Son... did you put another AIRSHIP in your Dungeons and Dragons campaign?! If you want to play a fantasy TTRPG with steampunk flavored modern transportation, you're more than welcome to do so... but don't call it Dnd!! Not when you're under our roof, do you understand? We are a LOW fantasy family, and your magic system is HARDLY consistent. Anything more fantastical than the Witcher series, and you're out on the street young man. Do you hear me?! How do you expect your players to suspend their disbelief when you hand their characters magic stones that basically function as an iPhones?! That's not world building, that's a reskin! Your mother is very upset, and the next time this happens again, you can kiss your 3rd party artificer class privilege's goodbye! You're lucky this family tolerates your fantasy Tony Stark BS.

Why do you think the friend in the photo isn't there?
He's grounded
He teaches English in Japan.
This episode kind of confused me. I first thought it was just satirizing the overly nice and easily impressed DND nerd types, but then I started to wonder if this whole episode was a tribute to a close friend of WWG who recently passed away, or perhaps just drifted out of the friend circle.
He became the dragon
His Discord really took off and now he needs to moderate full-time
Need more sketches where it genuinely feels like the joke is on me. Watched 6 minutes of cringe goofballs and in the end was reminded that they don’t care, they love each other, and they’re happy. I’m the fool. 10/10
Yeah exactly this, it was pleasantly humbling
lol nerd
The whole time I had this sense of unease, "When are these harmless goofs gonna have the joke put on them?," but then it never came. Instead just humanity
Agreed, this was a delight
Right? I cant believe how long it took me to stop cringing and enjoy this.
I’m almost glad there wasn’t a punchline - these characters deserve to be happy

The joy I felt when I realized that this was going to be a wholesome sketch of just some friends hanging out. 10/10 I was grinning the entire time.
This is such a good reminder that by judging people as "cringe" we will run the risk of missing out on genuine human connection, enthusiasm, excitement, friendship.
Of course there is such a thing as unacceptable social behaviour, but cringe culture is drawing that circle way too narrow and it is a loss for all involved all too often.
Y'all mfs acting like cringe culture is a thing just because it's a fad to say cringe it's what's really cringe here
I judge people as cringe because they make me physically uncomfortable by being painful awkward. It's a preference just like any other, and I for one would happily remain alone than be a part of a group like this
@@orpheus9282Stay miserable then, I suppose. Then you'll wonder later why you don't have any close and meaningful relationships because you judge people based on small tiny things. Loosen up and be more genuine. Things will be a lot better, trust me.
@@TwixtheFox My position is that I'd be miserable if I forced myself to be around people I don't like. You assert that I'm miserable or confused by choosing to be alone based on absolutely nothing

yes . yes it is cringe
Is it truly cringe if everyone around absolutely loves it and each other? Or is that ... heaven?
Forget the realm of cringe and based - embrace what makes you happy, and if it must be called cringe, then be cringe forever

I was not prepared for that ending. This was so much like my group, and we lost a friend. i regret not playing more with that group because now i can't. My friend's steam profile pic is still just how he left it, a portrait of his DnD character. Miss you buddy
The entire time I was sitting like "this is not even close to what my dnd sessions look like, this is a bit too goofy" and then when he re-read his speech and it panned to the empty chair I started to tear up. I lost my best friend (and best player) 3 years ago and that just really hit home for me.
Yeah, it hit me hard too. Really well done. Sending hugs your way :(
“Bug wise, my snug status is RUG” 😆😆
This is still one of my favorite lines 😂
"My snug status is rug" is something I'm unironically gonna use when I'm going away with my friends next weekend!
I’ve watched it a couple of times and it really has me thinking. I played yugioh back in the day with a bunch of guys that had no other community except each other. I was raised in a well adjusted home and had several different groups of friends. The guys I played yugioh with only had each other, and sometimes I found myself cringing at a joke or their excitement at something random or small. It wasn’t until later I realized how judgmental I was considering that most of those guys only ever had each other, and to them this community was a safe place to explore life and create social interactions. I was lucky to have a couple different groups of close friends, but they have all stayed together. That is part of what makes dnd (or any fandom that gathers together) so special: real relationships, real people, and tangible memories.
Damn man.
I'm so glad those guys had each other and you got to be there for it. ❤
I internally cringe constantly with people I like. I think it's fine because if they ever asked about it, I'd tell them I wouldn't change a thing about them because I don't know how to put together a person who makes me feel as safe and appreciated as them, and I know I used to act the same way they do before abuse destroyed my ability to be like that. It feels like I'm an old man watching kids play in the street outside, reminiscing on the days when he used to be able to run around and get into shenanigans, before his body broke down into a miserable cluster of pain and damage. But with my friends, they still let me hang out. I can still be there with them. They still make me feel like I'm running. I would dismantle someone's body if they made my friends as damaged as me. That innocence is fragile and these people managed to keep it thriving in them. That feeling of cringe gives me life. It's the shadow of my childhood giggling with joy that these beautiful creatures still accept me as one of their own and didn't abandon me like so many other good things have.
Don't deny your feelings. Interpret them better.
@@notablediscomfort.......thank you for sharing, wow. I.. uh. I've actually screenshotted your comment to reflect on it more later. I've been feeling that way around people I care about and never thought of it that way. Thank you, genuinely.
20/10, I seriously expected a brutal dunking to occur, or for something to go wrong, but instead it’s bros being bros, and loving each other. It hits me right in my softest bones
The only twist really was that one of their friends had died
His character fell into a pit with a gelatinous cube and was slowly and painfully digested. Since he had no character to go forward and his friends didn't want to start a new campaign they told him not to come over any more.
Yeah he'll be back next week with a new character that's just his previous character's twin

