10 years ago they made one of the best games ever, but with every subsequent release they've decided to fuck with the formula that made that original game so awesome. Now, instead of trying to actually make a new game of the same quality they've just decided to make aesthetic enhancements to the original game.

The memories flood back, and im a kid again on my old xbox with me and my brother watching each other play our character and seeing what each of us did different in the game. Good times

Fable was the coolest game ever when it first came out. I am so glad they did a remake! Totally thrilled to add it to my collection.
Good job Lionhead, you've recreated a game worthy to be praised & played..again. You have me actually interested. Use this as a lesson & make fable like it was again. Bring back the fairies, the different type trolls, the meaner hobs, & the enchanting fairytale theme. Also, make more new spells for the official Fable 4

I grew up playing this game and as I grew I also started playing the other fable games and I still play the original fable for the memories and good times as well as an epic experience and glad to see that it's remastered and will give me more hours of gameplay as well as many others who have played this and really enjoyed ever second

Fable 1 is my favorite game, the best game i have ever played tho. I remember the feeling when the first time i match the werewolf (it was scare the shit out of me) or win the race to have a chance to steal the key when u got in to jail like no other games have done to me. But the other 2 are just disapointed, the story of them are too fast and not memorable. Also the places are boring, unlike in Fable 1 everytime you went to a new map u always felt "wow ! what is waiting for me here, what can i do" and there are alot of things, even side quests are much much better.
Hoang Dang yeah, it was the first of its kind.. idk how old u were back when it first came out, (i was around 12-13) and remember reading things on the internet a little before the game came out and it was actually going to have so much more stuff to do in it but a lot of it was left out due to time pressure. But nonetheless it was the funnest i had in a game.
ReaLifeVideos420 i was a bit younger at the time. This is the only game i finished 100% main and side quest, me and my brother team up to solve all the challenges. However we played for several times and still excited.

lol omg i know me too, i fuckin LOVED the arena, it was such a bummer that u couldn't go in it again and again if you wanted, i know in The Lost Chapters u go through it again (depending on the choice u make in a quest near the end of the game) but damn that was a great quest in a game, i think it was the only game to put a quest where u fight in an arena during mid-evil times.. i really liked the prison quest too, the bandit camp was a cozy quest as well.

i know! i my thoughts exactly! ... they really did need to make it a little harder because u can literally max ur self out and buy the toughest sword very early in the game.. like i know its free will and open world meaning like u can do anything u want when u want but still.. the game was 3 hours long and u can half-ass it and cheat ur way through, but i guess they wanted it to be short.. u know, short n sweet.
This fable! This one beats them all!
The original fable was the best, its dark, gritty, plenty of customization options, and the storyline is pure gold.. Played it again and again and it never gets boring

My favorite game ever released for the xbox/xbox360 is Fable 1. I played that game for so many hours as a kid and I still love going back for a play through. The story, art, soundtrack, and best of all the villain Jack of Blades was all fantastic. However, I can't believe how down hill everything went after Fable 2. They managed to destroy a perfect product after one game. In all honesty, I wish fable 2, 3, journey, and whatever else they have made were never thought of in the first place. Not that any of those have an effect on Fable 1, but they ruined a perfectly good name that I believe could have been up there with the other big named games that are still going on today, but actually successful.

I played all three and they are all good in their own way. The evolving weapons in 3 were cool and fable 2 was closer to 1 with better combat but after playing anniversary i couldn't care less if 2 makes it pc

Fable 2 was a solid game, loved it, loved the first one too. I just wish they'd release the second game on PC too, I still have the CD and a console but I don't want to keep it forever just for one game.

