I get so excited and proud when I see our black women excelling in their craft and/or their God-given gifts and talents. It seems that every race of people are against us Black women. They are against what we do; how we look, how we move; against our struggles and sacrifices to attain our accomplishments in this life; but yet they still try to emulate us and take what we worked so hard for… for their own gain. But Why would we want to do that to one another on purpose? SMH… it seems like we are against each other like everybody else is..
I know Ms Blake created the knotted locs and Ms Ali tweaked it how she saw fit. To me it would be the same and wrong if someone took Ms Ali’s family hair products and tweaked it by adding a drop or two of lavender oil and calling it their family’s product. I’m a senior citizen and I just feel sad for us sometimes. We are going backwards. We must communicate better in love and stop doing things underhanded and shady.

I am so saddened and upset by the way this played out! I have watched you in the bushes for a couple of years and loved your content and had even considered trying knotted locs because of your content. I enjoyed seeing you and Ms. Blake working together and doing content on your channel educating about her knotted locs method! The way you have turned this around and have started trying to teach this yourself and cut her out of her own brand is appalling! I am literally feeling sick and traumatized by this behavior because it just shows how when we as a people start to trust and try to help one another that more times than not we are BETRAYED and mistreated by the very same people! And then to name the program Righteous anything is just insanity to me! SMH This is the very reason that we as a community and people can’t come together and grow and elevate! It is shameful and disgusting! Anyone who supports this is also condoning this behavior! It is not right! Ms. Blake from the beginning had let it be known that she wants her method to be for DIYers. She wants to have a one on one relationship with her clients. Just like with the Sister locks brand. She should be able to run her brand the way she envisioned it without having to worry about people trying to steal her idea. If other people have a problem with her vision then it is not for you try something else. But to try and steal her method and try to pass it off as your own is just wrong on all levels!

Speaking as someone who has sisterlocks and re-ties her own hair. I did not take the “approved” sisterlocks course. I hopped online and learned from various RUclipsrs and from trial and error.
Tunisia did not steal from Melissa Blake, she’s sharing knowledge. Melissa is claiming she is the only one who can teach you how to put a knot in your loc.
You can find so many forms of locing your hair that is similar to sisterlocks but are not claiming to be sisterlocks.
Sis, I think people especially BW love drama and scandal. They haven’t even listened to T’s video, yet listened and believed the toxic garbage MB is spewing out. It’s awful, especially considering there’s enough room in this space for everyone. Knotted locs were created by our ancestors not MB. She can control information about her unique tips and techniques only but she can’t police what other people learn or teach themselves about knotting hair nor can she tell people not share their own unique experiences with others.♥️

After deliberate investigation on behalf of my Sister Tunisia. I can say i that fully support her on her expertise on the Knotted loc method that she has made her own. Melissa Blakes has made claims that Tunisia is a thief and is not qualified to teach anything regarding hair or knotted locs. Which is not true at all. The proof is in the evidence look at my beautiful sister's hair! It is long, thick and healthy. So she clearly is doing something right. Period.
Regardless of the fact that Tunisia learned this method from Melissa from observation thru video because she is in the UK.
This method is Not Patented to only be used by Melissa.
This goes for any type of loc or braiding style. There are hundreds of thousands of women that teach the same type of techniques alllll the time!! That is way things goes.
There is enough space and energy to go around. You go where the teaching and energy resonates.
Keep doing what feels right for YOU.
I know for a fact that my Sis did tell Melissa that she was going to do consults on knotted locs, and she was fine with that until ppl started to come into her ear. Now she feeling a type of way.
No need to slander Tunisia's name or the hard work that she has put into her hair and her products that have helped so many ppl actually Grow their hair back.

Yes she started with sisterlocs. Most of her hair is sisterlocs. If you do knotted locs from the beginning it won't look pretty and smooth like that. It will be bumpy in appearance. Note well.

There are two sides to a story. I don't know exactly what went wrong with you and Melissa but I do like your channel and have much respect Melissa's brand. I hope that whatever feud is happening will stop and the sister hood between you two will be reestablished. "Can't we all just get along?"
