Bravo Mexico por tu inmensa Musica , cultura , cuna de talentos inagotables , el grande de Latinoamérica , los Oscars son tuyos cada año en cada momento brilla el nombre de México .
''The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers'' was clearly the best original score of the year. Actually, it might be the best score ever written. I find the Academy's move very hypocritical. Their new rule didn't make any sense. At least the winner was remarkable score worthy of recognition.
The scores for its predecessor and sequel won the Academy Award for Best Original Score, the soundtrack for The Two Towers was not nominated. Initially there was confusion over the score's eligibility due to a new rule applying to sequels, but the Academy did declare it eligible.
Renée Zellweger when she was still pretty: I miss her! :( Nice nominees (I liked Frida score, but I enjoyed the musics from Catch Me If You Can and especially Road to Perdition much more), but a lot of big missing, especially Howard Shore's The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Danny Elfman's Spider-Man and Joe Hisaishi's Spirited Away.
Im sorry, but how did the master Philip Glass not win? I respect the score for Frida but it has been years since both movies came out and the one that has been winning the test of time is the one for The Hours. I’m losing hope for the academy.
I adore Glass [he is probably the best living composer] but I know the reason he has not won. When one listens, to 1982's "Glassworks" [especially "Islands"], one realizes that "The Hours" soundtrack is not original at all (in spite of being absolutely a wonderful piece of music).
Happier days for Harvey Weinstein, who (at 2:06) looks quite content then, despite the fact that Elliot Goldenthal almost got into a fight with him some time earlier.
This man deserves more awards than any other composer, his genius is beyond comprehension.
It's a punish for do the "Batman & Robin" Soundtrack.
This film deserved so many more awards...
Well it was made by a terrible man sooo
@@ishaanwankhade4834 what? Julie Taymor made Frida.
@@DragonPrincessAoife no i meant harvey weinstein

I preferred "THE HOURS"...a memorable score.
THE HOURS SHOULDVE WONNN!! Best original score ever.

Howard shore won the Oscar for 2 of the 3 Lord of the rings films, what else do you want???

Also The Best Picture had to be The Pianist or The Two Towers.
I think Spirited Away also deserves a nomination for Best Score.
Frida has great music score.
He should’ve been nominated for Heat
Not one of these have the same power as Two Towers or Spirited Away. But of the nominees, I would probably say Far From Heaven is my favorite.
Attack of the Clones should've been nominated.
Renee is so beautiful.
Compared to a dog's face.
nymet2454 Her Voice & Pronunciation
Nice nominees, but where in the world was Joe Hisaishi's score for "SPIRITED AWAY"!?
Exactly.
International films don't get a lot of love... Hopefully Parasite will change that.
THE HOURS was Also Good

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But for me,
she is a real dog!
@@gatewayski1 haha so funny that in 2020 she is going to win another Oscar for her role as judy.
Come on! John Williams deserved that Oscar!
What a wonderful speech. Goldenthal's hip as fuck, musically and socially
Viva frida
It is beyond me why Spider-Man by Danny Elfman did not get nominated but instead, Big Fish got nominated. What the fuck...
Should have been The Two Towers! Didn't even get nominated!!
They may have disqualified it probably.
That was so sweet of him...I hoy a little emocional.
What is the music played during the nominees montage?
Damn I didn’t think he would so straight forward thanked Mexico
What is the music we hear, when the nominees are shown?
Alan Silvestri’s score for Lilo & Stitch should’ve at least been nominated
Where's Danny Elfman for Spider-Man?

Absolutely, one hundred percent with you on this. 20 years since The Hours and Frida. Which score has won the test of time? Clearly, The Hours.
@feuerstahl Disagree. It is still Philip Glass's own score and very much original
bien ganado ese oscar
THE HOURS GOT FUCKING ROBBED. PERIOD!!!!!
henman09 no, The hours was one of the worst movies
The Hours was a great film.
Daniel Marino-Austin it was considered one of the worst best picture nominees
Source? According to who?
I love Elliot Goldenthals' Music, but in my personal Opinion "Frida" is not among his best works. That Oscar should have gone to Elmer Bernstein.
The Hours was better than Far From Heaven
Me thinking Danny Elfman’s score for Spider-Man would be nominated😐
0:53 almost sounded like Mario Galaxy
catch me if you can and john williams >>
Ha what ever happened to Renée?
She's in the DOG HOUSE.

danny elfman with spider-man should have won
Thomas Newman gets robbed again
Well, that year five great scores were nominated... but the least good won.
I clarify I love 'Frida', but the opponents were far superior.
Philip glass deserved it more
Awkward seeing Harvey Weinstein in any footage now
It was much better The hours. 😑
Zellweger has no eyes
Philip Glass was robbed.
Harvey... 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
Insomnia, Adaptation and The Pianist should have been nominated instead of Catch Me If You Can, The Hours and Road To Perdition
What? If anything, Road to Perdition or Catch me if you can should have won!
What is the music we hear, when the nominees are shown?
i want to know it for years now 😥
