      I have this idea too, and recently I have been thinking about this like a lot, because... no one knows what is the canon ending to the game, right? Well, this is my idea for a possible Dawn of War 3. There will be four factions (the expansions could add more): tau, tyranids, chaos space marines and the last one will be a combination of the space marines, the imperial guard and the sisters of battle (I know this sounds like heresy, but it feels very silly watching them fighting each other when they are supposed to represent the same nation; also, they are very similar, and that means boring); each one of the factions would have its own individual campaign, without mixings (I mean, there are no relations between their plots). So, the tyranid campaing would be about assaulting the Kaurava system at the end of the conflic. First of all, I will change a bit the things: only Kaurava II would be a jungle planet, Kaurava I would be a megapolis-world and Kaurava IV would be a frozen world (just to add diversity). So, this is what happens, from the begining to the end (I will change a lot of things since some of them feel very silly, like the Tau attacking at the beginign instead of waiting and attack when everyone is tired): the four worlds are supposed to be ruled by the Imperial Guard, but both Space Marines and Battle Sisters want the planets for them, so the political state of the Kaurava System is kinda weird because of this internal conflict, and the Imperial Guard wants both Space Marines and Battle Sisters to get out of their worlds; the big conflict starts with a Tau invasion, wich would be well recibed by the population since they are all tired of their weirdo political state; orcs tribes live in the jungles of Kaurava II, and when the conflict starts orcs from other planets came to join the conflict; also, the dark eldar came, like always, to loot; the conflict grows and, because some strong battles over Kaurava III, the necrons awake, and the eldars, who have keep an eye over that planet during centuries, came to fight the necrons. So, at this point, after everyone else is in the system, is when the warp storm appears, and the chaos space marines arrive. Because of the warp storm, no one can enter or get out of the system. So, the conflict develop: the necrons defeated the eldar, who retired to their craftworld, which would be orbiting Kaurava III, but both orcs and chaos space marines attack the planet; after defeating the Imperial Guard, the Battle Sisters, as the fanatics they are, decide to launch an exterminatus over the planet Kaurava III; only the forces of the chaos space marines survive, retrieting at time to Kaurava IV. The Space Marines then attack Kaurava I to stop the Battle Sisters before they declare exterminatus on more planets. They kill the leaders of the Battle Sisters and join forces with what is left of the Battle Sisters and the Imperial Guard, and they attack Kaurava IV. At the same time, the orcs, leaderless, fall into internal wars, and the tau take the opportunity to expand, conquering most of the surface of Kaurava II. The dark eldars see the opportunity too, going to Kaurava II to loot, but the tau fight them and kill their leader. Meanwhile, the chaos space marines attack Lacunae and defeated the dark eldars. So, the forces of the Imperium of Man (Space Marines + Battle Sisters + Imperial Guard) arrive at Kaurava IV an attack the fortress of chaos. Because of this, the warp storm disappears and the tyranids, who would have been waiting outside the system, now can enter in it. They start attacking Kaurava II, since its the one with more life, and they defeated the Tau, who run away back to their empire. When the Imperium forces realize of this, they run back to Kaurava I, allowing the forces of chaos to survive. The tyranids then attack Kaurava IV, and the remaining forces of chaos are forced to retreat to Kaurava III, where they gather forces and recover strenght. At this point, the craftworld of the eldar has left the system, the remaining orcs have been devoured by the tyranids, the remaining dark eldars have run back to Commorragh, the tau have also left the system, and the necrons have been destroyed after the exterminatus on Kaurava III (which, because of the exterminatus, is now like a volcanic world). The necrons who could have possibly survived to the exterminatus are now destroyed by the chaos space marines. So, now only three forces are left: tyranids (Kaurava II and IV), chaos (Kaurava III) and the Imperium (Kaurava I). The remaining forces of the Imperium decide to launch an exterminatus over Kaurava II while the tyranids are devouring Kaurava IV, destroying half of the tyranid forces. Because they only have arsenal for two exterminatus (which have been used on Kaurava III and II), now the Imperium has to fight. They go to Kaurava III to stop the tyranids before they can reach Kaurava I, and there the Imperium, the forces of chaos and the tyranids fight. Chaos is finally defeated and the tyranids conquer the world. The forces of the Imperium retreat to Kaurava I, where the final battle happens. The Imperium is finally defeated, and they are forced to retreat. The tyranids devour Kaurava I before the imperial reinforcements arrive, and then they abandon the system and move to another. So, at the end, the four planets have been destroyed.

