    One habit that has been helping me is the "no phone on bed" rule. I've been trying to put my phone out of my reach when lying on bed, being ready for a good sleep. It has helped me fall asleep faster and wake up with a clearer mind. I also find that I don't get headaches as often as in the past when I was just scrolling aimlessly through the social media before bedtime. Anyway love your vibe so much.

      I use audio therapy for sleep so I keep my phone on my night stand a bit aways. I turn the volume up so I can hear it enough to relax me but not too loud to keep me up. Works wonders!

    One habit that has been REALLY helping me, this month, was taking some time every day to sit down with my thoughts, listen me and my emotions. I usually do it outside in my garden, it's really calming, expecially when i don't want to listen what i'm feeling. It has helped me so much to accept them and don't have fear of what i feel or think.

    August in one word - youtube ( I started youtube channel and taken so much time to learn about it )
    Highlights - 1 book readed (I am rich beyond my wildest dreams)
    - learning harmonium
    - done meditation hole month without missing anyday
    - I don't cared about people thinking upon me , enjoying the now
    Edit - I can improve myself for next month by using less mobile phone and focus on study 😃 , god bless me 😌

    I'm so grateful for your channel. I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I binge watched lots of your videos. I found the 'current self'/'future self' element soo helpful as it made me honestly acknowledge where I am in life (which was kind of painful to lay out on paper all the messy aspects of myself and my life that I am not currently happy with) and then how I can bridge that gap into being my idealised 'future self'. I feel like I am not just mindlessly going through my days anymore but am actually purpose-driven and goal-driven.

    I love these videos! I wouldn't necessarily plan my goals for the coming month but as soon as I see your videos I take the take to sit down, answer the questions and reflect. The habit helping me is zumba 3 times a week. It helps with my mood, my discipline and my energy level. The habit hurting me is waiting for motivation to do some work instead of being disciplined and starting the work whether or not I wanna do it. Lack of motivation is closely related to cellphone usage so I'll work on turning it off more often.

    Personally I really like your plan with me videos and don't want to see them stop. Seeing it pop up in my feed really does make me set aside time to do my planning. I sit here and pause when I'm supposed to pause, answering each question. And I like seeing your answers as well.

I feel refreshed after every Monthly Planning, and my mind feels clear and ready to tackle the new month!     I'm going to put mine in the comments as well as in my notebook, just to inspire anybody!
    1. August in one word: Magical
    2. Highlights of August: Feeling in control during rough situations, seeing friends, finding a balance between social and by myself time, and my upstate NY vacation
    3. One thing I'm proud of: The fact that I felt braver this month, and pushed past social fears!
    4. No matter how much you doubt it, somebody out there really does love you.
    5. How to improve for next month: Really having a good attitude when I play with my brother because we won't be able to as much anymore.
    6. September will be: Enlightening
    7. Top 3 goals for September:
    1. Set aside times for writing at least once a week
    2. Strive to study for classes
    3. Make walking and/or bike riding regular
    8. Mini September goals:
    1. Meet up with a certain friend
    2. Try a salad or new healthy food!
    3. Make stretching regular
    4. Slowly get back into reading
    5. Look appropriate for Zoom classes
    9. Goal Breakdowns (this took quite a long time!)
    1. Week one: Set reminders for writing, Organize school supplies, talk to Mom about walking/biking alone, communicate with friend about meet-up dates, research simple salads, set stretching reminders, ask Dad to go to the library
    2. Week two: Check up on writing progress, set aside study times for each class, revisit biking/walking, hopefully, have seen friend by now, if now revisit it, research salad dressings, reflect on flexibility progress, set aside reading times, pick out outfits in advance
    3. Week three: Change writing time to two times per week, review class notes and recordings, try to walk/bike 3 times per week, pick a salad and other healthy food to try, flexibility check-up, continue outfit-in-advance method, re-read this plan
    4. Week four: Change writing times to 3 times a week, stick to study times + reread notes and re-watch recordings, change walking/biking to 4 times a week, check on stretching progress, read 75 pages per day, continue outfit-in-advance method, do an October planning with me.
    10. I set reminders for the reading, writing, stretching, and plan re-visiting!
    11. Healthy Habit: Listening to ASMR at night has been helping me sleep! Harming Habit: Being on my phone while trying to sleep kills me some days...
    That's all! I hope this was inspiring! Remember: Practice makes progress, not perfect! Love you!

    trust me this month I learned a lot. I became a productive person.
    some of the things that helped me a lot in this month:
    1) every day I make todo list for next day in a notebook
    2) I started drinking water 3-4 ltr/day, trust me before this month I didn't even drink 1 ltr/day!
    3)wakeup and say thank you to the universe, then I take bath after that I do meditate then start my day according to my todo list
    4)learn self-love
    5)end the day with journaling and gratitude. I made a dairy, where I wrote everything and gratitude stuff
    6)and learn how to make my self happy and productive
    7) learn the importance of planning and execution
    8) make a zen corner for me and did a bit room decor
    I did really good on this month, just want to pat on my self! I really proud of me for full filling all the things that I wanted to do.
    for September I really want to continue this flow of productivity, want to start yoga and want to be a morning person

    These videos are very helpful to keep me accountable. Yes, I can answer the questions in my own, but without the video and hearing about your life I don’t think I would plan. My notebook would be empty. You inspire me to plan my life and it feels like we are planning our lives together with you rather than in our own vacuum of space. A helpful habit for me is that I’ve started hand sewing with inspiration from historical sewers on RUclips which takes me away from electronics and allows me to create things. A harmful habit is allowing myself to be overwhelmed at work and carrying that feeling and negativity with me into my personal life. Working from home makes it more difficult to separate the two. Hopefully this month will be better!

