Not just auto, frauds are rising in every area of life!
very true
@@LuckyLopez777 Our system is now 100% fraudulent.
Absolutely.... fraud corruption and collusion. Damn near Everything ...
Starts at the top
Like right here, Lucky Lopez is a scumbag streching out this crap to 10 minutes just so he can put more ads onto it!!!!!!
What *isn't* a scam in 2024?
Chipotle , McDonalds, stormy Daniel’s , housing , crypto , Ftx, extended service warranty
This smiley face -->😂 lol
Your paternity test........
Everything else is.
Especially here in Las Vegas
Bobby. You can always trust Bobby.
So a family shows up to sell all four of 'their' cars at the same time. Happens every day...no red flags at all. SMH
Yep.
I’ve bought a lot of cars from people locating. It happens a lot
That does happen on a normal basis, especially with military families that move on a semi-regular basis.
I agree. Anyone having that many cars in good condition would seem odd.
Really that was stupid to believe that ..
Its worse than most people think. Scams are extremely high!
Facts!!!!!
That's what the Indian guy by the name Joe Smith tried to disprove on the phone yesterday. Too bad he doesn't know not to hustle a hustler.
Seems like the entire world is ripping off each other. Good thing I’m already broke.
thats funny 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
I swear
That’s funny dude. I’ve been there before. Keep on trying to get ahead my friend
As Bob Dylan said, “If you ain’t got nothing, you ain’t got nothing to lose”
The United States used to be a "high trust society" where we could reasonably assume that the other parties involved in normal transactions were on the up and up. No longer.
If only we had had a warning from someone, maybe an artist, soldier, etc., who had some insight as to what was planned for western nations say.....80yrs ago when better choices could have been made on our part. But alas, we didn't. There was no one who saw this coming. 🤔
With the illegal immigration it’s going to get worse.
Used to be.. Crisis came, shady people from around the world moved in, leftism arose and impunity became normal.
After seeing what dealers have done to people for years, I will never ever ever ever feel bad for a dealer getting screwed. Let’s be honest the guy thought he was getting a great deal and just took it.
It's a shame....honesty and integrity should be the bare minimum that we expect from and offer to each other.
Don't forget to write to the Nigerian prince so he also knows.
True. But that's not going to happen in a society where people have kids by strangers.
Discipline and integrity is a rare combo
People need to understand USA today and even 10 years ago it's completely different countries. I moved form East Europe 15 years ago and I can see all this crime from past now all over US
Excellent video content and ur 100% correct we are in a recession and have been for a while!!
Thanks 🙏
Often, the VIN on the frame and the VIN on the OBD computer will not match. Every time, the car is stolen.
And VIN swapping is not always on exotics. Regular cars can have it, too.
Most cars. But if all the computers have that same vin. Red flag
I wish someone could explain to me why the insurance keeps going up😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
more and more cars keep getting stolen, owners go to insurance which has to compensate them the actual cash value of the car at the time of theft, insurance companies spending more than usual thus they increase insurance price per month/6 months/year for everyone else
@@ObiWanKenobi-Ben- Owners are hiring people to steal the cars that dealers sold them at an inflated price. now it's dealer's turn to feel pain. Dealers are the ones wo buy an sell stolen/flooded cars.
The small mom and pop car lot that got scammed did not think about why the cars were too cheap. Goes back to if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Alarms should have went off in their thinking to do more investigating before handing over any money.
The cars weren't cheap, the dealer was asked to make an offer on them, and they paid a lot for them.
People with good knowledge of this business (like you Lucky) could start an insurance business specializing in title fraud, just like that in the real estate market when it began to experience title issues and fraud. The economy gets worse = more desperate people.
Agreed the economy sucks and inflation is still thru the roof
Full employment, 3.2% inflation, and multiple new highs in the markets, that's a recession? Where were you in 1972?
Love your content Lucky, learned alot from your channel. Keep the great content coming!
I can't imagine how auto fraud could actually get worse!
It's simple, technology is making it cheaper and easier to create anything you want and the government systems are way to old and antiquated to update, thus there's more room for fraud. In California if you know where to go you can just go to the register and write your name on any house you want and now you own it according to the state.
@@leos3003if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. The county recorder doesn’t check titles and deeds in CA? And gets no kickback?
I wish I had empathy, but its a cold world and that's not a loss its a lesson learned. Mark Cuban said in 2017" always look for the fool in the deal. If you don't find one, it's you."
I like that lol
Mark Cuban is often the fool
"And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold."

