I remember it took me three days to defeat Cervantes when I was a teenage girl. I didn't eat, I didn't sleep. I only went to the bathroom a few times. My cousins had to drag me out from the game room and pulled my hair. I got all the endings, but Siegfried for some reason was so difficult.
Yoooo, this takes my back to the 90's! Seeing all the endings brings back so many memories of this awesome game. The hardest grind for me was getting everybody's weapons in Edge Master Mode. Thank you for uploading this!
Man, I just realized there were alternate endings. When I was a kid I used to play this and I usually got the bad endings, I wish I had known about this a long time ago.
Yeah, the problem about these old games are they don't give you a full manual. For me though, I know there are multiple endings back then and out of curiosity I unlocked Siegfried's good ending.
Depends on the ending. Generally you have to push a button at the right time. The game has a moment in each ending where the black 'movie bars' at the top and bottom of the screen disappear, they're edited out for most of these - but you can see it with a few, like Voldo' at 30:55 for example, except Mitsurugi, there you have to play a simple minigame to dodge bullets. There aren't any consequences of pressing a wrong button, so you can spam all of them if you don't want to risk failing it. For example, as Siegfried, you have to input a vertical strike when he's walking up to soul edge to destroy it instead of picking it up.
During the cutscene, when the black bars disappear, press triangle, directional buttons or any combination to get the endings. Mitsurugi is the only one with a minigame though.
Technically so does Voldo, you have to make rub soul edge so fast that it shatters. But yeah the rest are a sequence of 2 Buttons took me a visit to a "cheat" site to get all after I stumbled on a few, took 6 attempts to get Seung Mina s

There technically is no bad ending for Taki, Sophetia, and Sueng Mina.

Li Long came back in Soul Calibur 3 (I think it was) but in that game he dual wielded 2 nunchaku instead of just using 1 like in SoulEdge

The unlockable character Soul Edge also had an ending, but only one version, a bad ending but one of the eeriest for its time
