Many Israelis want a big war in the north, but they don't just need US approval, they need US military participation. They ran out of iron dome missiles going against Hamas. They are being resupplied but they need 10X more to defend against Hezbolla. But even if the US approved 1 full carrier battle group, the missiles that get through will cripple Israel's economy. US can not risk one of its warships being hit and seriously damaged. NATO isn't as strong as you may think lol, NATO weapons in Ukraine have been matched by Soviet Era weapons from the Russian's / Ukraine continues to lose ground.
The thing is, NATO hasn't adapted for drone warfare, they're still doing full training courses from the second world war. The US has some drone technology but not much, there is no FPV drones for example in NATO. Ukraine has been an exception here, but basically, the funding for NATO weapons for the last 30-40 years has gone into the wrong elements of development for wide-spread war.

Amazing how many people invoke the name of God and how he will come to the aid of Israel. God, my friends, is on the side of the weak and oppressed. The Bible says the meek shall inherit the earth.
It’s funny when the Israeli spokesperson was talking about sovereignty, the same people who occupied Palestine are talking about sovereignty.

Israeli damage not mention... While the north is deserted and abandoned
IDF has done this as history will recall several and many times.
What about history of concentration camps?
How does the state military (Lebanon) lose influence to the militia (Hezbollah)?
America overthrows official countries and armies, and popular resistance appears to liberate the land. Every action has a reaction, and there is no smoke without fire, and nature fears a vacuum. America occupies Syria and all countries with dozens of bases and fragments countries by creating militias and terrorism affiliated with them, starting with Iraq and Libya, Afghanistan, Sudan, Somalia...
Makram Rabah is right on all fronts, glad DW brought him on.
The statement should be phrased slightly different ly. 1st there are factions on both sides who want a big war and who don't want a big war. Israel is simply bluffing. There is also the chance that Russia has sent come advanced hypersonic missiles to Lebanon, to be used against US warships. US can not risk one of its warships being hit and seriously damaged. The myth of US military invincibliy which is already broken in the eyes of Russia, China and Iran will spread to European countries.

If Hezbollah is pinched, Iran goes in. Then international community would push them to Syria, then Turkey will enter to simply push them East to Iraq and eventually Iraq will fall...and maybe force Assad to abdicate.
