    I had a 2004 Buick Electra with all the buttons, bells and whistles. One of the greatest cars I ever owned. Driving on the interstate was like being on a cloud, it rode so well and quiet. I only sold it because I couldn't justify it and my pickup since I am a widower. Whoever gets that car will never regret it.

    That RV is amazing! Little bit of work and she'd be fine! Should have the pop up tent on the outside too IIRC. 454 with 45K miles I'd imagine? That's INCREDIBLE!

    RV was kinda tricky. It didn't look great on the outside but inside looked nice. Seems most everything worked. Not bad. I'm sure it'll sell at a bargain. Enjoyed as always!

    My cousin is from Missouri, and he has had hail damage to his truck, and he was able to fix it by putting chunks of dry ice in the dents. The metal shrinks, and the dent pops out. Either that or get a 55 gallon drum of Bondo. Another possibility is one of those paintless dent removers. They have a hot glue gun, and different disks for different size dents. You may still need some dry ice to shrink the metal, as it may stretch when hit by the hail. Absolutely buy the Buick. My Son's 2001 Buick Century (3.1 engine) has about 215,000 miles and it still runs great. My friend had a Park Ave with the 3.6 supercharged engine. It went over 300,000 miles, then the transmission went out. He could have put a good used one in it, but he figured "why bother?" but the engine was still running great. They are comfortable and reliable. The Toyota probably had the fluids drained to get rid of any water. Take a socket set and a breaker bar with you. That way you can see if the engines on non running cars are frozen or not. The RV? That is so cheap, you could part it out and make money! Heck, buy it, clean it up, take a vacation in it, then sell it and you would vacation for free!!

    A hail car would be a great way to get a nice car for cheap, as long as you put some new Windows in, if you are willing to live with many dents, it would be great. You could replace the hood also and it would be hard to see the hail damage on the roof if it is a tall car like that forester.

      You can get a roof skin replacement. About $5000 in body and paint, but as you said, the bolt on parts can be done by a D.I.Y person to save some money.

      We bought a 14 focus for 3k hail damage . Few small dings and 2 windows. Only thing left is pulling carpet to clean to get musty smell out. But less than 4500 for almost new car with 51k miles👍

    Randy I bought my first Copart car today! I tried out a 2000 Honda Civic here in California, good condition for $475 but $807 in all extra fees! Is that normal?!?! I have a 2004 Infinity G35 on approval for $1150, seller countered at $1550 but I stayed solid at $1150, we'll see how it goes. I was using AutoBidMaster to purchase it, do you have any suggestions on cheaper/better Brokers?

      I like how they charge 60 bucks to bring the car out to you lol but ya fees are ridiculous with them but I think it's more bearable if you have a dealer license

    • @eatont9999
      @eatont9999 6 лет назад +2

      Just add a few hundred bucks to the price you are bidding and the sticker shock is a little more bearable. I usually assume $300 extra for anything I win under $1000.

    If the engine in the Solara is okay, they can be extremely good cars. I have an 06 with 156k and still running strong. But the 07 and 08s are known to burn a lot of oil. The dashboards are prone to cracking (mine is) but they can be really good cars.

  • @gosportjamie

    The Toyota Solara may have just had the fluids drained down as it was intended to repair it before either the insurance adjuster or the mechanic found something that sent it to Copart, but it's impossible to know so it's just not worth the risk unless you're buying it as parts for others. The Buick looks a pretty safe buy, it looks like it had a grandma or grandpa parking knock against a metal post and it certainly looks like it was taken care of, apart from the lifting dash trim, which I imagine is a very common issue with them, it's very clean all round and would certainly make someone a very decent cheap car. The RV could be a steal, the problem is having enough space to put it and the fact that apparently older RVs can be a tough sell as a whole lot of them have issues...

    Buick looks like a yes for flip as long as price stays reasonable, and the RV 100% yes. Likely has a big block under the doghouse, it's the same one that Roadkill cut up for the engine that went in The General Mayhem. (kinda explains the backfire too if it's got the same carb, the only carb that punishes you for going full throttle... Thermoquad! :D ) it's in so much better condition than theirs, they do tend to be low mileage (for reasons explained in that episode of RK also) but that one looks like it is worth every penny of 1k and more.

    The 3.8 ltr motor was a WINNER! Automakers don't like to sell automobiles that don't break down because then they don't need to buy another car! Think about it, The 3.8 was in the buick grand national, GNX (2 OF THE FASTEST PRODUCTION CARS FOR OVER 10 YEARS) ALSO, The Buick Regal, They lasted forever! The frame would rust out on models that were not garage kept & driven on the east coast, well before the drivetrain! The 3.8 is & was a winner! GM wanted repeat customers so, they stopped producing the 3.8! Some transmission issues developed in the fwd transmissions in later models but were unheard of in the rwd models!

      David Rubin , no I didn’t meant the parts or labor. But the paperwork. How expensive is paperwork process? Who can apply?

    • @davidrubin1895

    I wouldn't mind that car at 5:22 I'm more into older vehicles than that one, but personally I think it looks alright. I would like to drive a good old 70s or 80s station wagon, but I'd be afraid I would mess it up. Now something like that is still pretty common and ain't too fashionable so wouldn't be too bad if it got a little damaged. Of course I'd still take care of it. Compared to most of the cars I see on the road today, I'd rate that at 8 out of 10 in looks. (That is a matter of opinion of course.)
