Pu Luong Nature Reserve is located in Ba Thuoc districts of Thanh Hoa province, in the north of Vietnam. Pu Luong Nature Reserve is bordered by Lac Son, Tan Lac and Mai Chau districts of Hoa Binh province The nature reserve is situated between two parallel mountain ranges, that run from north-west to south-east, and are divided by a long central valley, which contains several villages of the local people and a large land area for agriculture, therefore, Pu Luong is not only for its important nature reserve but also is known for its great biodiversity.
