Like the Cello and/or Double bass part with the left hand and playing each verse for times each, with the typical string quartet arrangement, for piano, too, for the full 6 minuites and something, most?
Of all the nice Pachelbel Canon piano versions I've listened to, this was the one I had to learn how to play. Thank you Mr. Galloway for such a beautiful arrangement. You're awesome, dude
My husband likes Canon in D so much that I decide to learn how to play it. I've seen various arrangements of this master piece and finally I think I've found the best version. Thank you Mr. Galloway.
Agree... I bought the score from musicroom... it is being delivered today...I already learned a bit from a printed score (it was incomplete) and slightly rearranged...so I wanted THE Lee Galloway arrangement! Looking forward to learning it...
9/2024 So beautiful. When I had a piano, I tried and tried- could finally play most of it - but had to have the music in front of me. I love your arrangement!!❤
Been listening to this version since for over 15 years and I keep coming back. I first came across it in a CD of some music that was included in a book called "Annals of the World"
Of several arrangements I listened to, this is the best version. Period! I’m over 70 a beginner on piano. I just started learning this one. Love it! Thank you, Mr. Galloway!
When I listen to this (which has been at the very least 100 times) my heart weeps. It just tugs at the tears. So beautiful. So powerful. So pure. Thank-you.
To listen to this version with your eyes closed is to imagine a shower of diamonds moving in a delicate, sun-drenched air. It's as delicate as a dewdrop swaying on a stem in the morning. It is as beautiful as a dawn mist caressing the curves of a valley.
Beautiful playing and beautiful arrangement, Lee !! Congratulations on all you've accomplished since we were high school classmates together back in the early 1960s. Best - Phil Jones
Notice how when anyone else plays this on the left hand they need to cross their index finger over the thumb to hit the top note of the inverted chords. This guy's hands are so big he can play it with his thumb.
I loved your arrangement so much that it made me wanted to learn to play a piano. I started learning this song as my first song through the Synthesia app and Jane's video tutorials on RUclips four months ago and finally finished the whole song. Still making mistakes here and there but with time, I'm sure I will finally master it. Quite happy that I can play at least a song on a piano. No, I still can't read sheet music yet, but I may start learning it some time in the future. Thank you very much!
This is by far the best rendition of this version of the song I've heard on RUclips. Everyone else has a robotic quality to it, or plays it way too fast. The tempo and the dynamics were absolutely perfect. Beautiful job!!!
After listening to so many others play your arrangement Lee, it is so nice to hear and see you doing it. Now it will be here forever for all to enjoy. Thank you.... Semper Fidelis. ...Rick
It an amazing song, and it has a really beautiful interpretation by Lee Galloway. The only way with which you can play this song is that you sit down and play this incredible song !!! Good luck ;)
This version is hands down to best. I have to learn this on guitar. Usually my favourite part of Canon is the part starting at 0:53, but in this arrangement it's hands down the parts beginning at 1:55 and 2:23 (especially the latter). This should be called Pachelbel, Perfected. Unbelievable.
Ooo My Gish.. Ive got this track on MP3 format and its fantastic , Even more so when you search and find its by Lee Galloway and then watch the Video. Thanks Mr Galloway. Love it,
I love your version of Canon in D. I am trying to learn to play this beautiful music and like others say, there are so many versions to play that it gets very confusing which one to learn from. I shall now look for your sheet music on this. Thank you for your video.
I am learning this arrangement and have watch so many cover on youtube. Until now I can tell this is by far the effortless arrangement. Nothing come close
This is the best canon improvisation of all time! You are so admirable! Only a true music genious like you can write such beautiful masterpiece! Im learning this song and I'm 3/4 on my way!
that was a very nice job sir. i wish somehow i could get the music from you for that exact pice you played. every note. it was a version, with style ive never heard before. im having the worst day of my life it seems, and this made me see that i can make it through today, and there is a lot of beauty out there still. thankyou good sir. an angel helped me find this, for my sake.
This is the one interpretation that doesn't sound way too cheesy, preserves just enough that classic feel of the origial Canon in D. I always feel Canon in C sounds dimmed and subdued.
This melody instantly became one of my favorites long ago. Other versions I have listened are nice too. But this arrangement stands out for me. It is very calming. And invites a certain reverence because it also does not end in a rush. It’s beautifully put together. Thank you Mr. Galloway.
No version of Cannon in D is better than your version. No one in the whole world can play Cannon in D more beautiful than you. YOU ARE THE BEST!
Like the Cello and/or Double bass part with the left hand and playing each verse for times each, with the typical string quartet arrangement, for piano, too, for the full 6 minuites and something, most?
It is great . One might beat this beauty…..check out the Brooklyn Duo version
Umm i can play it too
