These compressors are very quiet, yet this one’s big enough to keep up with the air assist needed for this boss laser cutter. In this video we go through the process of converting everything and hooking it up to the laser cutter.

So these being “oil free compressors” do you find your laser lense doesnt get oily residue on it ?

How has been holding up? Do you feel like the 10gallon tank has enough capacity for your cutting projects? About how many minutes of cutting do you get to do before the compressor turns on again?

I have several Boss Machines and can tell you its more about CFM than capacity. To keep up, you will need a motor than can push 1.5CFM or more per machine. This Air Compressor puts out a little more than 3 CFM so it can work for 2 machines. I will say though, these air compressors are NOT continuous duty, so if your machine gets heavy use (more than 4 hours a day) they will not last more than 6 months-year in my experience. I have switched to GAST compressors and they also work great. Much more pricey though. But are rated for continuous duty.
