This was really helpful. I really needed to hear this one. I've had trouble saying no for pretty much my entire life. As a result, I've often times been indirectly inconvenienced or have found myself doing things I didn't want to do, for the sake of not disappointing others. It's a difficult thing to do, but definitely something we all need to be able to do. I've noticed through my practice of this that I have gained more respect from others. And those who may have gotten disappointed when I first started saying no, now have developed a level of respect and understand that my decision is not due to hate or resentment or anything, but more so that I have a good reason for saying so. Some who challenged this before are now more accepting.

This came at just the right time. I’m working on “no” and “uncommitting” from certain things.
