Foods in Hawaii are awesome, especially their desserts. Hawaii is super diverse and the food fusions is just out of this world amazing. Probably one of the best food destinations in the world.
Yay! Ever Since I watched the first one my mouth salivated! Again thank you Mei Mei for another part for the food tour! Also say hello to mom and bird and remember to give him the rest of the food you eat. Even the Birds eat the crumbs 😆
Love your videos! Born and raised here in Hawaii, I've grown up on Waiola Shave Ice my whole life and I always recommend my mainland friends to try it. I don't blame you and Bird for going multiple times -- if I could, I'd do the same! ☺ Also, thank you for supporting and featuring some of the local businesses 💚
I wish some restaurants in Hawaii would let us here on the mainland can order food to ship to us here on mainland, please. Also print their menus for us.
Hi Meimei. I have Hawaii on my bucket list. I commend you for trying different foods. I can't say the same for me. I do not eat meat, fish, eggs, pork, or anything spicy so watching was a treat. I really think if I went to the cat place I would have adopted all of them and took them home. I went to Ireland and took home a Border Collie. It was so expensive to bring her home but well worth it. I had to get all her shots and had to purchase a seat for her. I think in total just for shots and a seat it was well in the thousands. She turned out to be the best furbaby I had. So smart too. Thank you for sharing and recommending all the wonderful food in Hawaii
As a Hawaii local, glad to see you tried out Tonkatsu Tamafuji this time! I think I recommended you try them out your last Hawaii trip so glad you did! Also, for the best shave ice, I would recommend you check out Shimazu's next time; very GIGANTIC portion sizes and the ice is fluffy and soft.
If you ever go to Kauai, it's much less of a tourist island and has amazing local places. You have to of course go to Dukes and try the yummy Hula Pie! But more underrated is the clam chowder & bread at Deli &bread, and the malasadas outside of K-mart are a staple for the locals.
Oh, I miss Hawaii and the food! We went last summer and ate a shave ice every day! So that's probably my favorite food in your video- your frequent trips to Waiola! Yum! Actually, maybe the poke! Can't get that kind of poke here. I love your food tours!
Paradise Cove is the best! The food, the show, and activies are amazing. I actually went there earlier in April where I went with my parents (since im still a minor ofc) and it was really special for me because my parents went there a few years after marriage ..and brought me there 20 years ish later. Such a fun night with my parents :)))
Yay i been waiting for part 2! I love all the shaved ice places you tried,my first job was for a shave ice company and i used to eat it all the time. But i know hawaiis is way better hopefully one day i can travel and try!
It never fails that after I leave home I find out about more places I should've tried. My family and I was just there in July and only now I see this video and find out about other yummy places I want to try.☹️ unfortunately I don't know when I'll be able to go back home. It's so expensive to fly back to Hawaii often.. Glad you enjoyed yourselves there in my home town. You were bringing back memories watching all the scenery in your video..
I loved the mochi shop and the hand pulled noodles shop and the shaved snow shop that bird liked those were my top three btw love your videos cant wait to see more of these vids in the future--great video meimei
Omggg this is amazing, I’m going to hawai for my birthday in October for like 3 weeks and this video is going to come in handy lol, I told my uncle about this video because he lives in hawai (he’s in the Navi out ther) so I told him to go check out theses places and he loved them, so I’m so happy to go and eat at all those places 😊. Oh and I love ur happy energy lol
OMG I ACTUALLY LIVE IN OAHU! The place that I mostly like to go is the ice garden I'm just obsessed with that place but sometime I order the strawberry flavor, mochi balls with double custard which is the one you ate it's so GOOD I love it! 😋
hi! i would love to see you go to london and eat some food there, as a person who lives there i know it’s different to what you eat, especially the breakfast. thanks!!
This video was so awesome - great food, beautiful views, and fun times! I literally yelled when I saw the sugarcane place, I love it so much but it’s so hard to find here 😢 Loved the vlog, I can’t wait to go back to Hawaii again and visit some of these places 😀🌈🏝️☀️
Not a alot of Greek eateries, or Mediterranean for that matter, in 808. Right off the top of my head would be Leo's Taverna on Bishop. Have yet to try out Is Istanbul Hawaii
Great video! You went to quite a few old favorites of mine. My favorite place to get the baked manapua is Sing Cheong Yuan Bakery. I hope you had a chance to get the macadamia nut chews there. It's like the peanut one, but with macadamia nuts. I will be there next week to get some. I've been away for way too long!
You hit nearly everything!!! I love how you went to Aiea Bowl, one of my favorites. Did you try their crunch cake? Also next time try Cowcow in Kaimuki for yogurt purple rice drink and halohalo at Magnolia. Those are some of my favs too.
Agree, Marukame Udon SF isn't as good as the one Hawaii! Thanks for the lovely list; makes it easier for us to have check off all our do to list! Love it!
Next to Henry’s place is a little shop called Waikiki Tea. They have some of the best crepe cakes on island. I definitely recommend. Also that skewer place looks bomb. I’ll have to try it, even though you said you probably won’t be back lol.
My first job was at a shave ice shack and I remember double fisting the syrup bottles LOL We had silly names like Mustang Sally and Bart Simpson and I still remember the flavors for each! We called it snowcap when we put condensed milk on top. I LOVE your videos so very much and your attention to detail like the fun transitions between locations with that little mouse click and always documenting prices. Keep making content and I'll faithfully watch 🥰
But did you and Bird ring the big bell at the temple? Hehe also I gotta say I love the humidity making your hair so voluminous, like a 90s fashion girly 🥰🥰 can't wait for the shrimp truck review! And now I gotta go to Stonestown for lunch get my fix 😆
love the vid!! I was born and raised on oahu and a place I would definitely recommend you to go the next time you go to hawaii is cinnamons, you have to get there red velvet pancakes. And another place would be gomate, its a ramen place that has the best ramen in my opinion. They make everything homemade and the best in my is the number 1. Hope you had fun on the island :))
Wow you hit up a lot of great spots that other vloggers aren't hitting. Some places I'd recommend on your next visit is Adela's Country Eatery, Waioli Kitchen and Bake Shop, and Singmatei in the Ala Moana Center food court!
Aiea is my hometown and Ice Garden is my younger sister's favorite shaved ice place. I got so excited when I saw it in this video since not many people go out there. I'm away for university right now so this made me lowkey homesick T^T
Highway Inn’s keawe loco moco is the best. It has a nice smoky flavor and if you can find one, white pineapple is awesome. You should try Holey Grail and Lapperts next time you’re in town. Sing Cheong Yuan has the best half moon and macadamia nut sesame candy.
You did a good job covering some local spots. Next time for poke (there’s so many good options) you can hit up Alicia’s, Ahi Assassins, Tamashiro market. Taniokas is one of my favorites tho, childhood memories of walking across the street to get some!
You have to try Pipeline Bakery, Diamond Head Bakery and Ube bakery ( forgot the name, Ube everything), I had the best Ube Mochi!! Had be a corner piece!!

What was your favorite food from Part 1 & 2?! Let me know below! ♥
There are so many Ono Grindz!!! I'm about part one. From the pancakes to the specialty Katshu"pork loin" in my opinion 😋
Lol, seems like overcooked meat was a pattern in Hawaii. Was it? 😅
The fried food ones!
The Katsu plate.
I can’t believe Disney missed the opportunity to base the Hawaiian resort and spa around Lilo & Stitch 🥲
Nah that’s a crime that they didn’t do that..
