In 1920 my great grandmother Pearl Schwartz Kibrick and the four youngest children left Czernowitz for NYC. They left my great grandfather Jacob Kibrick behind for some unknown reason. We believe that he was born in 1855 and died in Czernowitz in 1929 or 1930. I wonder if his gravestone could be found?
I'm probably the 5t or the 6st generation from Czernowitz. Since when ukranians was living in Czernowitz or in North Bucovina? Even before WW1 ?.. they never been there...maybe the malorossen who spokes their own language mixed Russian with polish etc...
A wonderful video for a worthy cause. My grandfather is buried in the Chernivtsi cemetery.
Lovering the visuals!!