Thanks for sharing this info my guy‼️‼️🎯💯
If Mannheim could somehow determine the cars were stolen, and it didn't take them long, why didn't the dealer use the same facility?
Are the stolen cars returned to their rightful owners?
When cars are stolen. Depends on state it would take a while for them to pop up in a database
Yes stolen property always goes back to the owner. That's why they look for it.
Well lucky, if you have a good education, my son just graduated from Stanford, and just got hired in Atlanta @$140k/ year plus a 12% bonus 1st year, when he starts at HBS next year he will do better, and he is only 22, that Vegas lifestyle is all about the come up, you embody that 100%, I am glad my son does not
Hey lucky listening from Fort Worth Texas keep up the good work brother keep telling the truth
That’s messed up! Dealerships should have immediate access & a dedicated number they can call in to get direct assistance from the DMV/ MVA.
Government doesn't really care, they just have to run the records, and they don't care how fast the system updates.
You’re a good man lucky!
Thanks

3 weeks ago I got sent for a loop I'm out of colorado a bought a newer 2021 truck had a Texas title I did a carfax checked the title and the Vin on the truck everything looked good called the county in Texas said the Vin wasn't showing up as stollen went to my local dmv to get it registed everything was looking good until a certified Vin check was done the truck was stollen the title was real but didn't belong to the truck was a duplicate
Great and timely video, thank you Sir!
Thanks for watching
And don’t get attached to any car. Cuz the scammers, when u tell them u need to do ur due diligence…”oh I have three other people looking at the car….no time for that….”.
Don’t fall for it!
A lot of them are Venezuelan too. There’s another scam of “please can you buy me baby food?” No baby in sight and they usually have a male around to try to steal your wallet, well I beat her husband up and down a Walmart for trying that on me, they target blue collar workers the most because we are rolling around in 60,000$ trucks and yet these people feel the need to do this because they know the cops don’t do anything here, husband arrested etc so… just saying as a warning help no one now a days.
I just reviewed my 2020 Bingo card and I do not have "VIN fraud" listed, so I should be okay.
Thanks, LL! It's crazy. My Utility Trailer was stolen last year. I'd been watching for it on FBM and CL. No luck so far! But, I am amazed how many vehicles... cars, trailers, rvs are for sale out there on these sites with no title. And they get purchased. Next UT, I invest in digital tracking devices... and a bag of rattlesnakes.
Yeah the stolen car flip BS. Ive seen this in Oklahoma as well and my dealer state in Kansas.
Dodge is synonymous with Fraud
Thank you!
Thanks for the update Lucky 👍
Any time!
What wonderful and sobering info. THANKS! I know I'll be careful. Happens in real estate too. Divorced guy shows up for closing with a "fake" wife pretending to be the real wife with phony ID, closes the transaction, When the real ex wife (whose name was on deed) finds out the new owners lose everything.
That's what title insurance is for.
@@crankychris2 Title insurance protects the LENDER not the buyer unless the buyer buys their own policy. I do that in every transaction as it is an option for the buyer.
pro tip get a OBD scanner that can show you the VIN number on the ECU, I went to look at a truck when we hooked the scanner up noticed the VIN on ECU didn't match the title, the seller was acting sketchy and that was what reinforced my decision to run away from that deal!
good tips, thanks!
What about asking for their insurance policy on the vehicles? If the sellers don’t have insurance, that’s a red flag. The county tax assessor should also have the license plates and VINs. You could call the tax assessor to see if the seller is registered for those vehicles in the county they live in.
Love your style brother 🤙
Is copart safe to buy without checking the dmv? I look forward to buy cars there
Cars have always been a target for scammers and fraudsters. I don't buy cars unless I see a title and current registration. I don't mess with those guys who say, "oh it's out of the system crap". I tell them ok, let me know when you get it back in the system and I'll buy it.
Same here license title registration vins need to match updated insurance etc. Mom and pops like this will overlook anything for a good deal. It’s the fast money quick flip lifestyle.
Lmfao I got my lien released after paying my car off and the bank lady gave me lien release paper and I couldn’t help but just stare at it and think “ is this a joke? This looks like a regular piece of paper I can just print out”
I have been buying cars for the last 12 years for my business, this is what I learned:
Texas: small dealers have deals but 99% of time, the odometer is rolled back or some serious scam is going on.
Florida: the worst at hidden fees
You can double check lien releases by calling the lender and/or reviewing the loan documents, including verifying real payments were made (bank account statements canceled checks, etc).
Yes. But some won’t give you the info on the phone
Then maybe have the seller get the lender on the phone and/or have the seller provide a 3rd party authorization form.
Got 23 old CRV with 309,000 miles on it. Let’s make it a deal 😂❤
How about $50, a little bag of crack, and a pistola? Seems fair to me. Let's Make A Deal! 👍