Alien Factions: Tau, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Necron, or Orks. Human Factions: Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Sisters of Battle, or Imperial Guard. Which do you believe is the greatest faction to fight with?

    The Blood Ravens have an unusually large number of Librarians among their forces, but they are still largely compromised of regular marines.
    The Chapters of the Space Marines do not pool resources except when co-operating during a campaign, and this includes witholding any information and/or artifacts stored within their individual Librariums, unless sharing these things are critical to the succes of the campaign.

    In the early days of 40k, the planet Warhammer Fantasy takes place in was actually a part of the 40k galaxy, one of many human worlds isolated by Warp Storms. Sigmar was one of the two missing Primarchs as well. Nowadays however, I believe that they are officially two completely different universes.
    And as far as I know, 40k is based off this world. The Emperor was born in Anatolia, in modern day Turkey.

    Usually they don't. However, since they answer to different parts and a pangalactic Imperium is a bureaucratical nightmare, they aren't often coordinated very well. IIRC the Sisters are the military branch of one of the Inquisition orders, the IG are the army of the Imperium, and the Marines are an autonomous force within the Imperium. I've read that something like that may happen, but is quite rare.

    Well, it is the year 40,000 and the Emperor was born sometime in 8000 BC. There wasn't a Greece or Turkey as we know it, just a region. When Horus asked where he was born, the Emperor was probably just running through his memory, like, "What did they call that place again? @TheWolfBearProject "The fact races have been taken out from GW's works" means, like Big brother would to tell, that they don't exist. The races aren't the same. They have similarities. The undead in Warhammer fantasy are the 40k Necrons. Necrons who have flesh are Necrontyr. they never had flesh before their "immortality." Yet the undead, who have flesh in the fantasy, play similarly to the Necrons in their metal casing.

Soon, there would be none of these wise men to guide humanity, so they made a plan. 1000 shamans committed ritual suicide and theirs souls merged, forming a New Man, one who would not die. Thus, in ancient Anatolia, the Emperor of Mankind was born. Google 40K fluff for lore if you're interested.

    however, it is entirely possible in the universe of 40k, that a planet exists that has the fantasy realm on, maybe blocked of by a warp storm. You are forgetting the fact races have been taken out from GW's works. Such as first edition fantasy had a army called Fishmen/Menfish. Tht is wer the idea for tau came from.

    I'll tell you this. The game doesn't suck. It could've been better if it wasn't for THQ & Relic pushing Ironlore (the guys responsible for Titan Quest) too much. Thus rather than ending the first Dawn of War saga with units like Chaos Dreds/Terminators, Vanguard/Sternguard, the rest of the Aspect Warriors/Wraithguard, we've got something that the fans didn't want in the game.

    It's said that the Emperor often guided humanity in the past, secretly in disguise. Many of the world's great leaders, historical figures, and messiahs were all actually the Emperor. So one of the possible implications is that the Emperor was Jesus. So, maybe when the Emperor revealed himself at last, he explained all this stuff. He himself was not big on religion & superstition, preferring science. I don't think there's a clear answer, but there's no mention of Christianity in 40k.

