  • I've been hesitant to put out a video on this bait because I've wanted to keep it a secret for so long. I finally gave in.

    MY PROFILE:
I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn't have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors. I have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey...it should be an honest and fun ride!

You contine to drop the most informative videos of anyone producing fishing content!

  • @michaelc8606

Thanks for sharing. On the subject of size, I like to swim a 2" Cotton Cordell spoon, just below the surface, when the largemouth are chasing shad. And while fishing from a dock recently (for about an hour) I caught three bass, one over 4 and the other two were over 3 pounds. Small bait/big fish.

  • @DanielBoone337

The front deck of your boat when you was showing fishing footage looked like mine last weekend on Toledo. I had rods all over the place... LOL

  • @daviddenton6620

Thanks for sharing. I've been messing with them for a few years now but not very much. I did get few fish earlier this year when I committed to using the Ned but caught as many crappie as Bass.

  • @chrishampton8842

Like the Zman finesse bullet head for heavier cover applications but need to check out the owner line up

  • @robertbrost7777

I love the Ned in the cooler waters of the Fall and Winter. I have only used the ZMan Finesse TRD though. It sounds like you get plenty of fish with the Ocho but, I like the fact that the TRD stands straight up and, I feel like that action is unbeatable.

  • @WILDBILLSOUTDOORS

Thanks for sharing, I've been hard headed, I need to get me some ned rigs!

  • @johnmango6056

I like the weedless blockhead but the 1/16 owner finesse football head is my favorite for small creatures and Ned baits. The 45° vertical line makes it come through grass so well it’s absurd. Its completely replaced my traditional shaky heads as well.

  • @mikeantes9597

Thanks Todd hope all is well .I have been going back and forth with my set ups.I use 15# braid to 10# sniper . The spinning rods I go back and forth with are,med /hvy or med / lite .I feel the lighter power cast a little better, but not much backbone fighting fish.Really like the med / hvy for handling like you said. What would you recommend ?Middle ground with a med.?

  • @freddiefrisse2248

You need to give a Baby Menace a try on your Ned rig. They are lethal for me. The blue craw with red flake is my go to for the Ned. The regular sized Menace in M.M. Moonlight is my year around go to for everything....Carolina Rig, Texas rig, shakey head, jig trailer, and a swing head. That dark purple just catches fish almost all year around

  • @stevenbrown7560

I still have a hard time believing this but a ned rig was the most consistent bait this summer night fishing for me. How they find it the dark blows me away.

  • @mikegardiner3934

Hey Todd! I’m a finesse guy at heart, so love the Ned. My problem is I have too many baits. lol. However is the spring my fav is trd bugz on a ewg 1/8. I like owner blockhead, but my fav is the Flatlands tackle ewg.

  • @bassfishingchadhill

Best straight up video on Ned Rig. I learned a ton. One questions, in cover, why a Ned over a shaky head? Is it just personal preference?

  • @Scottster_

Todd, so what you're saying is, stock up on the Owner offset Blockhead. Since you're letting the cat out of the bag, they will soon be on backorder like the Haymaker... 😜

  • @tonyrubaszewski6811

Great video... What size box you use for your soft plastic ned lues?

  • @jimk4267

Looking at the Pro TI rods. I prefer a 6'10" rod. Can you give us your explanation of 'fast' vs. 'extra fast' and how the 6'10" differs from the 7'0"

  • @maxcole3930

My go to for ned rig is a micro tube on a swing head ned. They almost always bite that no matter what situation is. Don't throw small baits like that alot though. Rather catch a big on a swimbait...

  • @henrykelsey5569

Looks like I'll be rigging a baby dbomb just like that thanks brother oh one more thing ........ I guess I've been living under a rock I never knew mark Zona fished for team lews awesome

  • @richardbumpuscjf347

I reel that ocho through the water column , really slow, for smallmouth. They just load up on it. Seems like, on my lake, they want to hit something moving.

  • @Mjones8383

Love the videos and I am learning a ton, but i would like more on the water teaching if you can.
