Love this song. Saw them last November and they played this one live. That intro is hand down thee most djent thing i have ever heard. They ended their show with Humiliative, Demiurge and Bleed. It was a monstrous set.

I can never decide if I like Meshuggah or not, and that alone keeps me going back to them cause I hate being indecisive. So I guess they win!

It seems to be a functioning marketing strategy on their behalf. Don'matter if ya like it as long as ya keep consuming hehe!

I can tell you why I love this song. It makes me think of myself as a 15-year-old in 1987, hanging out with my friends, drinking and smoking, and NOT getting laid.

That sounds like a very 15-year old thing to do, sounds like a spectacular time! Wish I'd been around at the time, except I don't wish to be older hehe!

@@thewindmillfullovcorpses Well, 1987 Romania wasn't so hot, but I get your point.

This album really made me think of Metallica when i first heard it. Not every song but just a small thread through the album.

And there seems to be some extreme James Hetfield in the vocals. ;-)

@@thewindmillfullovcorpses yeah you guys should definitely do that, I know right after in death is death is shed, basically you should do all four of those songs and basically catch 33 is a transitioning album. But you should definitely go for those well at least 3 songs and mind mirror
Of course, starting with minds mirror which then goes into life is death which then goes into in death is death which THEN goes into shed, and etc

Looking at the thumbnail, I thought the album cover was the 1968 cover of the movie Planet of the Apes lol. Went to check it and I honestly can't blame myself for thinking so lmao.
I've never heard this track from them but, some of the transitions in this track in particular like between the intro and first verse) reminded me of old Dream Theater track transitions. With more chug of course.
Also, dunno if this was added in the queue list but, you should check out the BlazBlue soundtrack if you have the chance. The same composer as Guilty Gear and also worked with Galneryus on the latest tracks. I recommand Rebellion 2 or Gluttony Fang 2 to begin with or Black Onslaught 2 for sickest (and shortest) drum intro.
    ...but also more shuggah
PS: "the thing you run on" -> The Treadmill Full ov Corpses

Planet of the apes, except it's not because it's Planet of The Chugs! And hahaha, running on a treadmill full of corpses would be somewhat difficult... ya know... cos of the BODIES!