    Can someone explain how can all the freaking races of WH40k attack the same system and why? And why would Adeptus Sororitas fight Adeptus Astartes and the Imperial guard and so on? This game made no freaking sense :D

    • @hellfire2180
      @hellfire2180 9 лет назад +29

      Just their luck I guess, and the reason the imperium is fighting itself is because the SOB believe that the blood ravens and the imperial guard are corrupted and must be purged, while kyres ordered the blood ravens to purge all life on the planet to recover the relics without anyone knowing what they are while the guard are just defending themselves

    • @CZProtton
      @CZProtton 9 лет назад

      inquistor darkheart Nope, pure bullshit. I get that is what they try to say to give some reason to it, but... SoB could not just go and purge a chapter. That is total bullshit. As for the Guard... they cannot do shit against the power of the space marines, so they would just let them take the relics and would help them with it as a Chapter Master is higher than a governor and you do not want to piss him off. And the rest... would never meet in one place. Dark Eldar? Why the fuck are they there? Normal Eldar can get there because of the necrons... The Chaos? Why? Where is this system anyway? Near the eye of terror? That would mean that Chaos could be there, but not the Tau... you just cannot put all races of the universe in one system. Does not work.

      CZProtton I know it probably too late to answer this, but here we go.
      You are right that the conflict between the Imperial Forces is artificial and purely for the purpose that every faction has to fight any other. Which unfortunately undermines all three imperial forces fluff wise.
      The guard isn't suicidal to fought against space marines without any need. The sister are fanatic, but don't BURN simply everything, without explicit orders.
      And the Blood Ravens look like traitors which twice in a row right imperial forces in a great scheme. (prophetic perhaps?)
      The Dark eldar don't need special reason, since they are pirates and slave hunters, things which can work well in a big conflict.
      If you play the choas campaign to the end, it is revival that a single guardsmen was a secret psyker, which got seduce by the warp and did dark rituals to summon the Chaos Space Marines.
      Overall, SS is pretty terrible fluff wise. The most daring thing however are still the "100 newly produce Baneblades sent away to the front and NO Baneblade left to defend the fabric, which produce them".

    • @tristanfaulkner6003
      @tristanfaulkner6003 7 лет назад +4

      It did make sense sorta if you consider all the problems with the Imperium. The Sisters did have orders to purge the system and everyone in it from the Inquisition and the Ecclesiarchy and the Guard actually was responsible for the warp storm due to a single guardsman summoning the chaos legion. Entire regiments have been purged because of individual guardsmen before so that's not very far fetched. As for the Blood Ravens, the reason they and the Sisters fought was more due to poor communication than real reasons. The Blood Ravens act almost independent of the other branches of the imperium and often act in secret and answer mostly to their own chapter leadership. It looks like they went to Kaurava without alerting the rest of the Imperium, so the Sisters arrived without knowing the Ravens were there and since the warp storm cuts off communications and reinforcements the Sisters could not receive new orders and it goes against their nature to rethink their original orders. the Ravens in turn probably did not know the Sisters were there either until it was too late. The different branches of the Imperium rarely coordinate properly and since everyone is brainwashed to follow orders without question if orders conflict it can lead to some very bloody misunderstandings. The Sisters technically have superior jurisdiction since they report to the Inquisition and the warp storm and deep presence of chaos makes it an inquisitorial matter, the Blood Ravens should not have even been in that system to begin with and even when they were stuck they should have simply retreated to their battle barge and hid until the storm was over while trying their best to stay out of the Sisters' way since they know the Sisters are crazy in their devotion and can't be expected to not interpret orders to the letter. As for the Guard both the Blood Ravens and Sisters had a very good reason to put them down since the Guard were officially marked as traitors and heretics. On Kronus the Blood Ravens were in the right, but in Kaurava they basically walked right into a Purge. A Space Marine Chapter can indeed be purged if it crosses the Inquisition and resisting the Sisters is considered interfering with the Ordo Hereticus. Space Marines are officially just as vulnerable to purges as the Guard, but unofficially it is not usually done because of how valuable the Marines are to the Imperium, but that doesn't matter because the Sisters don't consider unofficial rules or political stuff and exist only to purge. This is why the Adepta Sororitas and Astartes are often kept separate by the Imperium.
