I think this is engineered very well, I'm a Journeyman welder and know how much work it would be to make this. The price is a bit steep but honestly not bad for everything you get and the engineering built into it. Great job, I really hope this takes off for you. I'd approach some outdoorsy stores and see if they would stock and sell them!
Maybe try sending free units to large youtube channels to try and get your name out there a bit, I think once it starts to gain traction it will take off

This is by far the best and easy setup sleeping platform I've seen, unfortunately, i am in Australia and i guess you don't ship so far. When you take off and hope one day i can get one in Perth, Western Australia for my 2022 Subaru Outback. By the way, can i just buy the aluminum frame and have it ship over? The rest I should be able to source it myself. Gabriel.
i have a 2006 honda cr v, and in that model the seats dont fold flush with the trunk floor, however if i take the seats out, it is flush. would this platform work in that model?

Really strange to do a deep dive on something for sale, seemingly made well, that fits multiple vehicles of different sizes, and not give a price. When selling something the price of that something is oftentimes the first question asked. Something like, "Depending on size, these range from $300-$500", would have been easy to include if you didn't want to quote exact pricing.

Hi Ken! In this vehicle I can store four bins. I'll usually use two bins that are shorter in length, and two that are longer (like the ones shown in this video).

Love the product. Any concerns with animals trying to get in through the mesh? You're in black bear country in PA, but also things like raccoons. What's your food strategy while camping? Normally my food stays locked in the car while I'm in my tent.
Hey Dan! Great question! I'm as bear conscious as the next guy... My strategy is to keep all food and scented items inside the car. When I'm in areas that I'm unsure of, I'll just crack the window 3 inches or so and still use the mesh screen. It's still plenty of airflow, but I feel more secure that way. I've spent countless nights tent camping in bear country, but now I feel way safer in my car!

I sleep on one side with gear on the other. Those hinges wouldn’t feel too good
The hinges are recessed so you don't even feel them!

Thanks Geoffrey! The entire Sleeping Platform weighs just under 40 lbs. Once it's disconnected in the middle, the front and rear portions weigh just 20 lbs each. Aluminum is an amazing material, strong and lightweight!

everyone be aware of two things. i spent 6 hours building out a sleeping platform just to use it and realize how claustrophobic if is. when you have a platform bed you get maybe an inch or two of room between your face and the ceiling. it is incredibly difficult to get out of especially in the middle of the night. also, unless you sleep with the windows open, you will run out of oxygen and wake up with a headache from breathing in your own carbon dioxide. car camping is a lot more glorious on youtube than it is in real life.
Hi, Nathan here! Having spent months camping in my car while travelling the country, car camping is by far the most comfortable form of camping I've experienced. All of the issues you ran into do have solutions, and this Sleeping Platform was designed to address your concerns. At just 7 inches tall, it offers a good amount of storage space underneath, but enough room to prop yourself up on your elbows to read a book, or even sit up in taller vehicles like a Jeep Wrangler or Toyota 4Runner. The wings curve outwards towards the door opening to make the experience of getting in and out of the car much easier, especially at night. Simply crack your windows at night and use mesh screens to increase airflow. And of course, if you don't want to spend 6+ hours trying to build your own sleeping platform, this one assembles in just 25 minutes. Hope this helps answer your car camping questions!
After six years of vanlife on various vehicles, yes, it has it's issues, but the base vehicle you start with in relation to your own size and modifications has a lot of bearing on comfort. I, personally, have never experienced clearance issues even when I gave myself low clearance intentionally. Also, vehicles have windows so ventilation *is* possible. I realize it isn't for everyone, but if you have a vehicle and bed sized to meet your needs it can be supremely comfortable.
One or two inches between ceiling & your face?? Who build a platform that high?🤣🤣
Simple solution…no platform, sleep on floor and add shelf up higher above your feet area. And/or get a pop top roof - can even add sleeping area for 4 - if you all sleep well together.
We’ve done a hybrid of pop up tent with teenager sleeping well by himself on vehicle floor.
