you need to understand that the average joe & jones in the western worlds has very narrow view on everything, so please don't be offended. they are just simply living inside their cocoon, And you and my kind of "foreigners" just woke them up abit.

    • @aohige

It's not unique to Western worlds tam, "When in Rome do as the Romans do, or GTFO" is a common and unfortunately natural response in any country that ever existed.
As for Thai Kumnum, don't worry brits themselves complain a lot about Britain too, in fact they have mastered the self-depreciation sarcasm of their own state into comedy artform! Hell, I think they pull it off better than any culture in the world.

christotaku B.: Britain is mostly always wet and soggy and their houses are all small and compact, I mean why? Why can't house be big enough to accommodate people? In my country, we have large familial unit structures and we need bigger houses to stay in, this nuclear family with the small houses is depressing as shit! I would never go and live in England, the weather is pathetic and their food is full of oil, fat, salt and butter...ugh. I love my Indian food thank you, I would never want to live on a western diet. It's why they're so fat aged and out of shape. Processed foods which are made in 5 minutes are not good and the west need to stop making all this cheap fatty rubbish if they wanna be healthy.

Sacrcasm in Asian culture is different. In western, (or mostly in England) i see is already a part of conversation, it's normal. While in Asia it's not, we only get sarcastic when we're really mad, rude, and being hateful. Sarcasm also exist in East Asia but it was used differently, you should not expect people to act like you around the world damn it's already 2018 you should already know that

That light comment got me!! I absolutely HATE coming home from a long day to a super dark apartment and not only is there not a light switch right next to the door (seriously, WHY ISN'T THERE ONE??) but I have to walk through the kitchen in the dark and fumble to find the string and then wait in my case probably closer to 30 seconds just for the light to turn on. It's honestly infuriating. Hahahaha. My kitchen is bigger than yours but it still frustrates me how little counter space you get and that stupid metal counter. UGH!!! I feel like I'm connecting with you on a spiritual level here. And yes, I also laugh at the sad excuse for "bacon" in this country. :p

Oh God, Japanese bacon. I live in Japan (though I'm moving back to Canada in the summer) and this is hilarious. There's also the cheese that they sell as Camembert that has nothing to do with Camembert. Also, about the Japanese people who got mad, I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that a lot of them simply don't understand sarcasm, even if their English is decent. I've had some Japanese friends take me seriously when I sarcastically answered "no" to one of their questions. It's very strange.

    何でもかんでも馬鹿にされて反抗すんのも違うと思いますけどね。海外由来のもので日本化したものならある程度言及されるのも当然。
As a japanese,I actually can understand we are too much sensitive on criticism like his opinion.
Often stuff came in to japan get japanised, and we sometimes have too much pride on them, but I think that is because japan itself have a great diversity, and it when it faces oversea, that turn into whole japans nationality, and some people angry about criticism.
We have to keep in mind that we are actual member of this world, not only japan itself.
We have to care about the plagiarism of culture, we are too much lack of consciousness.
But This time I actually do not agree with his opinion because he is all right to import it himself, and I thought his opinion seems excessive desire.
And his title and content looks he intended to mention these kind of stuffs with excessive explanation, and looks he want to get view by these kind of excessive words. We actually eat that every day so it is not surprising to get comment like harsh japaneses one because of his excessive expression. So much lack of regard I think.
Comments from other jaqanese are actually idiotic though. xd Seems they can't understand jokes not a little bit!

a sealed pound of bacon is durable enough where you could FedEx two pounds, and it would survive the journey. in the summer months it might get a little soupy inside the pack. so much sodium, just refrigerate, and make it all up when it's been opened. get somebody to send some to you. crisps would be bulky but probably could be sent by post as well.

It's natural for the internet to react before knowing the context. People who are hating is obviously not subscribed to you and can't comprehend satire. Just focus on your supporters. Exposing your opinions like you have is bound to attract viewers to comment, whether it be good or bad. I'm a Japanese and I understood you. I found it entertaining. You haven't fucked it up like so many other big-time RUclipsrs out there, so stay confident.

I think where the misunderstanding happened is the fact that there is not really sarcastic humor in japan or in Japanese language and that can cause for a lot of misunderstandings because of this language barrier also culturally Japanese people in japan are taught to have a very nationalist mind set so most of the time they are listening to response and not listening to interpret because of this you just need to keep your head up and understand on certain topics since you are someone who comes from a country that allows a lot more free thinking and speech that on discussing certain topics just expect misunderstanding and try to be optimistic about why they are upset, and most importantly don't take it personally

You can't expect " a proper Western food" in Asia, because the western food is modified with asians' tongue. If they cook the proper Western food, Asian people won't easily accept it, and it means the company will collapse because it's western food, it means western culture not asian. You always being so negative, and having high expectations from Japanese people to like you while you are being negative about their country.

