names for cassava all over the different areas of Brasil. I think this was my favorite video so far; I'll always like the videos about small communities and what the people are like and what they care about and what their lives are like.
Hey there! Yeah, I've been looking forward to explore communities of the inner Brazilian Amazon for a while now and it all worked out thanks to Mr. Albert. Yuca, cassava, manioc - many names, same plant of massive importance. Greetings from the Amazon! And thanks for watching :)
Sir, the plant that named casava in Brazil Amazon are called tapioca here in Borneo. Since we here are tropical rainforest too so no doubt in one way or another we have the the same plant.Thank you for bringing us around.
Hey there! Well, in Brazil the name 'tapioca' is used for the starch that is extracted from the tubers of the cassava plant :) It is definitively the same plant, cassava is being harvested all throughout tropical parts of the world, in fact largest producer worldwide is Nigeria. Greetings from the Amazon! :)
18:17 You're right. The Amazon diet is composed basically of Manioc, fish and Açaí. Manioc is consumed by many, many ways. You were very lucky to learn the process of making "Farinha" with Manioc. I am glad you had this experience! Interesting fact, there is always an internal fight in Brazil to claim who was the most ancient tribe that domesticaded Manioc. Some paleontologists say its origin is from Rondônia (close to bolivia), other say it is from Roraima (close to Venezuela). One thing I know, the Yanomamis are the most known tribe to explore Manioc in ways you can not imagine. They can even produce Wine from Manioc. Yanomamis live in the states of Amazonas, Roraima and also in Venezuela. Best luck to you, dude!

Hey there, try to share my stuff on other platforms, however these days I find myself in such remote locations that I'm very happy just to be able to upload these videos... 😅 Massive thanks for support and greetings from the Amazon! :)
I myself prefer RUclips, but there are a lot of eyeballs on TikTok and Instagram. You might be interested to learn that Lithuanian retains most of the grammatical complexity of Europe’s primary ancestor language, Proto-Indo-European and, in that regard, resembles the ancient Sanskrit language. Other European languages descended from Proto-Indo-European have simplified their grammars to varying degrees.
Hey there! I'm still around these communities (in fact, I'm writing this message from the local center of indigenous matters 😅) and, yeah, I'm learning a lot these days. Really glad you like these little videos I'm making :) Greetings from Brazil.
a little advice to improve your channel when you try to cover something don't apply high pitch noise as you did in this video,it is incredibly annoying it is beyond my understanding why it became favorite sound for so many use squrel sound,it is cute,or anything else less annoying and you cold not miss, even police siren is less annoying love your videos, wish you to reach monetization threshold soon
