if you ask me their live shows stopped to be unpredictable and wild at the end of 2000, so that´s already a long time ago. they were still brutal and fierce during the iowa tour but it was more on a professional/staged level but at least sid was still going nuts with stage dives. until 2005 they preserved a very intense overall engery and starting with all hope is gone in 2008 and got more static with only very few occasional jumps by corey or jim. in 2011 (memorial tour) they re-vitalized (in tribute to paul), clown did some backflips like back in the days and sid did some crazy stage diving. from there on it got less wild and more static, also because of various injuries/surgeries. with the addition of michael their stage shows re-gained some of the unpredictable and wild (goofy at times) essence which i appreciate a lot. also i think that jim is still kicking serious ass and also jay is usually on fire. regarding corey, to me it´s more important that he deliveres vocal wise and his voice improved so much over the past few years, it´s incredible. in general i think it´s more important that they are still passionate about it, you can feel it when you watch them, they give all they have, like mick for example, i am sure he would love to headbang as crazy as in 2000 but due to serious back injuries it´s just not possible. so basically he is still the same but it looks different more than 20 years in. my 5 cents. cheers! on a side note: i met sid back in 2004 in london and asked him why he doesnt stage dive anymore and he said something along the lines of "because my body is broken"

Out of all the performances, he's stayed the same for all I can remember though as you say His head bangs aren't really as wild as they were in 2000, they are still fucking kick ass and match his look really well. I've heared that "The New" album Is Just going to be unreleased songs from AHIG area, which is cool, but they also said It was gonna be like Radio head vibes, and Ngl I love Radio head. But I just can't Invite the fact that it's going to be a mellow Rock sound. It's on the fact that Corey and with the improvement of his screams since 2020 have Been increadable, but to go to waste In a mellow rock instead of a Heavy vibe more Iowa if you will. Not to say this New one wont be good, just don't have hope for how it's gonna sound on my end as I try to enjoy it. Like I painfully noticed with a lot of metal bands lately their music has joined to today's sound of music. It's like pop, and have been listening to it for dam near a decade, It has slithered into the way they try to make heavy metal, becoming more mellow and somber. @@jeremycruise2875 regarding the new album with radiohead vibes, that´s related to "look outside your window", songs they recorded during the ahig recording sessions in 2nd studio (mainly corey, jim and clown but sid/paul were also involved), most probably it won´t be released under the name of slipknot as it wasn´t the full band involved. you know some songs from this recording sessions like til we die but also death because of death and my death (they re-worked these songs for wanyk), i´m very curious about this album. also i do think that the new proper slipknot album will be experimental and we will hear weird and unsual stuff but there will be the heavy songs as well (like chapeltown), so it´s a different breed than look outside your window. thanks for the kind words, glad you dig the video. too bad you couldn´t watch them in canada, i saw them in calgary/edmonton/victoria/vancouver in 2009 and toronto/montreal/quebec city in 2016, great memories for these journeys. hope you´ll be able to see them soon with the new album, cheers
they were probably drunk/high on stage during like 1997-2002 i think? i could be wrong but i know corey was sober starting 2003 so i didn’t know if that meant the whole band was sober during that time. but i think the main reason they were just absolutely fucking crazy when they were young was 1.they were young and not old like they are now and if u ask me if they tried to do what they did now back when they were younger we probably wouldn’t see slipknot for a while because they would ruin there bodies. and 2. drugs
