I have recently started to make videos.. I am passionate about it.. just started uploading from 10th July.. I have noticed one thing, some of my shorts just stop getting views after 400-450.. I don't understand why 400-450? Why not 350 or 550? I clicked your video just because of that..
I used RUclips Shorts to blow my main channel up. Took me 5 months to reach 100k subscribers. I just got my checkmark and the silver play button is on its way to my house. I posted 4 shorts per week the first 3 months and then went to 2 per week. Now, I'm planning on adding in some long form content to boost the income (I am also using a bit of Famester as it was a real game-changer for my channel).
I think it is a strategy RUclips uses for beginners, mine can have views quicker and I know that it will stop around 400. In fact some of the videos stopped at less than 200 after about an hour. Only few went over 2000. I’ve decided to only keep posting and to keep getting subscribers. The future will tell.

Nah half my shorts stop getting views at like exactly 400, and they don’t spike, they slowly get view then stop completely, a have another channel and I have never seen it happen before, I find it very weird
@@IFooked-xv1yf ok so there is a certain percent of view to swipe ratio that make you get 1k recommended but because of the percentage you only get 400 views, in other words, make better video/hooks
I'm so glad you mentioned tags. People keep saying that they don't matter but in reality RUclips's algorithm doesn't know what your video is about with just the description or the title it needs the tags to figure out what your video is about

This is one of the best most helpful videos I have seen. I was wondering why the views weren't higher given I'm subbed to vidiq tubebuddy etc., but yours was the best. The thumbnail was very off-putting fyi. If not for the title, and if it hadn't auto played I prob would've missed this. The video was really good! Try a lighter color or something, get that thumbnail😁👍.

my shorts are 35 to 40 second long and 90 out of 35 shorts have 80+ audience retention with 70+ view ratio and some have 80+ view ratio,my channel is 3 months old but only 1 short got 7 million views and other are stuck at between 10 to 20k views,, my lifetime view ratio is above 80 percent and my viral short is 43 second long with 89% audience retention and 83% view ratio when i upload new video they stuck at 10 to 15k views 😢😢😢 Whats wrong with my channel plz tell me

I see people say they get psuhed in 6 hours time, but meaby it can take a couple days to get in shorts feed?
One little question, how hard can it be if I just began promoting my vídeos outside YT entirely? Yes, you can. Go to your videos and click on the 3 dots to the right of the particular short. In the menu that pops up, go to edit and that takes you to a screen where you can add a description, tags etc. All the best to you!

Can I revive my dying channel with RUclips shorts and be a shorts RUclipsr forever? Because based on my experience, I once changed my content which was originally short to long form content and it killed my channel without a trace. This was happen to my other channel, i upload my recent video on shorts and it gained 430 views within 15hours but it stop after reaching on the no. I said, i have 10 short videos and 8 out of 10 their views are in 400+ ,thats the pattern that i notice .
My swipe away is 48.5% and retention is 2%, this data is on my latest video upload, i understand my videos are not well edited thats why its not interesting for others, im still reasearching on how to edit videos that will hook on the viewrs on the 3 second on my video

Be careful youtube knows that you are watching your video by this metric. If it's not a loop video ideally it shall not be over 100%

Yes, you can. Go to your videos and click on the 3 dots to the right of the particular short. In the menu that pops up, go to edit and that takes you to a screen where you can add a description, tags etc.

Im in this group as well getting only 400 - 500 views within the first hour then it falling off but what confused me was I usually get 2 or 3 subscribers from the short, which threw me. Now i know, ao back to the drawing board for me. 👍
Same. It makes 0 sense. 500 views in an hour is plenty yet no views after that hour. My first 100 shorts wouldn't get less than 1 or 2k views. It just stopped 1 day and now 400 is what it caps at no matter what.

Can I revive my dying channel with RUclips shorts and be a shorts RUclipsr forever? Because based on my experience, I once changed my content which was originally short to long form content and it killed my channel without a trace. I just wanted to do this experiment and I'm working on improving my video editing. It turns out it works only in retention which increases between 70 - 87 percent. But I'm still having problems. the views in my channel always stop at 11k views or 7.9k views. is there something wrong?

My swipe away is 48.5% and retention is 2%, this data is on my latest video upload, i understand my videos are not well edited thats why its not interesting for others, im still reasearching on how to edit videos that will hook on the viewrs on the 3 second on my video

Nothing, be happy that you are getting up to 10,000 impressions better than 400 or less. Keep recording and one day you will exceed that score.
