Thank you!!!! My daughter dropped mine at Yellowstone and I am having the same exact problem. I’m sure it’s a piece of plastic loose in there because it was working after dropped, for a little bit, then making noise and giving error message. I’ll let you know how the repairs go! I know these repair vids take time and effort so THANK YOU!
Thanks for your comment. I hope it helps. I actually broke my previous camera dropping it on the way TO Yellowstone! I had purchased this camera to replace that one on the way there. It's been almost a year since this repair video and my camera is still working great. I carry it around a lot too.
Nice video, I watched it because I planned to add an external jack for an external mic. I was very careful in disassembling my Nikon Coolpix S9900, but when reassembled back the camera it did not work well as before been disassembled... I have taken apart and put back together the cam since then several times but each time there is a different issue, I think it is the ribons that are not making a good contact with the connectors, but they are put back very carefully by me. i do not know what else to do, the camera was working well and never had an issue with it before. I have disassembled and fix many laptops and smart phones and several other electronic equipment but I do not know what is happening with my camera... Any suggestions, please?
Oh, my God. So much things to disassembly. I just need to clean the lens because has dust in the interior side of lens. It is necessary to disassembly all pieces of camera include the block of lens, right?