    One habit that’s been helping me : MEDITATE, I did every morning as challenge , and I was realized that it’s helped me to stay consistently and more inner calm . 1 hobbit that’s been hurting me : when I shared my own stories , problems to wrong peoples that didn’t understand what I mean!! It’s truly hurt my feelings, also it’s a great experience to be more careful trust next time 😉

    yes, yes, YES!!! keep on doing these plan with me videos because i have been looking out for them! planning my next month in such an introspective way helps me be more conscious of my life and my place on the current life path. very grateful for these videos and have been actually waiting for september one for a week now, hahah!
    one habit that has been helping me is smiling and being patient+attentive to other people. i have changed jobs and now i need to learn more how to communicate with people and it's been hard regarding my introversion AND social anxiety issues. but i've noticed that smiling, being nice and considerate actually helps and improves relationships with others!
    one habit that has been hurting me is choosing fast food or ready-to-eat food in the stores instead of cooking everything by myself. first of all, i have spent much more money while doing this (and rn this hurts me more than helps). second of all, my choices were not healthy and i've started to break out again after a month of being perfectly clean on my face. i need to stop being so lazy and get back to cooking which i actually love doing!!!
    anyway, thank you again, Aileen, for your work and the concent. always brings tons of insight and inspiration! ;)

A habit that's been working against me has been not being intentional enough with my time, but my word for August was Progress and I'm so grateful for having found this channel because doing this really does centre me

    Please keep doing this! It's been a very helpful reminder for me to review the past month and plan for the new month. Plus, I often learn a lot from your reflection.
    Regarding the bonus questions, I have the same "hurting habit", which is procratinating at difficult tasks and decisions. The habit that is helping me, however, is to set the ddl 2 days prior to the actual ddl. This gives me the room to make last-minute revision, if necessary.

    YES! ofc we still want to see these!! they are soo motivational and inspiring! i just set up all my goals, and hopefully I can actually work towards them this month! my helpful habit was drinking water (yep i barely have anything else so) and the habit that has been hurting me is watching too much tv, as i keep taking breaks and postponing work to watch tv shows, which i am definitely going to try and reduce this month!

My past months were extremely anxiety-laden, either completely throwing myself into work or completely procrastinating till the last minute. But since I started doing these monthly journaling/planning with you, I have seen loads of improvement in my mental status regarding productivity.

    One habit that's been helping me is doing yoga or a quick workout. This has helped me calm down and reflect when my mind/situation is getting out of my control. It has also taught me how to let go and be present.
    And the one habit that's been hurting me is staying up late.

    One habit that is helping me is that I started doing sleep meditations nightly. It has been amazing!! It definitely helps my sleep. One habit that is hurting me is not meal planning. Not having lunch planned means I usually reach for unhealthy options. Also I love the reminders!!! I love these videos!!!

    One habit that has been helping me is listening to your podcast on spotify every morning. I have started it for a month, not a long time, but it's enough for me to find myself in your story. One bad habit recently is spending quite amount of time watching TV because I have much time in my arms and I don't know how to fill these gaps.

      Try to learn new languages or learn new recipes, watching TV isn't a bad thing but doing others things like the one I suggested won't hurt

    one habit that has been helping me lately is to review my day every night and sleep with some motivation to start a good day the next day. one habit that has been hurting me is using phone too much and wasting time. ps. i recently came across your channel and i can't believe that after watching 2 or 3 videos of yours i actually felt like i knew how i have to plan for the life i have been dreaming of always. thank you for being such a big motivation. lots of love from india.

    yes definitely! I want this monthly planning. helps me become mindful of my goals, thoughts and feelings about things.
    this monthly planning has helped me a lot. made me write down and really think of realest answers to those questions. Made me aware of how I spent my month and gave me direction as to how my month would go.

    Please keep making these. I know it must be repetitive sometimes for you, but I honestly find it so helpful. It reminds me to set my goals and get involved. Thanks for inspiring me. I've been trying to initiate new positive habit stacking. So good hygiene habits and making my bed are the ones that I find super helpful right now. The hurtful ones are the old ones I'm discarding resistance like you mentioned.

    please keep doing these! this was my first time being subscribed to you when you made one of these and i completed the activity and i am so excited for a better september! august was really stressful and honestly just generally awful, and i am working to let go of that and work through it this weekend so i can start fresh and reignite my happiness in september. i'm going to restart my routines and dedicate good time to accomplishing my goals. thank you so much!

I was just looking around for this exact thing last night as I wanted to get a head start on planning out September and then here you are pulling it out of the bag for me today! I've been so much more productive and had a much clearer idea of the things I wanted and needed to get done this past month and honestly I have a LOT of that to thank you for, Aileen. Your channel and blog have acted as a guide for me, pointing me in the right directions to getting myself sorted out again, for that, I THANK YOU so darn much. Finding your content is exactly what I needed right when I needed it. :)
    Congrats on the puppy! Can't wait to see him or her when your little bundle of joy arrives. I've got a toddler and a pup with about 8 months age difference and honestly, it's like having two kids. There's really not much difference in the chaos they cause and mischief they bring. Both utterly adorable and total cuteness overload, too. So yep, you own that Pup MOMMY title because it's real. :P

I watched and write everything from your August video then complete for got to plan my month as it was already 11th when I saw this video.... but then when I saw this video, it just reminded me and now I can pre plan my month.
