My favourites from these pairings are the Tantric Dakini and the Urban Crow. They go so different directions, I think the Dakini promotes more the very intense vibes of the aArbara Walker (divine, ancient and cruel?, and an energy that is much bigger than a human being could completely grasp), while the Urban crows puts it somehow into a context of a "me, experiencing and acting here and now", psychological/ connecting with one's own soul and connecting with the outside world, and thus transforming the energy from the Barbara Walker deck in a way that makes it usable and practical. Sorry, I can't express what I mean better , as English is not my first language. But very loosely said, on the tree of life, the first pairing feels to me to dwell in the top triangle, and the crow pairing in the lowest triangle and malkuth.
I have had Barbara Walker in my 'to buy later' folder for several years. Another deck always came home to me though. The moment you said this felt like a Witchy deck, I paused the video and bought her. I'm going to try pairing her with the Wild Unknown Alchemy Oracle, Pride of Dragons Oracle, andDaily Crystal Inspiration Oracle. I liked your pairing with The Urban Crow, so I may try that as well. Those Urban Crows are always cranky and snarky with me. Lol I want to try her with Tarot of the Spirit and see if they give a good cohesive reading. This was fun, Candy! I actually got something from each of your pairings. I really liked Witches' Oracle, the Wild Goddess Oracle and the Urban Crow with the Barbara Walker Tarot. When you discussed using the oracle to give an action or a way to embody the message, well, that was inspiring. I wonder if there are other pairings that would turn the reading into an action that would allow the embodiment of the message for self health or wellness?

Because the Barbara Walker tarot contains such strong images of people, I tend to pair it with decks that highlight landscapes and/or plants. Such as the Lynn Andrews decks and the mushroom oracle. But my favorite pairing is with the Mystagogus Oracle. Seeing the soul cards again makes me realize how much I want to purchase at least one of those decks. Thanks for a great video candy!
I never would have thought of the tantric dakini as a pair. I will need to remember to give it a try next time I have one of them out. 🌞 SOTW samhain has been my favourite deck to pair with it & witches oracle.
