Fantastic topic guys, and very well covered. We're currently in French Polynesia and have started really thinking about how we want to tackle SE Asia. Throughout your time there, you've made it incredibly enticing and we are very excited for the upcoming adventure. Thank you for being such a great source of motivation and inspiration!
Cruisers should not be put off by fear of trouble in Indonesia as you says nicely. The best approach is to be sensible, cautious, careful, polite, and to be aware that not all people everywhere in the world are nice. Talk to the locals, you will find they often offer comments on when and where to be extra careful.
When I’ve got problems with currents I just pick up my spoon and rearrange them in my muesli to make them palatable 😊!… Envious of your adventures, that’s a given… Stay safe guys! Jamie did you pass with your photos that you thought were slightly blurred a while ago then?
Hi Steve. I didn't submit them in the end, but please do look out for my presentation this Sunday. Check out the next video, which we'll publish early for more details. It's free!
@@followtheboat Hi guys it’s a blue ferro ketch it’s for sale in Medana I’m in Brisbane at the moment looking at buying ;do you know anything about it cheers Mic/Jo
@@followtheboat hi again Liz the man that fixed your rudder would you recommend him as a surveyor as we have spoken to Soraya the ladies in the Medana Marina office ; or can you suggest someone in this marina ? Sorry to bother you whilst your underway Kind regards Michael and Jo
As always, a great talk. I'll never make it to Asia but i love hearing you guys talk. A question if i may: what is your legal residence? U.K.? I ask because of taxes. If you pay English taxes it must hurt especially because you, as expatriates, get little or nothing in return in social services. Signed, Curious in California. (I won't be offended if you reply Dear Nosy in North America...😊) Best regards.
We never know where we will be, so it just made more sense to carry on paying taxes in the UK. We don't begrudge paying for education, health and social services. 🙏 Liz
Love listening but uggghh... that image behind you has some strange imaging probably due to either my monitor (large Samsung TV), your camera (unlikely) or the bug screen and/or the water behind you. Just immediatly causes a weird sea sickness when watching. Not sure if you ntoiced it but I thought I would mention it.

Our pleasure. You've got some exciting times ahead of you. Fair winds!

Thanx for the beutifull podcast.
Thanks for listening and watching, we're glad you enjoyed it. Liz 🙏
Can’t you carry some sort of stream water testing kit or don’t they exist
Yes, they exist. But in Indonesia the population is so dense that only a very small number of streams could be considered safe, if any.

Sorry, we're half way across the Java Sea on our way to Malaysia. Which yacht, we may know it? Liz

This is an audio podcast distributed through Spotify etc. The video is just a bonus.
