Palm Beach, or 'Palmy' as it's called by locals is one of the most beautiful beaches of Sydney.
Palm Beach was named after cabbage-tree palms, Livistona australis, which grew abundantly in the area. Palm Beach is also name of a suburb in the Northern Beaches region of Sydney.
Palm Beach is a great place to spend a day if you enjoy great food, walking, spectacular views, swimming, or surfing. It's where the Home and Away outdoor scenes at Summer Bay were shot.
In this video, we're going to take an easy walk all the way up to Barrenjoey Lighthouse for panoramic views over the Broken Bay, Central Coast, Pittwater and Palm Beach.
The Barrenjoey Lighthouse was built in 1881 and is a popular tourist attraction in the area. It is located on the crest of Barrenjoey Headland in the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
