- We stay at Kendal club site. A lovely unusual woodland setting with its own ruin and close to the River Kent. We visit Kendal town & castle and National Trust Sizergh Castle.
Gail used to watch 'Land of the Giants' in the 60s? Never is she old enough! I had you both as 70s babies! 😊
Both of us are true vintage 60’s 😂

Hi Rob n Gail. Not been to Kendal for quite a while. It's a lovely area. We now spend most of our time at Siloth seeing our Grandson. I like dunking biscuits but they have to Lu Biscuits for me. Thanks for sharing. Phil🙂👍

Stayed there, oo, must be over 40 years ago when our girls were very young, eldest girl is 52 now, I think it was with our tiny weeny, Mardon Classique !
We are just back from Haven at Mablethorpe, was very nice. Of course the caravan was a bit different, being a massive static! Your vid brought back some memories, thanks to both of you!
Hello Peter & Susan, We’ve just Googled your Mardon Classique and Gail remembers holidaying in her grand parents caravan in the early sixties and it looked very similar. Great video as usual Rob and Gail, I like the way you show the pitches (we always have fully serviced) and the walks from site, we've never been to this site but it looks like the type that we normally like to go to. Keep up the good work.

Been twice this year. Its a cracking site plus its handy for the lakes and not far of the M6 and only a hour and half from me. Great video Rob on the site and surrounding area

Great video Rob. We’ve done this area a couple of times but from the Meathop Fell site, so it was nice to see a another site for us to check out in the future. I bought a ten metre electric cable when I saw you use yours and I haven’t had the twenty five metre cable out of its bag all season, thanks.
Thank you very much Stephen. We stayed at and enjoyed Meathop Fell three years ago. Kendal club site is well worth a visit though, being a bit different from your usual club site. I’m pleased to hear you bought a 10m cable 👍. The last time I used the 25m cable was two years ago at Pier Cottage, Coniston and that was because we turned the caravan round to face the water. Hello Howard and thank you very much for turning in again. Cars running perfectly now 👍 thank goodness. Only half a mile of narrow lane from the A590 with a few passing places so not bad at all. Hi Rob & Gail, sunshine and short sleeves, a bonus in September! a lovely looking site with some interesting history. We have yet to visit The Lakes with our caravan, always been a bit concerned about the narrow lanes but this site doesn't look too far from the main roads. As usual, plenty of useful detail from you, especially the map view of the site in relation to the motorway and the site map with tour. 'Land of the Giants', one of our old faves! How was the phone signal on site? Sizergh Castle looks good too and not far to walk. Looks like you had a lovely break, great video, thanks for sharing. Dave & Helen
Hi Dave & Helen, We always look forward to our Lake District September holiday and over the years have always enjoyed the breath taking scenery Cumbria has to offer. The weather can be quite unpredictable but yes we’ve been very lucky. Never had a problem with the roads so far with the caravan on tow but they can be a bit winding in places. Mobile signal was good on site and we didn’t bother with the tv hook up. As for land of the giants, I can’t remember it, Gail is showing her age 🤣, I don’t remember the half crowns either !
