I learned all of the most important Python basics in only 3 weeks, and if you're dedicated and have the time, you can too. In this video I talk about what my situation was like when I learned Python, my background, and an AMAZING free book: "Automate the Boring stuff with Python". Follow along with the video and you'll be coding in no time!

    Python is (in my opinion) the best beginner language. And it is always easier to learn something when you have a practical use case. That's why I always recommend Automate the Boring stuff, which is free online here: automatetheboringstuff.com/2e/chapter0/

    Very helpful video. I recently purchased a Python learning class on Udemy which is helpful but I also really like how you laid out your approach. I've already booked marked the book you recommended and will begin reading/going through it. I really like the automation use cases Thanks!

      Glad to help! Udemy is a great platform, and sometimes having that structured class can really help. Good luck!

    Greetings from Montenegro. I’m a Russian man who decided to change his life and go into IT sphere as a Data Analyst. I really appreciate tour videos because i found them very useful
    p.s. i practice English with you and learn sth new for my future’s job ^^
    Question: are Europe companies interested in junior data analysts employees from abroad like me or it’s better to find a job in my own country? Thx
    Beat wishes, Anton

    Thanks for linking everything with the video! Any plans to maybe do a tutorial to show some of the functions in action/the basics on how you built them?

    You did mention resource, that's cool but you never mention how you did that 'in only 3 weeks'. You would make timestamps (in hours/days) of what you did step by step. If you wish of course. Don't mean to say a bad word but a bit of clickbait ;) - how to learn a python in under a month? Read a book 'Automate the boring stuff with Python' chapter 0, 1, 2, + function ;)

      Hey that's a good point! If I had to write out my timeline, it would look something like this, keeping in mind I went through roughly 4-5 hours per day.
      FIRST WEEK:
      Chapters 0 - 2 (Three Days)
      Chapter 3 (Two Days)
      SECOND WEEK:
      Chapters 4 & 5 (Five Days)
      THIRD WEEK:
      Chapters 6 - 7 (Four Days)
      Chapter 8 (One Day)
      FOURTH WEEK:
      Chapters 9 & 10 (One day)
      With the last four days look at any of the remaining chapters and chose whichever are interesting to your current goals.

    I don’t think anyone can get a job as a developer, with just the foundations of python. Am I wrong? Because if so I’m gonna start applying...

    • @AaronMOliver
      @AaronMOliver  3 года назад +2

      @@AaronMOliver Very well then, What is the requirements then. Maybe make a 3 bullet list for me thank you 🙏 I’m guessing it’s 1. Foundations 2. Algorithms 3. Portfolio of projects

    • @AaronMOliver
      @AaronMOliver  3 года назад +2

      @@benjaminfindon5028 Excellent list. I agree with that one, if I were going at it with the intent to become a developer, I would focus on the fundamentals, then learn more about algorithms and math, learn how to program some popular algorithms from scratch (like sorting algorithms, reversing a linked list), then I'd join some online communities like www.reddit.com/r/learnpython/, and then finally do some in-depth projects to showcase your abilities to potential employers, and talk to people you know in the field to get referrals for jobs!
