    Decent Sampler! A very pleasant surprise to see it here. Even more pleasant is seeing such a solid low-tuned guitar library. I really appreciate that its actually designed to be properly double-tracked!

    First of all, this is incredible piece of engineering. I'm absolute 0 in music production. Downloaded Logic Pro literally two days ago. And my first question was: how do I make a decent sounding guitar riff (again, I'm not a musician). Three days ago before I even decided to try writing music, I came across Chris Bedan's channel. And he used this AXURE GMP. Of course I bought it and I'm not disappointed. The only thing, it would be incredible if you could include some of these riffs from the video to play around, since my knowledge is only starting to shape it would be very helpful.

    Man this sounds great! How would one go about making a standard 7 string tuning? Just play around with the Tune function I saw? And is it possible to change the automation keys to be in lower octaves?

    • @studysoundaudio
      @studysoundaudio  5 дней назад

      @@VasileiosEmmanouilGrammenos Thanks! The library goes all the way down to C0 so you won’t have any issues with tunings. You can mess with the tune knob but be careful not to go further than 12 semitones away.

      Pretty sure Axure made the competitors rush release in order to be able to get some clients that would be interested in Axure. I stuck with my initial goal and bought Axure. Worth it

  • @NuotoMusic
    @NuotoMusic 2 месяца назад +1

    Also, are you planning on integrating any tab like functionality? It would be amazing if you could write tabs directly in a DAW and have them sound like this as opposed to the guitar pro soundbanks. Even better would be if it could import and export guitar pro files. Have you considered something like that?

    • @studysoundaudio
      @studysoundaudio  2 месяца назад

      You can export guitar pro files as MIDI into your DAW and use Axure with the MIDI data from your tabs. You will still have to add in your keyswitches and articulations, though.

    • @carlosamado7606
      @carlosamado7606 Месяц назад +1

      @@studysoundaudio That's the tedious part though. Something which would allow to use the techniques already established on a tab would make it infenitely more valuable than any other competition proposition. Is much easier to add techniques on a tab where you have shortcuts for every technique.

    This looks very interesting. Is this the same as double drop C? How do pinch harmonics sound and how do you program bends and vibrato? I've used Odin II and find that part really difficult to program there. Are there other things that your plugin can do that similar plugins don't - or why did you decide to make your own?

    • @studysoundaudio
      @studysoundaudio  2 месяца назад

      Hey there! Yes, it is "double drop C". Currently, we don't have pinch harmonics but we have natural harmonics. You would program vibrato in your DAW using a pitch envelope. Our library features the cleanest DI signal without interferance and is completely in tune. We focused on sound quality over everything else. We do plan to update Axure with more keyswitches and articulations in the future. Thanks for the questions!

    • @NuotoMusic
      @NuotoMusic 2 месяца назад

      @@studysoundaudio I see. So far I haven't found a way to program vibrato or bends in Ableton that sounds anywhere close to how it sounds in Guitar pro, and it's a pain in the ass to do so, while it's pretty easy in guitar pro. So am I correct to conclude that at this point you don't do anything more than Odin II or Shreddage 3 Hydra?

    • @studysoundaudio
      @studysoundaudio  2 месяца назад

      @@NuotoMusic There are definitely ways to envelope filter bends and vibrato in Ableton. Our library features everything you need to sound as authentic as possible to real guitar. I can’t speak for features in other programs, but the most important is how it sounds, and we stand by our sound.

    Hi Alan! I'd love to purchase this for an upcoming Argent Metal album I'm working on, and have a few questions.
    Will more guitars be added in the future? Will more static articulations be added in the future for bends/screeches? And in your testing, which virtual amps did you find interacted the best with the current guitars included? Also, how did you fall on the decision to use Decent Sampler over Kontakt or a standalone plugin? I've never used Decent Sampler but I've heard it has value.
    Looking great! Keeping the plugin simple is much appreciated, as someone who cant play guitars but can write for them, some of these plugins out here are definitely built for the guitarist in mind and not the producer. Also loving the simple key switches.

    • @studysoundaudio
      @studysoundaudio  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey there Jesse!
      We definitely plan on adding more guitars and articulations in future updates and libraries.
      The best amp simps to use are whatever you’ve got! We prefer using the latest offerings such as Neural DSP Nolly, Plini, and Gojira X paired with any cab sim.
      We are definitely thinking of the songwriter and producer with the development of our libraries. Attention to sound quality and ease of use are high priorities!

    There is no force string function right? Curious to hear where notes would be played as their tonalities for a same note vary so much. How was this sampled for this library?

    • @studysoundaudio
      @studysoundaudio  2 месяца назад +2

      At the moment there is no forced string feature. We will be updating the library with this feature in the future. The notes that are available now sound great, but could definitely use a forced string tonality for more detailed programming.

    • @stijnbos7614
      @stijnbos7614 2 месяца назад

      @@studysoundaudio So what kind of note placements were prioritized when sampling? Was it mainly the lowest strings for example, so riffing on the low E beyond fret 12 is possible, or would that be played on the A string instead?
      Also, how long do you think it will be until you implement the other features you mentioned?
      Sounds great either way btw!

    • @studysoundaudio
      @studysoundaudio  2 месяца назад +1

      @@stijnbos7614 Thanks! All strings were prioritized that way you get the lowest of lows and highest of highs. We don’t have an exact date yet, but are working on an update now. Appreciate you checking it out!

    If you guys can show how to map the articulations that will be perfect , not just key switching.. (ableton user) and how did you have a double tracked guitar sounding on L and R when you have only one vst ?

    • @studysoundaudio
      @studysoundaudio  Месяц назад

      Our content Director made a map for Ableton. You can message him @chris.bedan on Instagram and he’ll hook you up. As far as the guitar L/R, there are two presets for Axure that are completely different sample pools for that, G1 and G2.