Have you made a video recently on car insurance?
So, how did the “sellers” get away with the $200k? Did they deposit the check in a bank account under an alias? I can’t imagine they could withdraw $200k cash without raising a lot of suspicion! Just seems like there should be a way to track these folks down!
There is but most police do not have the resources or inclination.
@@bigal6684 Only if its tax fraud they find the time . 😞
The cops don't care. They'd rather devote resources to writing traffic tickets and generate revenue for their department. Policing in the USA is a business. This is why they investigate drug dealing so extensively.. because theres usually a pot of gold at the end of those investigations.
@@bigal6684 If the money transferred to another state, it might be worth asking the FBI to get involved!
@@bigal6684 My buddys shop had over $100k stolen in a smash and grab. He found the people a week later, turned everything over to the cops and they wouldn't even look at it.
Fraud and scammers surge during market tops. The reason? There is too much free and lose money floating around. Just think of all the people that ripped of the American tax payer by getting PPP covid loans than they bought expensive cars for themselves. Their employees never saw a dime of those PPP loans. There are so many of those it will take 20 years to catch just half of them. It's not going to matter companies are going to start going under at just an increasing rate from here on out and once we crack... the down slide is going to last 2 to 3 years. Almost no one is ready for that.
Most used cars are nothing but trouble across a whole variety of different levels.
My 2016 Ford F-150 was stolen last month my insurance paid me . I’m having problem trying to by New Ford Bronco for the advertised online price. Should I use a broker don’t mind buying used thanks
I would shop out of your area I’ve seen them cheaper in some parts of the Midwest
Thanks Sir.
I love your channel. Questions your comment about the economy. Where are you getting your numbers from? In my location of the United states, I have been searching for full-time associates for the past 6 months. My biggest obstacle is the education of the people who applying for the positions.
That's not the result of bad economy. That's a result of inadequate education combined with entitlement.
Is there such a thing as escrow for car purchase?
Can you please make a video on people scamming on Facebook over fake car ads I just got scammed out of 300$ deposit. These people are getting so good at it.
Can you do a current status on Carvana? Are they the next used car dealer to go under?
Lots of guys on Facebook offering cars at too-good-to-be-true prices (one was a near perfect 2012 Accord for $2500). I don't know what the scam is, tho, because I never contact these guys.
Dealers don't go to the DMV when they buy cars private party because they don't need to register the cars in their dealer's name.
Would any type of surety bond cover either the dealer that is stiffed or a consumer being stiffed, assuming the dealer didn't know about the fraud?
Yes Also their insurance
Is it fishy to have someone ask for a photo of your title and registration? Selling my Tacoma on market place and I feel like they are trying to duplicate my info/title or something. I sell about 5 cars a year private party in cali. Ps also has someone trade me a f150 that ended up being stolen a week later for my clean title corvette. Scams are everywhere it’s wild
Is it safe to buy from auctions ?
Furniture store fraud is going up as well
I have no idea what you said good luck
Hey, as far as your buddy, who lost a two hundred grand did he have the vehicles insured by an insurance company? Because if the vehicles were legally insured, even though sold stolen if they were registered, the insurance company has to pay out in full.
how did he get titles to those vehicles if stolen and if he gave them a check without shame on them
In Miami the new thing is fake MSO’s
MSO?
Do you need any help with your software by any chance ? Just graduated college with a tech degree and I’m currently looking for opportunities.
What happens if the ECU was legitimately replaced?
Then it should have the real vin programmed into it
We program the mileage/hours from the old one.
@@OtisFlint That's an easy way to commit odometer fraud without being caught, Thanks for sharing. 💗
Can we get an update on your opinions on Carvana? Their stock and earning reports have been rosey but it seems like a scam. The stock has gone from $3 to $140 since the end of last year.
No pink slip? I’m confused 1:47
Buyer beware! ... It's true for cars and women. 😮
Fraud will become the new hustle
Is this really a problem for cars in the 30kish price range? I’m in the market for a 2023 Acura Integra and I am thinking about getting it from CarMax. It seems like the risk vs reward ratio wouldn’t make it worth it for the thieves in my low price range.
You’d be surprised how often cheaper cars get stolen and resold. There are some cheaper OBD scanners that can check the VIN number on the computer. Creader 3001 and Ancel AD410 are two such scanners.
It used to be only expensive cars now it’s on cars under 20k
Most people don't have over 200K worth of paid off cars. That would have made me suspicious as hell but bro thought he was about to make a quick 30K flipping them at an auction. Easy come, easy go.
Fake cars, who knew!?
crazy stuff

