- Given the joint distribution for two variables (e.g. X and Y), learn how to find and interpret the conditional distribution of Y given a fixed value of X.
Video 1 on conditional distributions.
Thank you for your videos! I am an actuarial science major in college and I am preparing for my first actuarial exam, and even though I have learned the material before your videos help me out a lot by refreshing and relearning content. Genuinely, thank you 😄
Hey, the audio is too low. Please rectify this on the rest of your videos. Thanks.
I have a PhD in Systems Engineering and a Masters in Math
You are the most effective Professor in this subject. The subject introduces 5 pounds of new terminology which is difficult to put together (other than to memorize, without understanding).
From beginning to end, this subject is more difficult than Quantum Mechanics.
I hope that Prof. Knudson gets this message.
I create my summary sheets based on your tables. I love it!
your videos are on point and crisp plus your way of teaching and the way videos are laid down is simply beautiful! You just need more support your content quality is great, I hope it reaches to you. Please continue this you are helping several students like me out there. Thank you so much, bless you!
I believe this is going over the conditional density, not the conditional distribution. The conditional distribution (of y given some x) is the integral of the conditional density with respect to y. The terms are so similar it's easy to confuse them, and it's important to note the distinction. The density is P{Y>=y}, the distribution is P{Y
volume is a little low? great video
