I remember seeing these cars on the road in the early to mid 70s in northeast Ohio. Most were seen with the rear quarter panels rusted away like a cancer. It would be nothing to see a muscle car in the 70s being driven to grocery stores in the winter as many were purchased as primary drivers. If only people knew back then what we know today. What a beautiful Dodge Coronet. My mom and dad had a 68 Coronet my dad bought brand new in 68. By 76 it was rusted out from 8 years of winter driving but it was our family car after he traded in his 58 Plymouth Sport Fury to buy the 68 Coronet.
My brother had a 1969 Dodge Coronet RT 440 4 speed. Same red color with black vinyl top and red interior. He bought it in 1971 and sold it 2 years later. To this day I haven’t seen that same color combo as he had.
383 was the shot !! Partner came back from Nam had one took it down to Atco drag way installed a six pack and had it camed up that's odd about the numbers seams like everybody I knew were running 4 speed's

That looks really nice. As you walked around i was thinking is he going to show that big paint chip on the door, funny it was just a moth.
Same exact steering wheel I had in my 69' Road Runner I owned way back when.
Same exact instrument panel I had too except for the nameplate and woodgrain.

frame off restored? B Bodies do not have frames. Nice car. Thanks for sharing.
sounds so damn good
Engine sounds like a roadrunner
because dodge and plymouth are owned by chrysler, so they share the same engines

As in... mopar?
That's an Awesome looking Machine , You could be Dodge Material !
Nice.. but why does a Coronet 500 have the side scoops? Isn't that superbee.. coronet should just have the 2 cuts on rear fenders.. right?
It was an option in 1969 for Super Bee, R/T, and 500

Gotcha..
I have a 69/500 myself!

Whats the difference between the 69' coronet 500 and the Super Bee?
Taillights, grill, interior, the 500 was an up-option model.
The 500 didn't come standard with a performance package
About $50k in value 😅
Can anyone out there explain why 1969 dodge coronets come with 2 different dashboards in reference to the gauges.
There was a standard dash and the optional rally dash ( 68- 70 B body).
Dad had one i hated it couldn't see over the dash 😂
What's the price
