For fans who wanted the team to hire one of the Mcvay or Shanahan disciples need to understand we DON'T have the personnel to run the scheme they would install. Arthur Smith brings a tailor made scheme for the players we have currently on the roster.
Thank you, you’re one of the smart ones who actually understand no matter the OC, if he doesn’t have personnel that matches what he wants to do, more then likely the scheme we saw/want probably wouldn’t be the same.

I am ecstatic about this hire. I was watching a falcon's game in October and Patterson ran in for a TD. I was thinking that was a good play design, why can't we do that, and I was telling my friend that I have noticed how he does dial up good plays. When the falcons fired him, I was thinking to myself if the steelers hire him I would be totally on board with it. Did a little research and found out the titans had their best years of offense top ten when he was OC. So, I am stoked. Plus, he understands power football, which is the steelers way.
You can bash me, and I don't care, but to many of you are just ignorant fans that just repeat what you hear someone else say. If you had a though of your own your brain would tickle. This is an awesome hire and most of you are too ignorant to realize it.
Man, you took the words right out of my head. A lot of our fans have this complex that the Steelers are the holy grail and that every player, coach and staff member should drop everything to come here if requested. That’s not even remotely realistic. Another point about Smith’s time in Tennessee is that Henry didn’t become KING Henry until the 2019 season when their offense improved drastically overall
And before then, people were calling Henry a bust like they try to do to Najee right now
Here are some more facts for those who want the new shiny new toy. In 2018 matt LeFleur was OC and the titans were 26th in points. Smiths first year in 2019 they were 10th in points and 2020 they were 4th in points.

Definitely expect the Steelers to go get a center and RT in the draft. They are going to continue to build the o line and win at the LOS.
My biggest fear is that AS is going from the falcons to the Steelers and the only thing that has changed is the team location. They teams both have offensive pieces that were held back by qb play and we’ve seen how well a smith offense works when the qb is trash
AS was a head coach in Atlanta... wayyyyy more responsibility than oc... he can focus on the offense here

None yet.. he hasn’t done anything in Pittsburgh.. As a Steeler fan I have to admit, Steeler nation is one of the goofiest fanbases in sports.. You need to bring all them in the office
I'm not happy r sad about the hire the Steelers organization did what they said exactly what they was Gon do get a establish, already been OC.
Smith just needs a few offensive pieces. Center, tackle, fullback etc and he need to take a hard stance on Kenny and refuse to be Kenny's scapegoat like Matt Canada was. To be FAIR TO THE TEAM, Kenny needs to be put on a short leash. 3 games of typical trash QB play, Kenny needs benched! Listen to the fans and adapt accordingly!
I'm hopeful for Kenny, but he does not process information quickly and I don't know if that is fixable as numerous people have shown on tape and that was an issue coming out of college. He then panics and runs and does not read the field and misses wide open receivers like the play he got hurt on.
I personally would love to see what masons ceiling would be with smith considering how he performed after not playing for two years and under incompetent play calling.
Listening to fans is like taking advise from the peanut gallery... like a broken clock, only right maybe twice a day... I like how you put it that... as if Canada wasn't the problem... kenny started playing way better after Canada for a game and a half... but nobody will ever care about that
@@erichudsonjr5465 kenny played well because the Bengals didnt put much pressure on Kenny. The Cardinals game that was lost, kenny was being typical kenny again. Kenny got Canada fired and if the Steelers aren't careful next season, Arthur Smith will be kenny's next scapegoat. You must be a Pitt fan, not a real steeler fan.
as a falcon fan, trust me hes a good coordinator just wasn't a good head coach. Go back and look at the falcons offensive highlights and youll see some great results. Desmond Ridder is the reason hes not our coach anymore. Najee Harris is gonna love Arthur smith

Again, ignorant fans. Three years in a row falcons rookies set records for team. Pitts set record for TE rookie year, Bijan set rookie record for scrimmage yards this year and London set a record for something too. Also, one of the lowest graded Oline's and QB play. Does that sound familiar. Same things we are dealing with. He was set up to fail. Smith and the front office were not on the same page.
Some people are not ready to be HCs. or not HC at all, but outstanding coordinators Does Lebeau and Munchak ring a bell for any of you. This guy had to be doing something right to get a HC position to begin with. Use your brains for crying out loud. Again, come at me I don't care. I am just sick and tired of reading the ignorant, uneducated comments routinely in these chats. Like sim likes to say highlight watchers.