This was the most stressful video I've seen in awhile, I just kept waiting for the punchline and it never came. So wholesome it hurts
I know, I almost couldn't finish it; the level of cringe was literally stressful.
The punchline was like "you're a judgemental asshole for finding that all cringe".
Now I'm coiled on my couch covered in sushi unable to move due to cringe/guilt overload.
Even if this is super cringe it's also peak friendship goals. So much positivity.

This exactly what they were like.
No matter how cringy this is, it all seems like they're having fun, so i'm okay with it
I fucking lost it at “modern Leonardo DiCaprio”
The shot of the empty chair 🥺 I can’t imagine continuing a campaign after a friend in the party died
Or maybe the guy just wasn’t able to make it that session, which is still a tragedy in of itself
His character died after not obeying the “Dungeon Master”, so he was forced to die in real life. That’s what happens in D&D right?
@@gabrielsandstrom1899as a DM I can confirm this
@@gabrielsandstrom1899pretty sure
The camera pans to a photo of them all, and they also specifically say "those who have fallen," and also, he sounds really sad when he says that part specifically. It is seriously extremely saddening to imagine trying to keep up the high octane energy of a dnd campaign after someone dies, especially since the guy kinda looks like he was the youngest of the 6.
@@doubleaabattery7562 I feel like he just died in the game, and they're all really serious about it.
I didn't fully accept this was going to be a wholesome reflection of a group of genuine friends until they got to the over-the-top complements. We all totally hyped each other's drawings, accents, and speeches when we played DnD. Good times.
Such a wholesome group of guys....
Though the missing friend at the end feels like he died and everyone keeps a seat for him... which is also wholesome and quite relatable.
i should not be this emotional over "the lovers of men". a group of greasy cringey dnd nerds who not only accept their gay friend, they celebrate his gayness as something to fight for. this is the most wholesome thing i've ever seen

This is one of the best y’all have put out. The camaraderie between everyone was so on point to the glories nerdy times I had in middle/high school.
Such an Incredibly wholesome moment shared between friends and then the moment where it becomes bittersweet when everyone remembers there is someone missing.
And man, that zoom into the photo in end 😢
Sometimes you roll a 20, sometimes you roll a 1, sometimes the die hits the dungeon master and now everyone is waiting in the e.r for 2 hours.

I kept expecting this to get dark, I’m so glad it was so wholesome gave me the kind of relaxing lofi feels. Definitely sharing with my tabletop party
It did though.
1:34 "you are so gay" "I am" "you are" funniest part of the whole thing. Nothing weird in either direction. No fake voices or costumes, or obsession with sex (dragon punchline doesn't count to that).
I miss this period of my life. Miss those guys . To be cringe is to be free lol
I don't get why people make fun of others for acting like this. Just look at how cute they are!
Cringe is only cringe if you’re being a dick.
These are just dudes being bros. And its the best thing ever
I both hate and love that I said “holy guacamole” at the same time as the characters in the skit.
My little brothers and sisters have gotten into doodling a lot recently, and while they’ve always been artistic, they’ve started showing me their stuff a lot more so I can tell them what I like about it. I try to keep cursing to a minimum around them, so I always default to “holy guacamole” when they make something very cool and I wanna show my excitement for their drawings.
I didn’t even realize the Barbarian drawing was making me say “holy guacamole” until I heard the dudes in the video say it too, and I don’t know how to feel about it 😅.
