We might be at a point where, unless Greenteck leaves the battle scene for a while, people wont event acknowledge what insane level he consistently brings to every battle.
but thats the thing, the events will just go on no matter the 'level' people bring. if it makes money then it doesn't matter. it doesn't matter about the dance anymore or exposure for these amazing dancers. unfortunately.

The Greenteck and Sonya battle does resemble to me when Franky Dee tied a few times with another dancer and ended up just gesturing that his opponent won and walked off stage
Metal seeing the beauty in the execution of simplicity.
Sportsmanship at its finest, the G.O.A.T. felt like his opponent earned the win so he forfeit. Sonya should have battled in the final, Green stepped out so she could; it wasn't a sympathetic gesture, no superciliousness involved. To put it in more simpler terms, Green was just keeping it real.
Green has mentioned quite a few times over the past year that he generally refuses most invitations to events now. So this definitely isn't a sudden development in regards to battles. Dude just chilling and doing his own thing now.
Been a fan of the dude since 2014 and not going to lie, given his attitude now It wouldn't surprise me if he stopped battling and moved onto teaching full time.
It looks like he enjoys teaching more actually any clips you see of him teaching classes I think he has reached a point in his career where he enjoys passing on information and giving to other aspiring dancers so they can experience the journey of dance the way he did coming up
He makes his music too.
Good stuff Metal. Was waiting for your reaction on Greenteck's battles. Sonya was crazy too, I can see why part of Greenteck thought she won through those gestures even though apparently he wasn't fuckin with Iron Mike's judging and saying he just left and didn't "lose" on Instagram.
Greenteck is a real guy no matter what a battle attitude says or other hive minded dancers or keyboard warriors. Proving day in and day out that u r not the bad seed bc the seeds r at the top and everyone who follows those tolerable and unhealthy mental conditionings and it’s just like what u said that there needs to be an open dialogue conversation but between pioneers and ppl who intend on keeping popping still popping with all the hype and excitement but keeping it out of the organizations hands to make 💴 or dynamics for an organization that has nothing to do with dancing. Not enough time to type here but I get it. No matter how big ur name is, no matter how high u r in the world, you know bs when u see it and u r human and morals and standards mean a lot
Whatever happened to otis funkemeyer this guys is the continuation of it. Greenteck is done. Scene will move on. If he doesnt go to events no more so be it. This will make him more legendary. The fact that he wont battle anymore. The more time passes. The more newer generations will feel curious to meet him. New poppers will travel to canada to meet him. He will be like poppin taco or bigger. Its like movies. Greenteck was very well liked the good guy then we hated him the bad guy. Now hes a renegade.

Greenteck has been my favourite dancer for over ten years but I feel like he should leave the dance battle scene. He never seems happy or inspired - it feels like he's going through the motions. His popping is perfect but low energy and not very creative. Back in the day, he was bursting with creativity and you never knew what you were going to get - now it's pretty predictable. That's not a slight to his skills - in my eyes, he's the best popper alive but I don't enjoy watching him anymore. It's a shame if he does leave the scene but at least I can rewatch old videos, rather than see him destroy his legacy. He should be on top of the world right now but he has burned so many bridges and it's just bad vibes when he's at a battle. There's nothing worse than watching someone who clearly hates what they're doing. He needs to stand on it now and stop entering battles.

I don't think that battle will be enjoyable. Green dislikes MT Pop and the judges are more likely to vote for MT as he's eye candy and more likeable. I don't think Green will take it seriously either.