Title needs to be brought into question on auto sales. Time to start icing deals or putting this shit into escrow until things can be ultra verified
How do you?
Fake a title and how long did the pickup on the card?Is there any paperwork on the original this Texas?Dealer was asleep.Shame on him.Hope they arrest the sellers
For me when a deal is too good. I call Metro and have them come inspect the car. It's worth it to me to have the cops check it
Damn

Lucky, do you guys refinance?
I don’t but I would look at pen fed. Navy fed
In Florida, illegals are buying vehicles with their foreign passports, and no drivers licenses. They are able to insure and “REGISTER” these vehicles with their foreign passports as well. But again, they are driving without a drivers license. The state of Florida is aware of this loophole in the law and good old Ronnie is doing nothing about it!! Ocala Florida is a huge hub for these illegals to buy and register their vehicles at dozens of buy here Pay here dealers. And of course, these are high mileage. Beat up crashed vehicles being sold at crazy prices.!!!! What a disaster!
Are these dealers buying from the auctions and selling it at dealerships in Ocala? I wanted to get into buying and selling at the auctions there but with legit cars
Wouldn't it be cool if someone could actually close the border so Ronnie and other governors wouldn't have to be dealing with this shit? Just a crazy thought.
@@ramfan5149 it’s never gonna happen. It’s quite the opposite. They’re going to keep inviting foreigners into our country so they can take up the $10 per hour jobs. Welcome to the new communist system in the United States of Amexican!!!!
And when they hit you, they have no insurance.
What's it like expecting a politician to do everything for you? To literally live expecting someone else to fix everything around you as well as your life for you? Seriously? When everything falls apart (and it's already started) people like this are going to have an incredibly difficult time surviving.

How do I safely sell my car?
Sell it to Carmax or carvana. They will over pay you for it

I have to admit..... I've bought a few cars without titles. It was years ago, but clearly something was shady. I didn't want to know, didn't ask questions. Parted them out, chopped up what was left and took to the scrap yard in small pieces. I have no idea if they were up for repo/stolen, didn't want to know and didn't ask. I just saw dollar signs parting them out.

also what $50k cars are going to the auction? Totally fake story
There are plenty of expensive cars at dealer auctions. Especially when they have TMCC, (Lexus), factory BMW or Mercedes off lease.
It's 2024, $50k is an average car now, or a slightly above average car a year or two old (lease return).
