The Torsen is a good differential but not the same as a locker. It slips quite a bit even with brake modulation. Running the much larger 42" tire I didn't want to have to worry about spinning the tires up and working the brake to give me the kind of traction that would allow slow controlled crawling. The locker is just a more efficient option and selectable for street driving and off road use.
Great video. Thank you for sharing your experience, obstacles and successes with others.
Thanks for the tips. About to swap my seals too when parts come in.
Hey i’ve seen all your videos …very nice… so it’s been five years do you still have your Hmmwv??
What's the advantage of having an air Locker when the Humvee already come with a Torsen differential?

@@LSXHumvee nice! Thanks!
Did you install the ARB? any video?
Hi friend, do you know? I changed my final gear so it is lighter. But why do you hear a rough voice from my axle. What do you think is wrong?
How do you like the new lockers?
Other than just testing them out I haven't had a chance to get into the woods to try them. I'll post a video update of locked vs unlocked when I do.
@@LSXHumvee have you had a chance to test it out in the woods?
Press on bearings are usually pretty tight.. bro..
Put seal in freezer before install
Sounds like you should have taken it back to the shop for a refund lol
What locker did you use
ARB Air Lockers
