I’m so envious,I was born in 1964 but my favourite music will always be the ‘40's & ‘50’s ,plus the fashion.Thanks to the influence of my parents 🙏🏻🕯 I love looking at photos of my parents when they were young,in Ireland.They look like film stars with their style of dress. Today’s fashion is so sloppy and unflattering.

First time I heard of Prima was when an old Italian waitress got a new car and took a bunch of us younger waitress' out for a ride. Old Rosie had Prima blasting as she could hardly see over steering wheel. We were going crazy bopping all over her new car. From that day on I've loved Prima and knew what a cool chic old Rosie was. God rest your soul Rosie, you'll always be remembered.

When I was a young girl I wore his album out in the 60's. These songs were tops in our household, my parents loved his music.He was the greatest entertainer. I can still hear my Dad singing his songs. Maiden name DiDomenico.

Mmmm sorry, bubble bursting. They're miming to the LP here. You can hear the horns but they aren't playing... and they cut Louie's horn solo out. His mic movements don't match the audiok, and the lipsync isn't quite there. Good but ;) Tech trickery has always been around :)

I'm 'only' 61 but I remember my late parents listeming to this and OH BOY could they Jive man!!! Dad used to throw mum up in the air and do spins and twirls - swing was great. Its time for a BIG SWING REVIVAL!!!! Thank you Louis for the music

He was from the State of Louisiana. Just like LOUIS ARMSTRONG who he admired very much. He 'streamlined' his voice so that it would ascended towards THE GREAT LOUIS. Reason also why he opted for the TRUMPET just like his BIG FAVORITE!!

That's Gia Maione in the video, and she didn't join Louis Prima's band until 1962. In 1956, she would have been 15 years old. This is a cut from Louis Prima's album, "The Wildest!" released in that year (1956) with Keely Smith singing backup, so this performance is from a later date.
NONETHELESS, this is a great clip, and I'm grateful to be able to see Louis and his band in action! Thank you for posting.