I’ve never played fable one because the graphics were bad and that’s one of my pet peeves, however I’d say fable 2 was the best fable (in my opinion). I love the openness and how you can do whatever you please and make decisions. I love how YOU choose how you want people to see you as a person and as a hero. The overall story of fable 2 is very emotional and I found myself crying at the part (spoiler) where my dog dies. I obviously chose the wish to bring him back to life. Fable 2 had to be my favorite. Fable 3, however felt a bit rushed. It was still a overall amazing game but just not quite as good as fable 2. However, with fable 3, I truly felt as if I was emotionally attached to all of the characters (especially Walter)... I cried quite a bit (spoiler) when Walter died. Because it was more emotional and it tied to the beginning of the story when he asked me if I remembered what I said when he read to me as a child. I said “teach me to be a hero” and that’s what he asked me right before he died... and that’s what really got me and I cried for a while. Walter was one of my favorite characters. I think some day I’ll play again and see if I can change something so he won’t die but I doubt it. That saddened me quite a bit. It was also weird how my character talks but I don’t so much mind that. I like how you can choose things with the “X Y A B” buttons though. It really adds to the plot. One thing I don’t really like about the game, though, is that when you marry someone, move into the castle, leave for a while, and come back to see him divorcing you, you lose the castle... you no longer own it and you have to pay 800,000 dollars to get it back... and the since you don’t live in the castle, all the guards will cross their arms when you walk past instead of saluting to you... I got super mad at that (losing the castle). That’s kinda stupid. Anyway, I don’t like that elliot cheats on me either lmao. It’s not a big deal but like wtf dude lol. So I chose to keep my promises and that led me 1M dollars bankrupt and so everyone died in Albion exept for me and the guards... so there’s just dead bodies everywhere and it’s super boring (adding to the homelessness). And I heard that you just wait a few days but that didn’t work either soooo... I’ll have to replay and choose to be bad I guess (or work a lot to get more money). Also the last thing that confused me is that I couldn’t find any of the main characters... (Page, Ben, the king of the dweller camp, the queen of Auora...) ummm! At the end of the story, they all said that they’d stick around Albion! And they didn’t! One last thing that made me sad is that you can’t marry Ben... I really hoped I could but you can’t... so what the fuck?! Whatever tho. Also the fort that Ben worked at...? It’s gone? Like not gone but it’s for sale... so whatever. I hoped that I could go at least see the main characters walking around and maybe do a quest with them or something but no. Also all the side quests are boring so when you finish the game, you’re done... there’s nothing to do but restart and that super boring too... ok so fable 4... I’ve seen comments that they are making a fable 4? Someone please explain below... I don’t really care if it’s not as good, I’d still like to play it. I’m a bit confused tho because I thought peter left the company and stopped making fable (which made me REALLY MAD AND ANGRY AND SAD AND DEPRESSED) but whatever. Someone please explain if there is a fable 4 and how to find it and what it’s called... THANKSS. See y’all laterrr (wow this took me like 2 hours to make lmao) but yeah, I really enjoyed all the fabled and I hope there’s more to come! :)
Man, I still play the original of this game for the Xbox. Now the remastered version is official for Xbox 360... I am SO getting this version!!
I think I played Fable Lost Chapters on the original Xbox over and over maybe 40x. Just loved it that much. I can't wait to continue doing it again. :)
I agree, Lost Chapters version of the game dramatically increased my potential to slaying more enemies and the extra 2 1/2 hours of game play make it more worthwhile. :) I've played the original version on my 360 up until i heard about this. This makes my day so much better!

Here after the awful new trailer. As someone who routinely listens to the Fable soundtracks, it makes me so angry that Russell Shaw is STILL AVAILABLE and they haven't gone with him. I get that trailer music isn't always that used in the games but the music in the trailer sounds so generic and not like the whimsical, magical, fantastic Shaw score, which to me, contributes so much to the soul of the originals.

***** I wasn't speaking about the games themself, i quite enjoyed DmC despite the fanboys hating on it, and RE4 was a great game. I was reffering to the RE4 Hd that was recently annaunced, which is just the same game with revamped textures and major resolutions, and the DMC HD Trilogy that followed the same path. In the other Hand microsoft actually makes good remakes (Halo CE Anniversary and now Fable) which feature enhanced lighting, particle effects and textures with a different engine.

new players a tip: the more skill points for magic and strength and so forth the more you use the more your character ages if they kept it

To all negatives, in my opinion your just trying to pick it apart at the small things, I've already finished anniversary in an evil way in 20 hours and now im about to replay it straight after with a good hero but try to spend way more time in albion :)

Do you guys see the price they're asking for it? 32 euros for a improved graphical game that doesn't even look like a huge graphical improvement from the original. For 32 euros I'd expect cryengine grade graphics. Loved Fable 1, had hundreds of hours of fun but I'd barely pay 15 euros for this version. Of course that's just my opinion and standarts

Yes, this is the original Fable, and the additional Lost Chapters content. It's easily the best of the series, the second and third games don't come close.
I played this game when I was 7 so I didn't really care for RPG's and storyline's, I just wanted to kill stuff but I loved Fable 2 and Fable 3 was alright i guess. Now i can play through the first one
