If patient exhibit shock S/S n life threatening injuries dont we load n go, performing secondary en route? I mean the patient is dying and the EMT is like let me check this (x17) off! Imagine its a child...im load n go after flail chest deminished signs, or unresponsive? ALS could be stalled up and you had opportunity to get patient to hospital. I guess nothing is perfect but if im 8 minutes from trauma center n ALS 12 minutes out ,...im taking the patient and getting fired later....
HE went through so smooth. Im not there yet.

This was by far the cleanest trauma assessment I’ve seen thus far, not too packed/ load and go after immediate life threats and smooth
probably the most faithful trauma assessment to NREMT's skill sheets. Huge ups!
Massive respect to first responders. You folks are so extremely heroic.

The secondary assessment can be done while blackboarding and loading the patient who is likely stripped of clothing making it pretty fast.