    • @yudeazuki6227
      @yudeazuki6227 7 лет назад +2

      日本語のレス感謝!非常に助かる!
      バラエティでも「風雲たけし城」の様な「目で見て誰でも解る」のは海外でも理解出来るみたいだけど、去年末の「笑ってはいけない」の浜田のエディーマーフィーみたいな物は外国人には笑いどころが解らないらしいよね。
      それと同じでこのビデオの彼が言う「ブリティッシュジョーク」なる物が我々には解らないんだよ。通常、ジョーク(あるいはブラックジョーク)はクスっと笑える部分が必要なのに、彼のビデオにはそれがない。他のコメントでも「君のジョークがつまらない(笑えない)から理解されないんだ」という様な物がいくつかあったから、少なくとも俺と似た様な事を考えた人も居たんだろうと思う。
      「我々イギリス人のジョークは世界共通であり、理解出来ない者が居るはずがない。なのに日本人のコメントは怒りで満ちている。日本人はおかしい」
      「英語話者ならジョークだと理解出来るのに」
      みたいな事を言い出すと、日本人から見たら「外国人特有の傲慢さ」を感じたり「日本人をバカにしてんのか?」程度にしか聞こえないんだよ。
      最後に「ジョークだけどね」って言われても我々は「はぁ!?」ってなっちゃう。なぜなら面白くないから。
      唯一、これかな?と思ったのが「イギリス人が食べ物を語る」部分。
      イギリスの料理はマズいというステレオタイプがあるから「ベーコン?イギリス人がなに言ってんだよ!」というのが笑いどころなのかな?と。聞いてみたって訳。悪気はないんだよ。
      長くなった。すまないね。

    • @iihh517
      @iihh517 7 лет назад +2

      いえいえ〜分かり合えてよかったです。
      この方は半分アジア系なので日本人を見下すなんて事はしないと思いますよ〜。「批判コメは日本語だったから英語が分からなかったのかな〜?」みたいな事は言っていますが。
      ここのジョークは「真顔でベーコンなんて下らない事を延々と語っている」ところだと思いますよ。ちょっと分かりにくいですよね(笑)。
      >最後に「ジョークだけどね」って言われても我々は「はぁ!?」ってなっちゃう。なぜなら面白くないから。
      イギリスのコメディー番組を実際に見ると「????」ってなると思うので、そこは文化の違いだと思いますよ。まーこの方も日本について話すと今後日本人が見るかもしれないと気をつけるかもしれないけど、ブリティッシュ・ユーモアをブリティッシュ・ユーモアが分かる人だけに発信していたと思っていたから意見の食い違いが起きたかもしれませんね。

    皮肉だってのは見ていてわかったよ。とはいえ、愉快ではなかった。
    英語での皮肉は英語圏で通じるものであって、日本で通用するわけはない。
    ジョークをシャレたユニーク表現として使用するのは英国流のものだし、それをここ日本で日本人が理解する必要はない。
    それに、ベーコンの話は本音だろ。そもそも英国料理がそこまで美味なのか?
    さらに言えば、ベーコンは日本料理ではない。チーズも、ハムも、ソーセージもそれが恋しければ欧州へどうぞ。
    普通の日本人はベーコンにそこまで思い入れなんかない。しかも、コンビニで欧米人の好む本格的な食材置くわけないだろ。。世界各国の様々な食材あふれる日本では普通に英国より美味いものがあるし、ベーコンのような食材はむしろ軽視されているとすら思う。もちろん、日本人だって美味しいベーコンが食べられるに越したことはないが、それって日本のベーコン消費量が上がりさえすれば自然に改善される筈なんだ。それが今もって改善されて?いないんだとすれば、日本人はベーコンなんてどうでもよいと思っているということ。
    良いベーコンがないと豊かな人生を送れないならそれこそ母国に帰るか、デパートに行くか、輸入品で購入したらどうか。ネットで買うことだってできるだろ。日本でベーコンはそこまで重視される食材ではないし、最寄りのスーパーマーケットやコンビニで普通にキミが満足する食品を置くとは思えない。第一、日本で販売する食材は日本人の味覚に合わせてつくる側面もあるだろ。たかが、ベーコンのことで炎上する必要も帰国する必要もないが、かといって、居住国への尊重や感謝もなくただ自分本位で居住し、不平を言う外国人のワガママをきく必要はないと思う。

Did you not hear him say, “ Here are some things I don’t like about Japan” Bro if you gunna complain bout someone not liking Japanese bacon then you have a problem. Look I am sorry you will never know what real bacon taste like, but why do care if he doesn’t like it? Japan is being defended by America and doesn’t understand English jokes. 😂
It’s funny because they teach English in Japan and you can’t take a joke. So much for the, “ Land of the Rising Sun” You a hater and we are not about that mane.

What daniel means with the joke is that only thing bad in Japan are the bacon and crisps the rest, meaning everything else except the bacon and crisps, are amazing.
